@NoMoreFastCars82 - might have to send the husband out to Morrison's for that juice- sounds great!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 12:39

@KatiePix it's seriously nice! Though I've no idea what guanabana is 😂😂 I'll get pic of carton for you x

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 12:41

@KatiePix there you go 🙂

@KatiePix make sure you tell them how much weight you've lost, that's a sure sign of HG. They really should be doing more to help you. I was really lucky and have seen two fab GPs.
HG or not, if you're being sick that much and are losing wEight, they should definitely step in and give you something.
Don't worry about malnutrition too much - at this stage they are very selfish and will take everything they need from your reserves. Keep the fluids up though if you can. I've found it easier to keep a bottle of water (like the love island ones!) with ice and take a tiny sip every 5 mins as opposed to a "big drink" every few hours when I'm thirsty.
Is there anything you can eat? I've found things like toast, boiled eggs... anything that doesn't "smell" when cooking is much more palatable.
Also, I'm burning lemon citronella candles at home... it just makes the house smell slightly fresher and eases my nausea a bit.

MummyBearBoo · 14/06/2019 12:51

The placenta doesn't form til around 10 weeks so being sick won't affect the baby before that as they have their own little food sac! Xx

KatiePix · 14/06/2019 12:56

Thank you ladies- yep we m burning candles in rooms too to help with smell. My husband is banished to the garden to eat any hot food as I just can't stand the smell.
I am trying to eat small things I can nibble on in little bits- carrot battons, toast solders, slices of pepper and ginger biscuits. Sometimes the Food stays down but often not Confused
I've mentioned each time to the GP how much weight I've lost and they just sign me off work and tell me to rest. I don't have a lot of faith in them TBH.
My regular gp is now on holiday so I'm hoping the gp who calls me this afternoon (hopefully!) might be more helpful. I've printed out a BMJ article and am going to ask the GO to do the PUQE Form with me.
I just don't think feeling like I permanently have food poisoning can be normal!

anitagreen · 14/06/2019 13:19

I'm really nervous about my blood test results I had them done Monday if something bad had shown would I of heard by now? Panicking slightly x

BowiesJumper · 14/06/2019 13:25

I can't remember how long my blood test results took last pregnancy anita.

I had mine done last Friday and haven't heard from them yet.
They do call you if there's anything worrying though.

megganonion · 14/06/2019 13:40

I rang my local hospital yesterday regarding my 12 week scan, they still have not recieved my paperwork and will not book me in for one until they recieve it and there is a 4 week wait, i got really upset as the receptionist was incredibly rude and told me i should have booked in sooner, i arranged my booking in appointment at 4-5 weeks the midwife couldnt fit me in before 8-9 weeks. I told the receptionist this and she just said they cant see me for 4 weeks at least 😡 surely my consultant should make that call based on my blood work not the receptionist. And it wouldnt kill her to be a bit nicer to people 😥

bunanarama · 14/06/2019 13:51

@Kinsters we moved to SG late Oct 2017 for hubby's job although it was something that we'd been hoping to do for a while (love of sunshine, south east Asian beaches and expat living). I was 7 months pregnant at the time so was perfect timing for us as I could take my year mat leave out here. Was lucky enough to get my job transferred start of this year. Where abouts in Malaysia are you?

I'm exhausted but forcing myself to get up for bootcamp tomorrow as stood on the scales today and am a bit concerned about the rate I'm gaining. Should probably also stop with second breakfast, croissants and second helpings at dinner.

SylviaUndata · 14/06/2019 13:54

@KatiePix I am also on Promethazine i had to take them 4 times a day for a couple of days (though they didn't always stay down :( )at the start but now only twice. I am very lucky in that it works OK for me and has settled my symptoms down to more manageable nausea and only vomiting 2/3 times a day. I honestly didn't know how i was going to get through it at 6 weeks i am starting to improve as i get towards 10 weeks. I hope the doctors are helpful and things start to improve for you soon.

HungryPanda92 · 14/06/2019 13:56

Checking in on new thread.
This is first pregnancy, I'm 7+5 and due 26/01/20.

@Mirana I'd have to say something about that. She sounds very cold. Is there any way you can request a different midwife?

Bentley111 · 14/06/2019 14:07

Good luck @KatiePix it sounds like you're doing all the right things.

