Thank you all for doctor-changing support, I feel a bit shit about it because everyone else raves about how great she is, but maybe they like being nagged.

Welcome sage!

B0nnie79 · 13/09/2019 19:12

I'm a bit late to the party, but can I join too please? Baby number 4 due on the 11th!

mummabear18 · 14/09/2019 08:25

Does anyone else have awful calf cramps in the night or coccyx pain when sitting down?

Camomila · 14/09/2019 10:52

Not quite but I've been coughing/throwing up a lot and get horrible stitches in my side and bottom Blush

My DBro yesterday "All your names sound like you vote for the green party!" (We do)
He's a paramedic and complained that all the toddlers he gets called out to have the same names as the pensioners. He wants to call DS2 'Genghis' so he can hardly talk Smile

WatchingTheMoon · 14/09/2019 12:08

"Does anyone else have awful calf cramps in the night or coccyx pain when sitting down?"

No, but I usually get calves in my cramps when I've been drinking (not nowadays obviously) because I'm dehydrated, so maybe it's that? Especially if you're throwing up or whatever.

raligator · 14/09/2019 17:21

@mummabear18 Yes!!
Oh my goodness, the cramps are the worst, what a horrible way to wake up! And I’ve got the coccyx pain when sitting down /going for a walk too.. oh the joys!!

SleepingStandingUp · 14/09/2019 20:47

Welcome @BOnnie79

All your names sound like you vote for the green party!" (We do) what kinda names do you like??

Camomila · 15/09/2019 08:42

Sleeping
Completly normal (for Brighton) Rowan, Jasper, Felix, Otto, Tristan...
I made a massive A4 list! I've got more traditional ones like Alexander and Leo too, and Italian ones like Matteo or Alessandro - I'm Italian. Then I told DBro DSs nursery class names and he fell about laughing (he is in a class of teeny Edwardians)

If anyone needs girl inspiration there's I think 2 Mabels, an Audrey, a Claudia and a Cecilia (such lovely names!)

PeachPixie · 15/09/2019 12:02

Hi, can I join in (a bit late to the party) Due my first baby on the 20th of January. Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 15/09/2019 16:08

@Camomila they're pretty normal names! not what you'd get around here but then we're very far from Brighton!! We had Tristan on our list

Of course @PeachPixie welcome

Camomila · 15/09/2019 16:34

I know, I think DBro just likes teasing!

Welcome PeachPixie

karryk · 15/09/2019 21:18

@mummabear18 yes. They're not as bad this time around as with when I was expecting my daughter but if I stretch too much in bed, the cramps start...ouch!

I find if I stand for too long or sit for too long, I end up hobbling for a while 😬

Kinsters · 17/09/2019 08:25

Camomila I love those names! We're pretty set on calling our little girl Camilla and haven't told anyone because I'm sure we'll get some comments. I think it's the right name though, it makes me smile whenever I think of it and her.

Indigestion is getting so bad - ended up throwing up because of it last night (although not sure if it was because of indigestion or because I fell asleep with a lemon flavoured indigestion tablet in my mouth then woke up with it in the back of my throat 🤢 )

For those with cramps make sure you're getting enough calcium, someone at work got awful cramps in her legs until she started taking calcium supplements and then they went away.

WatchingTheMoon · 18/09/2019 02:30

I like Camilla, it's cute!

For names, we'll use a Korean first name and English middle name. Already picked out, but obviously WAY too outing as he'll probably be the only one in the world!

In Korea, there are usually 'generational' names which means that each member of that generation has one part of the name the same.

So, for example, my husband's father's generational name is Min so he is MinSu and his brothers and cousins are MinJoo, MinJung, MinSeok, MinWoo etc. My husband's name is YooHwan and his brothers and cousins are JeongHwan, SeungHwan, JunHwan etc. (not their actual names).

So we're going to use the generational name too. It's cool because if you meet someone with the same surname and the same generational name as you, you know you are distant cousins!

Angliski · 19/09/2019 05:03

@Camomila we are in brighton too! First baby at 41. Due 4th Jan. Keep waking up at 3.30 am very alert - so annoying also I have a sore arse/coccyx but otherwise happy! We are keeping surprise for gender but have decided on names for either sex.

Who is still having sex? I am really Randy at mo but think hubby is worried about baby...

Kinsters · 19/09/2019 09:07

WatchingTheMoon we have the generation name thing in Chinese as well. Really struggling with a Chinese name though, none of DH's family seem that interested so we might just leave it. Seems a shame though.

Angliski we haven't done it for ages, partly because most positions are painful for my hips but also neither of us are really feeling turned on by pregnant sex. I know some women's sex drive increases and I wish mine had but it's just disappeared!

SleepingStandingUp · 19/09/2019 11:44

sound's I'd say my sex drive is same as normal but energy isn't, so the thought of hauling my 24 week pregnant body on top is less appealing than sex sometimes haha and can't relax in missionary for fear of squashing baby. I'm aiming for once a week but not always especially as some days my vaginas just left aches 😂

Camomila · 19/09/2019 12:50

Hi Angliski !

0 sex here, my hyperemisis is so bad even baby kicking makes me seasick Sad

Angliski · 21/09/2019 08:50

Ah well seems I am not alone. I would quite like some action but not much going on in the trouser department. @camomilia feel for you sounds tough. Lol to @sleepstandingup and sigh to @kinsters

splishandsplash · 22/09/2019 18:30

So happy, and probably so early but we have done the nursery! 😍 I'm only 25 weeks but very busy over the next few weeks so our boys room is done 😊

mummabear18 · 22/09/2019 19:52

Thanks so much, @raligator and @karryk, luckily this past week they've been easing off. I raised it at the midwife check-in this week and she said sometimes the baby will just take more nutrients than we can support - she specifically called out calcium and magnesium and told me to check in with the ward nurses on additional supplements and get a check-up on the ward next time they strike... fingers crossed I'm past the worst of it!!

mummabear18 · 22/09/2019 19:54

Also qq re: Facebook group. Is anyone here on the Facebook group able to add me? I've messaged @Victoriaaaaaaaa but can't get a response... understand we all have lives outside of this, just keen to be on that group!

Thanks all Smile

SleepingStandingUp · 22/09/2019 22:27

I am, I'll tell her x

mummabear18 · 22/09/2019 23:14

Thanks so much @SleepingStandingUp

splishandsplash · 23/09/2019 06:26

Is anyone else having the glucose test?

I'm having mine today, I've been fasting since 8pm last night but I've just woken up starving and I can't eat until after my second blood test which is around 10.30! 😩
