Can you ring your midwife @megganonion? Most booking appointments are st about 8-9 weeks, they should have received your paperwork straightaway.

@TheOnlyMrsA they found antibodies in my blood. I'm Rh negative and it looks like baby is Rh positive.

@Anon120 I'm also covered in acne under my chin, I feel like some sort of lizard. Sorry you've got it too - did put it down to diet but perhaps it's a hormone thing?

DaisyMay25 · 14/06/2019 16:35

Sorry so many of you are suffering, I hope it passes for you all soon.

I'm 11+2 and things are looking up. Nausea is minimal so I'm starting to eat and drink normalish and my skin has actually started to clear up! Now I'm suffering from not being able to go to the toilet but I'll probably just take some lactoluse later. I need to see all the time now though.

I feel like at 11 I've turned a corner! 11 days til my scan then I'll start getting more excited

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 16:56

@DaisyMay25 glad you're feeling good 🙂 gives us all hope it's coming for us too lol x

TheOnlyMrsA · 14/06/2019 17:14

@Bentley111 AntiD injection for you when the babies born then?

@NoMoreFastCars82 ouchie nothing worse than tooth ache. On top of everything else too 😖

Mirana · 14/06/2019 17:29

Sorry to hear everyone is under the weather :(

Am going to write an email to the hospital PALS service and see what they say, maybe I can have an appointment with someone else who is more understanding! Or just someone else in future.

Sickness is doing my head in... I only actually throw up at certain sights or smells, but the nausea is constant all day, from the moment I wake up until I fall asleep. Feels like I'm constantly about to vom at any second. Roughly 7+5 today, I'm very grateful that things are seemingly healthy, but I feel awful in myself. My ribs are also so so sore from heaving, it really hurts now! I keep thinking back to 4 weeks ago, where I panicked if I had a sickness free day, now I'm praying for one (bet if I got one I'd go straight back to worrying though Grin). Have asked my Mum to pick up some of the juice recommended here from her next Morrisons run, willing to try anything at this point... Even guanabana! haha

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 17:38

@Mirana bless you! ☹️ I'm with you today, my sickness is back with a vengeance now the amoxicillin has taken most my infection away and things are back to pregnancy normality 🙄 I feel hungry but my god I just want to barf constantly!!

The guanabana juice is really refreshing and cool and not too much ginger that it's over powering 🙂 I'm hoping it works as well for others as it has for me 👍🏻

Bentley111 · 14/06/2019 18:21

@TheOnlyMrsA it can cause anaemia and jaundice in babies if untreated whilst they're cooking if antibodies are present. Basically I'm fighting my baby :( so I will need anti-d a couple of times during pregnancy I think.
Really shit as I should have had anti d when I mc'd last November but the hospital were in such a rush to get rid of us they didn't think to check my blood type... an anti d injection then would have prevented this and risks associated with it.

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 18:30

@Bentley111 oh bless you ☹️ we put our trust in these care professionals as they're supposed to be the experts but the level of care isn't always what it should be!

Everything crossed you and bump will be healthy and happy x

TheOnlyMrsA · 14/06/2019 18:37

@Bentley111 well I'm assuming it's the hormones but I've just cried thinking you must be... poor girlie. Try and think as positively as possible because stress and anxiety aren't good for you or baby! (Coming from the girl who is permenantly stressed to death)!

DinoGreen · 14/06/2019 18:47

Sorry to hear quite a few people are having a rough time - between sickness, blood tests and insensitive midwives! I’ve got my booking in on Monday so hoping for a nice midwife. With my ds I had all my appointments with the same community midwife who came to my GP surgery one day a week. Now things have changed, I had to self refer to the hospital and my appointments will be at the clinic in town, so I expect I’ll end up seeing different ones, which is a shame as it was nice to always see the same one last time.

anitagreen · 14/06/2019 18:57

Has anyone got any tips on dealing with anxiety in pregnancy I can't go on like this I'm seeing a counsellor once a eeek but I don't even know what's triggering it I don't know if it's my hormones or what but I'm really struggling Sad

Jenbo19 · 14/06/2019 19:32

Have you had it before @anitagreen?
Could be hormones/worry... but if you feel really bad can you talk to you GP in a bit more depth? Some people do benefit from medicines. Or maybe just the reassurance that it’s ok not be be feeling ok all the time. I like the Calm app and going for a walk or a swim. Are u eating enough? X

McHelenz · 14/06/2019 19:38

@anitagreen I have GAD, I'm not medicated and have had CBT (which felt it was more PTSD like). Strangely getting pregnant im calmer than I was.

There are a couple of pregnancy mindfulness apps you could try? Maybe even look into some sort of like hypnobirthing things - like before you go to bed think, Today I am still pregnant, my baby is growing and is healthy, all is well.