@anitagreen I had my blood tests done on Wednesday and they called me this morning with bad results. I reckon if you've not heard by Monday you're in the clear x

TheOnlyMrsA · 14/06/2019 14:16

How are we all today lovely ladies?

I had to call in work sick today, after a very low sickness rate over the pregnancy overall I've thrown up, on a bus, full of passengers! 🤦🏻‍♀️🤮.

I'm lucky that my manager is a friend of my mums (my mum worked in my department for 20 years, as she transferred I joined) so I feel comfortable telling her stuff like that and she was lovely! Xox

anitagreen · 14/06/2019 14:18

@Bentley111 Oh Bentley I'm so sorry to hear that hopefully it's not too bad I just read your post now on your results I'm 90% sure my mum had this with my sister everything was okay I think she needed frequent bloods though and she went on to have another shortly after and the blood was okay then, it seemed to happen after she had a blood transfusion before getting pregnant x

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 14:22

@TheOnlyMrsA oh no, a bus bless ya! 😷

One day won't hurt, I've had 7 since I found out but I drive majority of a day in company car and I'm not safe to drive on the tablets I'm on at min and certainly wasn't well enough at 7 weeks when I had sickness and acid reflux 24/7 without a break 👎🏻

Hopefully next week will be better

Meanwhile you can all laugh Cos I had pasta and sauce for breakfast (cheese leek and ham one lol) and super noodles for lunch and I've just taken my antibiotic and cocodamol and I'll most prob be zonked shortly 😂

SleepingStandingUp · 14/06/2019 14:30

Sorry you've had bad news Bentley x

Bentley111 · 14/06/2019 14:34

@TheOnlyMrsA oh that sounds awful poor you 🤢

That's really reassuring thank you @anitagreen x I spoke to my best friend this afternoon and apparently her cousin had it with all 4 of her pregnancies. I do feel slightly less anxious now 🙈

TheOnlyMrsA · 14/06/2019 15:01

@Bentley111 what's gone on with you blood work my love?

@NoMoreFastCars82 literally everywhere school kids were ewing I was crying my eyes out all very embarrassing luckily I'd only gotten 3 stops from home so I managed to cut through the local park and get back into my PJ. Was mortified! Have you been poorly? I'm so out of the loop?!

My diet is orange juice and cuppa soups with dry crackers atm ... if I actually fancy anything else I do eat it but I can bite my favourite food and I'm like 'nope' xo

anitagreen · 14/06/2019 15:10

@Bentley111 that's ok hopefully you'll be fine I think it's quite common I know my cousin had it also and she was fine kids are all fine think she has four of five kid now x

Anon120 · 14/06/2019 15:12

@TheOnlyMrsA @NoMoreFastCars82 I'm glad other people have random diets.. I had 3 packs of belvita biscuits and a peanut butter sandwich this morning then a chocolate bar at lunch.. now feel sick. But that was what I really wanted at the time.. jawline and chin have broken out with painful under the skin acne. Does anyone else have this? Can't work out if it's hormones, my poor diet or stress

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 15:18

@TheOnlyMrsA pjs make things much better as you can relax now and don't need to move bless you x
Yeah I'm stuck with an infected tooth Hun so been off last two days with something new instead of morning sickness 😂 though that's been back today so I've eaten through it as best I can.

@Anon120 the cocodamol is kicking in which means I can't feel my face and can sit and eat this galaxy caramel bar without any pain 💪🏻 it's the little things that make you feel better lol

AstroKate · 14/06/2019 15:19

@Anon120 I have exactly the same. My chin is covered in red rash/bumps like acne and my skin is as dry and flakey as the desert

My midwife told me skin problems are actually more common than nausea and should go away after first 12 weeks (but also cautioned some have it the duration!!)

Either way, my face looks like it's had some sort of infectious outbreak!!

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 15:19

@Anon120 forgot to say my jawline I have some too and they're annoying but they come and go from week to week so think it's hormones 👎🏻

TheOnlyMrsA · 14/06/2019 15:20

@Anon120 my forehead had it last week it seeming to ease but I don't have spots regularly even as a teenager!

I just eat what o fancy. If I can stomach it and try to make healthy picks where I can but I'm just so into carbs and comfort food. It's like being hungover everyday! 😂😂
