Realised we need another thread as the other one reached 1000!

Glad to hear scans went well today.

Who else is waiting for their harmony results now? I am hoping to get them in the next few days! But I suspect Friday at the earliest and probably next week Monday! I had the bloods taken for it Thursday morning.

Morning all, I'm 19 weeks tomorrow and although I've felt the occasional little flutter I still haven't really felt anything that I could 100% hand on heart say is the baby, and certainly not on any sort of regular basis. Anyone else? This is my second and I'm getting a bit worried, I thought I'd be able to feel her by now.

Had midwife last week and heard heartbeat fine, also have 20w scan next week. But I'd just feel so much better if I could feel her!

Aneley · 22/07/2019 13:03

Hi, same here. 18w, can hear heartbeat daily as i have doppler but haven't felt anything I could say - this must be the baby moving. It is my first and I am overweight so I am hoping that is the reason why, though Im getting worried too.

Losd · 22/07/2019 15:47

Not been on for ages because of family issues but just had 20 week scan and baby is perfect. Very energetic and kept sucking thumb so took ages to get all the checks done. Also watched everyone else leave waiting room with lovely profile photos of their babies. Mine was staring straight at screen 😂 absolute little menace. Anyway to the ladies above who are worried about movement, I’m still only feeling very occasional pops and wriggles, that could be wind for all I know, but scan today showed no issues and baby is perfect and right size etc so don’t worry, I’m 20 weeks exactly today. Xxx

peasando · 22/07/2019 17:38

Congratulations on the scan @Losd, brilliant news! Can't wait for mine. Every one I've had so far the baby's been wriggling like mad, and when mw was listening to her heartbeat last week she gave a big kick, so I'm sure all is fine - I just want to feel her!!

bobble53 · 22/07/2019 19:23

I’m 21 weeks on Wednesday and my baby kicks all the time Blush my 20 week scan said I had an anterior placenta so I thought that would mean I couldn’t feel him?! But he beats me up all day and I can even see my belly move when he kicks! (When I’m laid down) x

Nervousdave · 23/07/2019 23:06

I'm 20 weeks on thursday, and got my scan on monday. Cant wait! We havent had any private scans so this will be the first time seeing it in a couple of months, and will hopefully find out boy or girl 😊 I've been feeling occasional "flips" (cant think of a better description lol) for the last week and a half, but also have an anterior placenta so was worried I wouldn't feel anything for ages! I think they normally say 18-25 weeks for first time feeling movements x

Funnybunnyfluff · 23/07/2019 23:30

@Nervousdave
My 20 weeks scan is also Monday I will be 19+4

I was just about to post to say I'm 18+5 today and I had a bath and saw and felt the baby like a kick maybe, called my husband made him stare at my belly and he saw it also... I'm not going crazy and imagining it am I?

First time I feel like yes that the baby...

RLI1105 · 24/07/2019 09:51

Hi everyone, my 20 week scan is not for a couple of weeks but I've just been for my whooping cough vaccination. It was pretty painless although the aching afterwards can be the worst!
Has anyone else had there's or are you waiting til later on?

KatieMurr · 24/07/2019 10:56

A week until my 20 week scan, I am so excited, I just wish it was today. I think I have been feeling the baby "fluttering" for about 4 weeks now. Usually when I am lying in bed last thing at night or first thing in the morning.

Although recently maybe the last week I have told my husband it feels like a heartbeat but in my stomach which I wasn't expecting.

@RLI1105 I need to book my whooping cough vaccine so I will hopefully be getting it done in the next few weeks.

peasando · 24/07/2019 11:19

@RLI1105 I had my whooping cough injection yesterday morning, my arm is still aching! It's horrible.

@Funnybunnyfluff that's so great about the kicking 😃 Still waiting here although there's a bit more of a bubbly feeling going on this morning...

NapsAndTea · 27/07/2019 11:15

Had such a baby anxiety dream last night!! Anyone else still having crazy dreams?!

Mamabear12 · 27/07/2019 13:08

I get some strange dreams and still crap sleep. At least I’m on holiday now enjoy sunshine by the water. 20 week scan when I return.

Is anybody else swollen? I'm on holiday in Spain and have swollen ankles and hands!

Comps83 · 27/07/2019 18:02

Can deffo feel something now. Really hope it’s not just a twitch . I can see it as well as feel it . Every time dh goes to feel it it of course stops

peasando · 27/07/2019 19:35

Same, just last night and today I've definitely felt some actual proper movement. DH doesn't believe me though because he hasn't been able to feel it 😂

Jowd92 · 27/07/2019 20:37

I'm also feeling movement but its ever so light I did think I would be feeling more and a little harder by now I'm 18 weeks but this is my 4th pregnancy is everyone's movement still really low down too??

anon812 · 27/07/2019 21:19

I'm 18 weeks and have had a lot of movement from 17 weeks, his dad can feel him kick, is this normal?! Honestly he is so active and moving all the time the past few days, I might have a hyperactive baby?

peasando · 27/07/2019 22:01

@Jowd92 I'll be 20 weeks on Tuesday and it's only today and last night I've really started feeling her, I've been feeling a bit of fluttering for a while but nothing I could definitely say was her until now. So don't worry!

jpaws · 28/07/2019 08:45

I had my 20w scan on Friday, at 20+2, and everything looked good apparently :D The last few days I've also felt baby move more - yesterday being a particular active day as I was on 4 trains and I think the rocking woke baby up haha. Feel more excited now but also seem to feel a bit nervous too.

Jowd92 · 28/07/2019 09:03

I was getting really worried my bump seems so small this time also I was bigger at 18 weeks with my son midwife thought I would carry bigger having them so close together maybe I'm different Haha

Funnybunnyfluff · 28/07/2019 11:15

@jpaws

I keep getting that nervous feeling, is this ur first also?

I feel like one min I forget about it and then it hits me and then I think eek is this really happening. Emotions are very mixed for me.

My DH told me dad how broody he is and I said I think his way more broody and excited than me but I think that's because he doesn't have to have the baby.

jpaws · 28/07/2019 12:46

Yeah, this is my first. I think the nerves are coming out now because i'm beginning to feel the baby and it's hit me how real it all is, even after having three scans! My DP is more reserved than I am about the baby as well which makes me think i'm more anxious than he is.

I'm also thinking (trying not to) about the actual labour part - my friends just had her first and it wasn't straight forward. I may feel a bit better once ante natal classes start but that's also something I have no idea about - when are you supposed to go to them?? haha

Funnybunnyfluff · 28/07/2019 14:58

@jpaws

Oh my friends baby is due in less than 2 weeks and it's her first and I'm scared o what she will tell me.

I have booked all my NCT classes already. If u go online to NCT In Your area now. U have to put in ur due date and it will give u the options for ones u should attend, relevant to ur due date. Mine are in October. We booked now to get the dates we wanted due to DH work and mine as some are evening some are weekends and the ladies only session is a Wednesday morning so having to swop dates for work.

Even if you don't book now have a look if that's the route you are going down. Friend has just done them said they were very good made new mummy friends and she said she's much more ready now. Cost us £180 for 6 sessions. Xx

jpaws · 28/07/2019 20:01

@funnybunnyfluff thanks for the heads up. I've enquired about my local course and it looks like mine would be in October too. Not long really lol.

Funnybunnyfluff · 28/07/2019 20:29

@jpaws

Your welcome, I keep thinking that each week is flying by. I get more and more scared 🙈.
