Tentatively starting this as got a surprise bfp today, due date will be 29 Feb-2 March I think. Currently in shock and not even sure if we can go ahead but I hope we can as the news has made me happy, if scared!

Anyone else?

@Cocomad were you consultant led last time? I had GD in later pregnancy and at my booking appointment my midwife listed me as higher risk so I'm now under consultant led again but will all the same midwife appointments which seems ridiculous!

Cute story from me today - went for a lunchtime walk with a colleague, walked past a car garage and once the smell of paint hit me, I dry wretched on the pavement until I couldn't see, my eyes were watering so much and I was drooling like a dog... managed to convince her I was severely hungover, which wasn't hard - I looked like such a cretin 😂

@Frillyfarmer I was because I was on epilepsy medication at the time However my last seizure was when I was 13 weeks with dd so we decided to wean off the meds so I’ve been off them for about a year now so I don’t know weather I will still need to be consultant led this time, I did have an emergency section with my dd so not sure if I would be consultant led because of this.

I noticed today my sense of smell has gone mad I could smell garlic on my boss a mile off and there was a lady in the office wearing (in my pregnant opinion) an extremely offensive perfume it probably wasn’t that bad to everyone else but once I had smelt it once I couldn’t get the smell out of my nose.

@Bigpea I am also 34 with first

So glad those who’ve had appointments have gone well. @RoRosmama your scan is just perfect! And @satsumasaturday that’s so lovely that you got to hear the heartbeat, can the midwife listen with the Doppler thing at around that time or was it a scan? I phoned for my first appt yesterday and it’s in 3 weeks when I’ll be 7+4. Last time my initial appt was at 4+4 but we live in a village and midwife clinics are not very frequent so think was just lucky last time! I’ve had one successful pregnancy before with my little girl but also a mmc before that so I’m starting to feel anxious about the wait til the 12 week scan! Last time we went for an early one privately which we might do again. I think I feel more relaxed than last time when but still a bit nervous!

Hi everyone. Hope all doing well. I have had an early scan today but dates don't match LMP. They said my date's from LMP should be 8 wk but scan only shows 5 wks. Have to wait 2 wks for another to see if anything develops. I'm scared, worried, upset and confused. 😢😢

@sam2012 Please try not to worry. I also calculated mine wrong and first scan there was no heartbeat as it was too early. When is your next scan?

Is anyone else getting period like stomach cramps? Mine are less frequent now but still getting them 😕

@Kimberlily Yep, every time it happens I worry as it happened with my MCs, but have to remind myself that it also happened with DD who is now a healthy 2yo. So I think it's normal unless really terribly painful / accompanied by bleeding.

Hello ladies, please may I join? Only just got my BFP this morning so rough due date 30th March, only just sneaking in! This is my 2nd, excited and terrified in equal measure! Did I read that there is a Facebook group too and if so please could someone tell me how to join? Nice to 'meet' you all :-) x

Thanks @Abi58 did you tell your parents this weekend? We told mine which made me super nervous because we had to do it before the scan. They were very excited as this would be first grandchild for them but we've sworn them to secrecy as it's so early.

@BramwellHadThoughtOfEverything we didn't hear the heartbeat, only saw it. I assumed it would be too early to hear anything. Not sure what a Doppler is... there was jelly and a metal thing with a ball on the end that she was rolling over my belly. Well, I think that's what it was, I was looking at the screen though so can't really remember!

Hi ladies, I'm finally building up the courage to join you all on your journeys having followed you all for the last 3 weeks since I found out I am pregnant. I've been terrified to join as I have had 2 previous MCs, the most recent being in May. This is my third pregnancy.

So, 6+5 today and based on LMP, EDD is 12th March. I have an early scan booked next Thursday as, like everyone here, I just need to know all is progressing as it should. I also have a midwife appointment next Friday.

I think I've had most symptoms but they seem to have settled with exception of being crazy tired and emotional. Almost stormed out of work this morning I was just so full of rage!

Anyway, looking forward to chatting to you all along the way!