I found writing a positive journal helped, mainly 3 good things I'd done that day.

Mirana · 14/06/2019 19:42

@bentley111 that's so infuriating. At least this time they seem more competent. They've picked it up early so you'll get all the right treatments. Stay away from Dr Google!!! I'm sure the Drs/midwives on your case now are equally annoyed the last people didn't do their job properly. It's such a coin toss, staff are either amazing or cant wait to shove you out the door!

anitagreen · 14/06/2019 20:11

@McHelenz I will try that because it's so depressing feeling so anxious I feel fine now I know my partner will be home soon etc but when it comes on it's so scary and hard to see past it x

megganonion · 14/06/2019 20:22

@mynameisMrG i had this problem my last pregnancy in that hospital, unfortunately its the the only hospital near me for 80 miles with a maternity unit, with ds3 i ended up trasferring at 25 weeks to a hospital 80 miles away and delivered him there aswel, they couldnt believe that i hadnt seen a haematologist by that point as my platelets wer down at 30 and there were abnormalities in white cells (shape and size) i already nlknow i will transfer this pregnancy aswel but was hoping to hold off til the 30 week mark as its a long 80 mile journey to travel for all appointments, i am consultant led and have had a previous iugr so i get scanned at every appointment after 28weeks normally fortnightly.

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 20:30

@anitagreen if it helps, there's normally one of us around at all times of the day, so use the thread as a sounding board when you need it as we are here x

You ladies have been a godsend for me through things and I'll always give what I can back also 👍🏻 x

anitagreen · 14/06/2019 20:41

@NoMoreFastCars82 Thank You for that I never ever struggled like this with my other two but tbh it did start before I got pregnant and I don't know why I have always had anxiety but it was never to this extreme I always coped fine, but in the last year it's sky rocketed and no one seems to be able to know why at all. It just scares me to think will I always be like this now x

NoMoreFastCars82 · 14/06/2019 20:46

@anitagreen it won't x
I know it's difficult to think positive and work out the underlying reasons but remember how many crazy hormones are currently surging through your body and how much they affect mood and feelings x this will get easier for you 🙂 the more you talk about it the more it'll settle i think x

TheOnlyMrsA · 14/06/2019 21:26

@anitagreen I suffer with terrible anxiety, I've always been 'highly strung' but after some very traumatic life events It kills me to get out of bed because I know the bed is safe 🤦🏻‍♀️.

Pregnancy seems to have helped - other than the pregnancy related anxieties and fears I haven't had as many daily battles with myself.

My main recommendation for dealing with anxious moments and attacks is 5 things focusing.

Close your eyes and breath deeply through your nose and focus on somthing you can smell and hone in on that smell.

Open your eyes and list things you see around you, solid things like buildings, a table, things that are fixed in your surrounds if it helps list them out loud

Try and pick out things you can here, even in a silent space like an empty house ... do you hear the birds outside or a car... maybe the neighbours chattering or the tv in the background... who's voice can you pick out.

Reach out your hands and touch things around you or even focus on the denim on your legs or a carpet between your feet. What different textures do you feel around you

Taste is a little trickier but maybe you taste your morning coffee or toothpaste still... or think of your favourite tastes and things you'd like to taste once you've calmed down.

It's somthing that has really helped me and I've managed to refine the technique over the last 2 years so I can do it relatively unnoticed in public settings now! I hope this helps! Xox

anitagreen · 14/06/2019 22:15

@NoMoreFastCars82 Thank You i hope it does pass I'm usually fine at dealing with it just today was horrendous but it's nice to think it could just be hormones setting it off and that it'll pass it's comforting x

And @TheOnlyMrsA that is really helpful I've never heard of that technique before my therapist taught me the worry time one before about postponing worry until a set time but I find that so hard to stick too my brain never ever feels focused. X

Ann334 · 14/06/2019 22:40

@TheOnlyMrsA what a lovely technique, will be trying this

Kinsters · 15/06/2019 02:08

bunanarama I'm based in KL at the moment but we're moving up to Penang in a few months which I'm really looking forward to.

Bentley that's just another stress that you don't need, how annoying. Hopefully they'll keep a close eye on you now.

I can't remember who mentioned about the sharp pains in hips but I'm having the same. I can't twist my hips at all without ending up in pain (so no curling up on chairs with my legs underneath me anymore!). I've also got lower back pain which comes on when I sit down. Going to see a physio today so I'll pass on any helpful tips I get!

Guanabanana! We have that here in Malaysia but call it soursop, it's quite nice - very refreshing.

Kinsters · 15/06/2019 05:45

No helpful tips for other suffering with back pain - turns out I have a curved spine and that combined with the pregnancy hormones is causing me pain. I guess it's good that I've found out now so I can work on not making it any worse.
