Wto answer the NCT question, you can of course learn whatever you need fromm books and the Internet, but I don't think the friendships you make online with strangers you never meet is the same as a group of local women who you can get to know individually and meet up with during Mat leave

Ceejay19 · 23/07/2019 14:03

@sarah1swims I found NCT invaluable for making local friends (2 of whom I see weekly now with our 4 year olds and the others I see every couple of months). I think my mat leave would have been very different without them all!
For learning things, I don't think I learnt anything I couldn't have got elsewhere!

I've rearranged my gender scan for this evening at window to the womb but I'm only 15+6 and not 16 weeks! I've tried ringing but no ones answering the phone! Do you think they'll turn me away? 🙈

It's at 8pm so like 4 hours before 16 weeks 🙈

Just say 16. It's so close, I can't see how it will make any difference

megganonion · 23/07/2019 15:11

@Victoriaaaaaaaa i changed mine aswel to this sunday!! I couldnt wait any longer. Ill technically be 16+1 but baby has consistently measured 2 days behind the entire pregnancy, i said this to the receptionist and she said they will bring me back for a rescan if they can say gender 100%

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 23/07/2019 15:14

@DaisyMay25 Thank you. How is everything going for you? :)

DaisyMay25 · 23/07/2019 15:22

@UnicornsandRainbows1 alright, still very surreal! Found out it's a boy but probably won't believe it until my 20 week scan! Are you finding out the sex of yours?

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 23/07/2019 15:38

@DaisyMay25 Oh how exciting! I think we will :)

lifesnotaspectatorsport · 23/07/2019 16:01

Aw thanks for birthday wishes!
So tired and so hot!

mynameisMrG · 23/07/2019 17:04

It’s unbearably hot isn’t it! I’ve just ordered a large pool from amazon for me and DS to relax in on Thursday. We are both melting

SleepingStandingUp · 23/07/2019 17:51

The scan wasn't clear enough to see what they needed to see and they couldn't find the membrane between them, which isn't good. Clearer scan, t1 is lying across the bottom of my tummy, head right and t2 is head up near belly button and feet down to the right, so explains how much pain I'm getting that side.
Rescan next week when I'm in Wales so essentially a 6 hour round trip, just gotta pray it's for good news

lifesnotaspectatorsport · 23/07/2019 18:16

@SleepingStandingUp Sorry it wasn't a great scan - but the membrane can't disappear surely, if they saw it in earlier scans? Hope it's just the babies not co-operating and you get a clear scan next time x

SleepingStandingUp · 23/07/2019 18:25

I'm worried it might have ruptured turning their two bed apartment into one.

Was nice to see them all wiggly and active tho

mynameisMrG · 23/07/2019 18:35

What does it mean if there isn’t w membrane between them @SleepingStandingUp?

Sorry - left my name on my scan pic! 🙈
@SleepingStandingUp sorry it wasn't a great scan, hopefully it will look a bit better next week.

We had our scan this eve. Looks like we have a girl joining us in the new year 💖 happy, healthy baby on the screen... so pleased!

MrG basically because there would be two babies in one sack, they can get their umbilical cords tangled up and knotted which affects blood flow to them.

Congrats Bentley xx

How worrying for you @SleepingStandingUp, here’s hoping for a more positive result on monday

SleepingStandingUp · 23/07/2019 21:15

Thank you x

coconutlatte44 · 23/07/2019 21:15

Congrats to those of you receiving positive news and scans.

Is anyone else really struggling with food still? After dinner every night I feel sick for a good few hours and the only thing that seems to help it is lying down.

I can't majorly change the number of meals per day at the moment as am in the middle of a group tour with organized meals!!

Tonight dinner was super early, 5-6 pm. Spent the last few hours feeling sick and trying to recover. Finally felt better around 9 only to have a sudden onslaught of hunger and am now sitting here in my hotel room raiding my insufficient stash of snacks 😩😩😩😩😩

Anyone else with me? I'm 14+1 and thought this crap was supposed to end at some point! 😅

McHelenz · 23/07/2019 21:45

@coconutlatte44 me. I went to the doctors today because I vomitted water all morning and have mornings of vomitting bile. I've been tested for my thyroid and signed off for a week currently, I'm 15 + 5.

mynameisMrG · 23/07/2019 21:59

Ooh just had the worst lightning Crotch. Nearly shot off the bed!

karryk · 23/07/2019 22:16

@coconutlatte44 yup... I have no appetite in the evenings whatsoever. My dinner portion is smaller than what my 2 year old has Blush

Wishing you well @SleepingStandingUp hope there's some reassuring news for you soon.

@mynameisMrG Oh no.. The fanny daggers! I've had them on and off
