X post @anitagreen congrats to you too!

DaisyMay25 · 26/06/2019 12:23

@Bentley111 do you have a midwife to call? You might need your ketones testing if you can get in at the doctors? I'd give someone a ring and explain and say you're showing signs of dehydration

DaisyMay25 · 26/06/2019 12:23

@anitagreen congrats on the scan! I'm guessing girl!

mynameisMrG · 26/06/2019 12:36

Aw congratulations to everyone who has had scans today. Some lovely photos.

Hope you’re ok @MonicaGellerHyphenBing, so many ladies on here have had bleeding (myself included) and baby has been fine. Fingers crossed for you x

Congrats on all the scans guys! Jealous! STILL WAITING FOR MY APPOINTMENT @**!!#!!

Bentley - you poor thing! Have you tried ginger nuts?

anitagreen · 26/06/2019 12:38

@Bentley111 Thank You! Can you keep flat cola or lemonade down? That was only thing that worked with my sickness or bananas x

anitagreen · 26/06/2019 12:39

@DaisyMay25 thank you I'm really hoping this is a girl the heart beat was really fast at 163bpm and my DD was the same. My sons was lower at 140 and they said boy from that no idea how truthful it is x

Kinsters · 26/06/2019 12:48

Congrats on the scans everyone! Sorry you're feeling like shit again Bentley, definitely try and get some different meds and fluids.

Oo I didn't know that about heart beat Anita, mine was quick too so maybe I'll surprise everyone and it'll be a girl!

Bentley111 · 26/06/2019 14:17

Thanks everyone, I have left a message with my midwife, hopefully she'll call me back. I'd love to try & sleep it off but the house next door has the loudest builders in & it's impossible not to hear or judge their music.

Oh god @BowiesJumper not you too 😩😂 That's shit you're still waiting for your date - how far gone are you? I didn't get my letter through until 10+1 if that's any consolation?

BowiesJumper · 26/06/2019 14:24

I've just got low level nausea, NOTHING like you Bentley!

I'm 11 weeks today, but I asked at the scan reception last week and they do have my paperwork, but hadn't got to booking in scans for my lmp date and beyond yet... I'll probably get it any day now, just annoying not knowing! Plus I don't want to tell work until I've had my scan/test results, but I've got LOADS of holiday to take, as I'm saving it up to take before starting maternity, and they're nagging at me to book holiday in. I just want to say - I'M SAVING IT UP TO TAKE DECEMBER OFF, LEAVE ME ALONNNNE, but I can't yet!

anitagreen · 26/06/2019 15:32

@Kinsters I had a google and lots of stories to back it up but also one to say it's not medically proven haha so who knows. X

mrscatmad31 · 26/06/2019 15:39

Feeling so ill at the moment, first time I was absolutely fine so stupidly assumed it would be the same this time :-/

MummyBearBoo · 26/06/2019 16:26

So I had a 1/100 chance of Down Syndrome coz my last baby had this and a lower risk of Edwards and Pataus and the results came back clear for these - but the biggest hurdle is the results I get on Friday/Monday where I have a 50% chance of the baby being too ill to keep!! Found out it's a boy which is what I thought coz last time I was having a boy (who I had to lose) I was sick loads same as this time - whereas with my DD I wasn't sick at all! Xx

BowiesJumper · 26/06/2019 16:32

Everything crossed for you MummyBearBoo!

Cannyhandleit · 26/06/2019 16:34

@MummyBearBoo I thought you had cvs? Will you not get a definite result for the trisomies also or do you get that with your other results on fri? Fingers crossed it all goes well.

Cannyhandleit · 26/06/2019 16:35

@MummyBearBoo sorry I've just reread and realise I hadn't read it properly!

Mirana · 26/06/2019 16:44

@MummyBearBoo I'm really happy the prelim tests look positive, have everything crossed!!

@Bentley111 I went and saw my GP who said she couldnt do anything for me because I couldnt keep down tablets. She rang ahead to the EPU and booked me in over the phone, I showed up and they ushered me through to hyperemesis suite. I was at the point where even a sip of water and I'd throw up so I let it get pretty bad, I only realised after a couple of doses of anti-sickness injections how bad it was. I feel ropey again today but I'm trying to keep drug use to a minimum.

To all those asking (on mobile so cant go back to check names!!) B+ is a rarer blood group, but not unicorn level or anything. Only rarer groups are B- (2%) and the AB blood types. About 8% of the population are B+. Its also the blood group used most commonly to treat sickle cell diseases and similar. It's not a big deal, the consultant just said there would be some pre-planning, whatever that means 🤷‍♀️

MummyBearBoo · 26/06/2019 17:18

Thanks ladies/I think pre-planning usually means making sure they have enough of this blood type in stock in case it is needed -it's usually only small maternity wards that need to do this kind of pre-planning xx

SleepingStandingUp · 26/06/2019 17:20

Ooh I didn't know or was so uncommon. I'm b+ so assumed it was aa common as council pop!!

anitagreen · 26/06/2019 17:30

Hey they said at my scan my bloods and the scan was great and no worries etc no signs of nothing wrong at all, but on my letter it says risk of Down syndrome was 1:2528 and then on the back says less than 1:150 at full term Confused

Mumof4andahalf · 26/06/2019 17:57

@anitagreen give your midwife a call, does seem confusing but sure there's an explanation x

Cannyhandleit · 26/06/2019 18:28

@anitagreen that is odd, I'd give midwife a call. Such a big difference in the risk factor it must be a typo.

plipliop · 26/06/2019 18:58

All went well at scan!
Just want the results of my bloods back now.

Jan 2020 - Thread 4
MummyBearBoo · 26/06/2019 19:26

Don't they jut say less than 1:150 coz if the risk is higher than that they have to have special measures in place just in case! Xx

MummyBearBoo · 26/06/2019 19:30

Do you think you get feeling about if you're having a boy or girl coz I've guessed right so far on all of my 3 pregnancies! I knew this and the last were boys and I always referred to them as he before I knew and referred to DD as she before I knew xx
