knobjockey someone i know recently had a baby, surname ends in -son and they gave her a -son first name. It grates on me soooo bad.

Puglover88 · 07/07/2019 11:57

@Whisky2014 yes I had that myself last night! Feels really weird!

Moraxella · 07/07/2019 12:14

@challengeyourreality I can’t face red meat and haven’t eaten any since Jan 😷

challengeyourreality · 07/07/2019 12:31

@Whisky2014 and @strawberrylaces88 I'm having the same painful and hard movements and turning, also sometimes a very fast and light movement that I would almost describe as a shiver. I think for some women it can be a normal way to experience movement but would be interested to hear others' thoughts.
@Moraxella for me it's especially chard, grated carrots, radishes and white cabbage. And red onions unless they are in tuna. Any crunchy, uncooked vegetables really. Been using online recipe finders for inspiration for evening meals as all my classic and go to meals are not doing it for me anymore.

Stroan · 07/07/2019 12:32

@whisky2014 yes! The movements feel so frantic sometimes that I have no idea what he is doing in there. Burrowing his way out maybe?!

Whisky2014 · 07/07/2019 12:49

Yes burrowing his way out is a good description!
Also makes me feel a bit ill thinking about that!!

Moraxella · 07/07/2019 13:08

I swear it scratched my insides the other day. Anything light and regular (like a faint tapping) I put down to hiccups. Get a lot of flurries of activity and some turns that I can feel like a build up of pressure, a kind of “forward roll” then a release and the bump has changed shape.

strawberrylaces88 · 07/07/2019 14:05

The flurry/burrowing feeling for me usually accompanies waking up absolutely starving. Maybe the baby's way of saying wake up mum I'm hungry!

boodles101 · 07/07/2019 14:29

Growth scan done. Twin 1 (girl) is now 3lbs and twin 2 (boy) is now 3lbs 11. Clearly liked all the food I ate while we were away!
I've now gone from worrying about them being small to worrying how big they'll be. Quick someone book me the csection!

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/07/2019 14:41

Boodles Grin

Have my 31 week appointment tomorrow, intrigued to see what i am now measuring as i feel bloody huge. I can feel the waddle. I can't pick things off the floor and all of my maternity clothes are too small!

boodles101 · 07/07/2019 14:48

Decaf I'm huge and waddling. Just explained to DH that I'm carrying 6lb11 of babies, plus 2 placentas (no clue what they weigh) plus all the water and extra blood. He was like oh I've never thought of it like that, no wonder you waddle! Smile

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/07/2019 14:50

Boodles i feel for you Flowers if i had twins i think i would just get a birthing pool and live in it for the last few months

Stroan · 07/07/2019 14:56

Eek, 6lb of babies and all the extras! Boodles, you are a hero.

The waddle is real here. But it's having some benefits, I took DD to gymnastics this morning and two different Mums told me to point out my child and they would keep an eye on her!

If I drop something, I think very carefully about how important it is before I attempt to pick it up 🤣

Tefiti2 · 07/07/2019 15:08

What fantastic weights @boodles101! How many weeks are you?

boodles101 · 07/07/2019 15:14

Tefiti I'm 30+2 today.
Stroan my 2 year old is currently my picker upper or he gets me things when I can't be bothered to get up 😆 I've got him well trained!

Dyra · 07/07/2019 15:18

I'd been wondering about 'flurry' type movements. I get a quite a number of them, so figured it was probably normal. Then it occurred to me the other day that there is a history of epilepsy in my family (nothing major), so was starting to worry a little. Glad it is normal, but now I just don't know. Poor regularly tantruming baby. I hope you'll at least find me comfy on the outside. Sad

DH and I still can't come to an agreement about a boy's name. And I have a feeling that we won't until after baby is born. And turns out to be a boy ofc. Thank goodness we'll have an additional 6 weeks to decide. I just hope DH never finds out that he can register the baby without me being present....

I still can't eat anything tasting too strongly of paprika. But I can eat raw apples and carrots again so overall a win.

Dyra · 07/07/2019 15:26

Gosh @boodles101. You champ you. Can't even begin to imagine how you're coping if the temperature goes even slightly above warm.

boodles101 · 07/07/2019 15:28

dyra luckily I have been ok up until now. I have struggled the past week but I did alot of walking while away and pushed myself too much. I was miserable with rib pain yesterday but other than that I'm quite lucky that I seem to do pregnancy well. I'm also saving my moaning for the next few weeks when I expect it to become alot tougher!!

Stroan · 07/07/2019 15:31

@boodles101 DD helps lift my legs up onto the sofa or footstool. She's lovely and gentle!

happydays00 · 07/07/2019 15:31

@boodles101 you're an absolute trooper. My friend had her twins at 6lb 9 and 5lb 12 (or very similar to that). She was pretty huge at the end but bounced back amazingly quickly - she did opt for a c section.

I'm struggling a bit today - feeling extremely snappy with my DH, not helped by the fact that I seem to be having fairly constant BHs and have had for a good few hours. Going to give it another couple of hours and maybe go in. Terrified at the prospect of going into pre term labour quite this early and as I'm such high risk of it with my Polyhydramnios it's infuriating my DH dismissing my concerns as he's "not worried about him coming for at least another 3 weeks" 😒 he's just asked me why I'm so arsey today?

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/07/2019 15:33

I have 4 picker upers Grin HOWEVER both dc3 and 4 keep sitting on me / climbing on me / sticking elbows in me Sad

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/07/2019 15:34

Happydays tell him the answer is in the mirror and he should go take a look Hmm

Stroan · 07/07/2019 15:42

@happydays00 in the nicest possible way, he doesn't get to decide if you should be worried or not.

@ivegotthedecaf I swear that the second I fell pregnant, DD turned into the touchiest, clingiest child. She just has to be on me or touching me ALL THE TIME, but just me. Leaves DH alone. The cuddles are lovely but she cannot be still. It's all flailing legs and arms and then she's doing headstands with her feet in my face!

DustyDoorframes · 07/07/2019 15:44

Argh, yes @IVEgottheDECAF and @Stroan the climbing! So you can get simultaneously kicked from inside and out. Joy.

happydays00 · 07/07/2019 15:57

Thanks @IVEgottheDECAF he wisely has taken himself and DD off and left me in peace. They really can be insensitive sometimes can't they?!

With you on the kicks, climbing from the toddlers. DD has developed a habit of just launching herself at me for a cuddle and trusting that I'll catch her. And I swear their pointy little elbows are like razors they're so sharp!
