We have names chosen apart from boys middle name. I said I'd let DH chose that but he can't decide and what he does like is awful, so I'm going to have to join the discussion and try to sway him.

Karigan195 · 18/06/2019 15:59

@Dyra. Oh dear Theo is our choice too. Theo Alexander

Don’t hang out on AIBU it’s not good for blood pressure. Some of the commenters are just nuts on there! 😂

TwittleBee · 18/06/2019 16:04

Feel like we should get a list going of things to help labour 😂 haha

I keep having to back out of aibu threads involving anyone with more than 2 dc destroying the planet ....

Moraxella · 18/06/2019 16:28

I’ve paid to sit a postgrad exam at 38 weeks; it’s never going to happen with a baby. He better stay where he is and I’ll cross my legs; it was more expensive than a pram by far 😨

Dyra · 18/06/2019 17:07

@Karigan195 Alexander is my second choice for name. 😂 But DH dislikes that even more than Theo, and I'm refusing to back down.

Middle names are already sorted. Both our families use the parent's first name and we're not breaking the tradition. So if a girl, Charlotte. If a boy, Timothy.

Megan2018 · 18/06/2019 17:19

Midwife called, have got the dreaded diabetes Sad waiting for referral to hospital team.
This is the final straw this week and its only Tuesday!

boodles101 · 18/06/2019 17:28

Oh no Megan how do you feel? Did you have any signs showing in your urine tests or anything?
I have my GTT on Friday and have a funny feeling I might fail too.

IVEgottheDECAF · 18/06/2019 17:29

Oh dear megan Flowers

28 week app done. Measuring above 95th percentile. Bloods done. Next app 31 weeks not 34 as says online!

kyles101 · 18/06/2019 17:30

@Dyra love Alice - would have made our list but my niece is Alice.

We have Eleanor for a girl or William for a boy. I don't think we'll change either, they've been fixed for months!!

Some of the things on AIBU are batshit, I'm so glad we have this little group going - I'd never go onto that board for advice, anyone wanting a bit of romance from a spouse is not an enlightened modern woman and basically if a partner does anything even mildly irritating you should leave them. After getting your ducks in a row.

Eek @Moraxella is a due date 2 weeks away extenuating enough to postpone without losing your fee?

Ah, @Megan2018 sorry to hear that. Hopefully once you've been referred everything will look less challenging. I was speaking with a lady the other day who had it, but it wasn't actually diagnosed until she was 37/38 weeks. I have my test on Thursday.

Megan2018 · 18/06/2019 18:01

@boodles101
I still feel fantastic! Had no symptoms at all, bloods and urine fine.
We have a huge type 2 history on my dads side and both cousins on that side had it in pregnancy so not a huge surprise.

ColdCottage · 18/06/2019 18:03

anyone else a bit crap at remembering their vitamins (I've missed at least 2 days despite alarms) I blame being on holiday

ColdCottage · 18/06/2019 18:04

✈️☀️✈️🌴

Also anyone going on holiday don't get caught out like I did and only find you need a fit to fly letter at the airport. Fortunately I could fly out so had time to get one before coming back.

boodles101 · 18/06/2019 18:13

Megan that's my worry, no signs here or family history but I'll just be surprised if I pass! Hopefully they can get your referral through quick and you can manage by diet.

kyles101 · 18/06/2019 18:16

@ColdCottage yep, me too, I was so good in the beginning and then the last month is a bit hit and miss - whoops!!

Hsunshine · 18/06/2019 18:17

I have resorted to taking someone to important appointments with me to ask everything I forget.

I hope we stick with our name because we keep using it.

Also praying baby stays in until at least 38 weeks

Fortheloveofscience · 18/06/2019 18:33

Sorry to hear that Megan. Glad you’re feeling ok though.

Coldcottage I’ve been rubbish at vitamins since about 14 weeks - basically gave up taking them, I eat a lot of veg so feel like it’ll be fine.

I need baby to stay in until as close to 40 weeks as I can manage, I’ve got a ton of work to do in August and then will have loads to sort round the house in Sept once mat leave starts. (Ps - remind me of this once it gets to 40 weeks and I don’t stop grumbling!)

Megan2018 · 18/06/2019 18:41

I’ve not missed a vitamin (polishes halo) but that’s because I also have to take aspirin and can’t forget that.

Moraxella · 18/06/2019 18:46

@coldcottage how did you sort it when you were abroad? Just been told by a major airline I don’t need a letter til 36 weeks 🥳 (not that I’ve been asked and I have flown three times in past few weeks)

TheCraicDealer · 18/06/2019 18:57

I think it depends on the airline, doesn't it? We were invited to a meeting in London next month and my boss really couldn't be arsed, so used my pregnancy and the flying aspect to get out of it and have a conference call instead. Always glad to be of cervix, me.

Now have a tender bottom rib on the side baby is lying. Think I keep bumping her or my uterus when I bend over. So when I drop things I now just look at DH like 😬 and wait expectantly for him to pick it up.

Off to B&Q to get them to colour match a pair of knickers for the nursery paint, wish me luck!

Dyra · 18/06/2019 19:01

I've always wanted an early October baby. Now I realise that that involves going 5+ days overdue and I will be more than happy with a September baby.

I'm another one who thinks they haven't got a chance of passing the GTT. I'm enjoying dessert eating now so I won't miss it as much later. So long as I can fall off the wagon for my birthday (week after GTT) that is.

kyles101 · 18/06/2019 19:01

I hope they're clean Grin

kyles101 · 18/06/2019 19:02

Sorry, that was @TheCraicDealer , am in no way implying you're not clean @Dyra

Am also loving a pudding a bit too much after dinner nowadays Grin

TheCraicDealer · 18/06/2019 19:04

I put them on a wash as soon as I got in from work- they're clean but they might not be dry yet Grin

IVEgottheDECAF · 18/06/2019 19:10

Omg i love pudding Blush anything with custard!
