Congrats on the scan @Chuchu14 👏🏼

And congrats on your baby boys @DaisyMay25 & @FirstTim3Mummy - how exciting 💙

Feeling so much better again today - it's so refreshing to actually be able to get out & about. DH & I did a car boot sale this morning to get rid of all the junk cluttering up in the baby's room so we can start decorating after the 20 week scan in a few weeks time. Not baby related but the lady who was walking around with her cat on a lead did make me smile 😂

@daisymay25 @firsttim3mummy, congratulations on your beautiful boys, how exciting!! 💙 Do you have any names in mind? X

@Bentley111, ha ha that cat pic made me smile!! We're also in de clutter mode, I'm making lists! Hope the car boot went well? Xx

OK, I may be going mad here... I'm just over 15 weeks, so I know it's probably too early, but I think I may have just felt the tiniest movement?? I'm at my mums, sat by a fan and I could swear I felt the faintest little flutter, on one side of my little bump (the side that feels 'heavier' if that makes sense?!) I'm fairly tiny so midwife did mention I might start feeling things a bit sooner... Any chance it could be or am I over thinking? Xx

Camomila · 21/07/2019 16:17

Sounds like a flutter Fivebyfive2 Smile I'm skinny and was feeling flutters by wk 14/15 in my first pg. I think.I felt baby at my 12 week scan this time - I felt 'something' just as baby did a roll on screen.

Bentley111 · 21/07/2019 16:24

Yeah it went really well thanks @Fivebyfive2 - I've never done one before and was amazed at what stuff people buy...! The cat literally made me laugh out loud. I'm really tiny too and was feeling flutters about 14 and a half weeks.

Fivebyfive2 · 21/07/2019 16:49

Ah so maybe I'm not crazy then 😀

@bentley111, we did a car boot before our wedding years ago and it was insane, people literally buying and selling anything!!

We have a single bed to get rid of and the draws underneath are just used to put stuff we don't use but for some reason feel a need to keep! I was joking to my mum I might just put an add on fb or wherever "free to collect, must take bed and everything it" 😂

mynameisMrG · 21/07/2019 17:23

How’s everyone doing today? We have been at a garden party today so I’m now laid in the sofa suffering from hay fever and a headache 😕 three more days of work until the holidays though! Going to hibernate for August I think

DaisyMay25 · 21/07/2019 18:23

@Fivebyfive2 my little one will be called Isaac

@Bentley111 that's too cute, I think seeing a cat on a lead would've made my day!!

SleepingStandingUp · 21/07/2019 18:35

Good name Diasy, my nephew is an Izaak

I worked 2000 Trees festival a few years back and a couple had a beautiful cat who sat on their shoulders as they walked round

Kinsters · 22/07/2019 03:49

So pleased to hear you're starting to feel a bit better Bentley, must be such a relief for you. That cat is so funny! We've been thinking of trying one of ours on a lead, she loves to go out but is such a scaredy cat and seems to prefer being accompanied which isn't ideal if she's not on a lead!

Fivebyfive2 I thought I started to feel stuff around the same time! 16+5 today and it hasn't really gotten much stronger although I thought I felt a few better defined kicks the other day.

Pregnancy insomnia seems to be back for me, keep waking up at 4 or 5am and not really getting back to sleep. Ok at the weekends when I can have a nap in the afternoon but sucks during the week. I've found with my hip pain it really helps to engage my core as I walk - like sort of sucking my stomach in and up, keeps everything feeling much more stable.

Chuchu14 · 22/07/2019 08:04

Congratulations on the boys @DaisyMay25 and @FirstTim3Mummy!

@Bentley111glad you are feeling better. It's nice when the sickness starts to fade and you get more energy.

Here's our little bubba didnt have time to post a picture the other day Smile

Great start to the day. Fell down the last few stairs this morning and landed on my back 😕 feeling bruised and sorry for myself

SleepingStandingUp · 22/07/2019 08:31

Oh no MrG, you gonna get checked out? Can you rest today?

Kinsters · 22/07/2019 09:32

Oo that's useful Daisy, thanks.

Is anyone else already counting down to mat leave? The earliest I can take it is 28 weeks and I'm very tempted...we're moving house and I'm changing to a different office with a completely different set of clients at 26 weeks, sitting all day is already really painful. I can't face doing this for another 22 weeks! I'd end up doing an extra three months unpaid but think we'd be able to manage fine. But then I feel a bit pathetic for wanting to leave so early - it's kind of expected here that you work up until you literally go into labour. I don't know how other women do it.

DaisyMay25 · 22/07/2019 09:44

@Kinsters 17 weeks and 4 days to go...
I'm going off at 31+2 (starting with two weeks holiday)
DH has some holiday still left that'll expire before Isaac is here so he's gonna take two weeks off with me too.
I just wanna relax before chaos and my job stresses me out far too much!
I think if you wanna go off at 28 weeks then do it, you're pregnant, it's hard work!

Bentley111 · 22/07/2019 10:07

Thanks @DaisyMay25 that's really useful. Have started making a list but too scared to buy anything at the moment Blush

Not at all @Kinsters I'm thinking the same thing. I am thinking of going off the last week of November/first week Dec - I'll be too pregnant to travel to see my family at Christmas & it's not feasible for them all to come & see us. Do it!

Oh no @mynameisMrG hope you are ok. Definitely get checked out if you feel sore.

Woke up feeling really sick again today - think I may have overdone it having a couple of good days. Such a pain 😩

mynameisMrG · 22/07/2019 10:40

Thanks ladies, I’m feeling a bit better. Just a bit of a bruised back. If I’d fallen forwards id defo be going to the epu. I’ve got the midwife on Wednesday so I’m going to mention it to her when I see her. Just annoyed at myself for not being more careful.

SleepingStandingUp · 22/07/2019 10:54

I feel I'm limbo, too scared to buy or receive much but feel like buying stuff is an a t of faith in a positive outcome. 29 hours until scan

MrsP4 · 22/07/2019 11:50

Here it is 13+3 due date 24th Jan 💗💙 what do you think?

SleepingStandingUp · 22/07/2019 12:44

Lovely scan, I'm voting ❤️

CatRash · 22/07/2019 12:48

@MrsP4 Congratulations! I think boy! You might want to edit your picture as can see your full name and DOB.

Sweetooth92 · 22/07/2019 13:05

Struggling to keep up with here as it seems to be moving fast!
Congratulations to those having scans recently, seems to be loads

Just a quick note re the list above, while it’s useful to have all the items in one place-please don’t let it overwhelm anyone! A lot of the stuff on there is optional/nice to have but by no means essential. I didn’t want the sheer volume to worry anyone doing this for the first time as it could be daunting thinking everything is 100% needed!

megganonion · 22/07/2019 13:31

@SleepingStandingUp hope all goes well with your scan x

Camomila · 22/07/2019 14:33

Ooh I think girl as well MrsP4

Good luck with your scan Sleeping I saw a brilliant name the other day - Leonidas - and thought of you (I saw your baby names thread)

MrsP4 · 22/07/2019 14:40

Thanks everyone! No idea how to edit the picture so I'll just leave it it's ok, I'm pretty sure no one would want to steal my identity 😂 xx
