Splish we’re off for a private scan for father’s day! DD’s also made him a card and some potentially questionable biscuits Grin

Missmonkeypenny · 13/06/2019 18:00

Ps I bought this today and it’s a brilliant read! Tons of questions answered ( even the weird ones you have running round in your head! )

@plipliop I'm 42 👵🏻 proper old my eldest is 21 so huge age gap!!

Mumof4andahalf · 13/06/2019 18:05

@NoMoreFastCars82 have you tried anbesol? If you're in the UK! My partner swears by it

McHelenz · 13/06/2019 18:12

New thread, bloody hell! Can't keep up.

Not a good day today. Really tired and really sick.

Just checked my online notes and it's scary to see my pregnancy as high risk and it's my fault 😔. I've had a consultant allocated now though.

Jenbo19 · 13/06/2019 18:21

@mrscatmad31we have the same due date plus I’m also in the middle of buying a house!! Although I’m more dog than cat mad 😆😊

SleepingStandingUp · 13/06/2019 18:21

#inKFC

Just saying

Jenbo19 · 13/06/2019 18:26

Also, for all the age 35+ mums like me and @AstroKate
the obstetrician I spoke to today (about a private scan) said she had her first baby aged 36 and had 3 in total, the last at 40. And that she thinks 36 is a good age for a baby!!! ❤️

KatiePix · 13/06/2019 18:28

Hi ladies, I'm really struggling with bad morning sickness. Literally can't keep anything down mornings and evenings- only a brief 2 h slot in the middle of the day that I'm ok. I'm really struggling not to get down about it- am signed off work and feeling sick and exhausted all the time. Any advice?

NoMoreFastCars82 · 13/06/2019 18:39

@Mumof4andahalf is that over counter? I've just been and got co-codamol on the Midwife's recommendation. Sat in dentist bricking myself 😑

I've also got my house up for sale and want to move before baby born...

Must be a pregnancy thing... let's all move house 😂😂

NoMoreFastCars82 · 13/06/2019 18:40

@KatiePix what have you tried and I'll run through everything I did... x

MummyBearBoo · 13/06/2019 18:48

Oh god I’m off to slimming world tonight. Just weighed at home and I think I’ve put on 1/2 a stone in two weeks!!! This is going to be humiliating

@NoMoreFastCars82 I second anbesol, you can get it over the counter, I got it for my toddler teething and my DH uses it too when his wisdoms hurt.

Mumof4andahalf · 13/06/2019 19:10

@NoMoreFastCars82 yes it's over the counter, would need to check it's ok in pregnancy as I'm not sure.

KatiePix · 13/06/2019 19:11

@NoMoreFastCars82 thanks for your reply. I've tried eating bland food (crackers, salted crisps, plain toast), eating frequently, ice lollies.
I just can't seem to keep any food or liquid down and it's making me very miserable

MummyBearBoo · 13/06/2019 19:14

I've stopped counting calories since I got pregnant I did get to my goal weight just before anyway but then lost another 7lbs a few weeks ago coz of morning (we'll all day) sickness -pretty sure I'll have put it back on but not weighing myself now!! Xx

TheOnlyMrsA · 13/06/2019 19:19

Girls I'm RAGING, I'm just so angry.

I came offline for a few days because to be honest the stories of MMCs where filling me with so much dread and anxiety because I'd never gotten this far into a pregnancy before and i had these horrible feelings like that was going to be my next heartbreak. However I snapped myself out of it after a few days away from google and MN.

Had a nice chat with my MIL today, after telling her at 12 weeks that my first baby purchase would be nappies and wipes I want to start building up and keeping at my mums so it's not under my feet. It felt like a sensible thing and I expected her positive lovely chat to continue as she's so Fiscally minded etc I expected a that's a sensible idea, good thinking batman.... You know what I got 'don't bother buying a thing till 20 weeks ... it's not safe' bla bla bla. Basically implying I'm still a miscarriage risk.

I came home and cried for hours. I'm finally starting to feel positive about my outlook.

MoominMantra · 13/06/2019 19:23

@Jenbo19 - I'm over 35. I'm nearly 39! EDD is 8th Jan. Baby #4.

MoominMantra · 13/06/2019 19:24

@TheOnlyMrsA just ignore her. Easy for me to say I know but you need to block out negativity.

Bluebelltulip · 13/06/2019 19:28

@TheOnlyMrsA I would be annoyed too, that's not something you say to someone. If she knows your worried then that's even worse. Most people start getting stuff after 12 weeks so it's a very normal thing to do. By her logic you shouldn't buy anything until the baby is here and that just isn't practical.

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 13/06/2019 19:34

Checking in...EDD 17th January with baby #2.

I turn 29 this month, not sure where my 20s have gone! Least I’ll be able to have a few drinks for my 30th I suppose...

NoMoreFastCars82 · 13/06/2019 20:03

@Bluebelltulip @Mumof4andahalf thanks, I'll grab some tomorrow... just back from dentist and can't take it out but has shaved down the filling top so I don't hit it if I'm eating and got to go back once antibiotic treatment done x

Just had chicken super noodles as I can't manage anything I need to chew lol
Time for co-codamol and hopefully a good nights sleep 🙂

TheOnlyMrsA · 13/06/2019 20:04

@MoominMantra I feel better now it's off my chest so I don't walk back and hit her with a brick 🧱😂🤦🏻‍♀️

@Bluebelltulip EXACTLY I'm normal. Pregnancy has changed so much in the last 27 years... it's not a cloak and dagger keep it a secret till you can't hide it thing anymore xox

NoMoreFastCars82 · 13/06/2019 20:08

@KatiePix this is my list:

Ginger and lemon tea (twinnings) worked well

Morning sickness tea (Amazon) has peppermint and lemon and ginger and tastes ok and worked for a week.

Ginger biscuits: didn't do much but is a last resort to take edge off

Sickness bands (acupressure) worked but found them little tight at times.

Preggy pops - Amazon - lollipops, work really well but not always easy to have as take a while to finish.

Trying to think if I tried anything else and will let you know if my brain kicks back in lol x
