@anitagreen I suffer with terrible anxiety, I've always been 'highly strung' but after some very traumatic life events It kills me to get out of bed because I know the bed is safe 🤦🏻♀️.
Pregnancy seems to have helped - other than the pregnancy related anxieties and fears I haven't had as many daily battles with myself.
My main recommendation for dealing with anxious moments and attacks is 5 things focusing.
Close your eyes and breath deeply through your nose and focus on somthing you can smell and hone in on that smell.
Open your eyes and list things you see around you, solid things like buildings, a table, things that are fixed in your surrounds if it helps list them out loud
Try and pick out things you can here, even in a silent space like an empty house ... do you hear the birds outside or a car... maybe the neighbours chattering or the tv in the background... who's voice can you pick out.
Reach out your hands and touch things around you or even focus on the denim on your legs or a carpet between your feet. What different textures do you feel around you
Taste is a little trickier but maybe you taste your morning coffee or toothpaste still... or think of your favourite tastes and things you'd like to taste once you've calmed down.
It's somthing that has really helped me and I've managed to refine the technique over the last 2 years so I can do it relatively unnoticed in public settings now! I hope this helps! Xox
