Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

Constant nausea still present and correct. So woefully underprepared for it!

Just been for leaving drinks for a colleague at the pub and got my dd some fish fingers. Had to nick one - best thing ive eaten in my life so stopped at tesco and thats what ill be eating for tea! Maybe even the whole bag!!

Tmi but anybody else a bit backed up - sure its not helping with the nausea.. and the dreaded bloat!

SleepingStandingUp · 16/05/2019 18:53

I'm feeding baby KFC gravy and wrap because baby wants it 😂😂😂😂😂
Is it too early to pull this??

Anon120 · 16/05/2019 19:40

Thanks girls for all your supportive messages -really do appreciate it and I guess you're the only ones who truly can understand sometimes!

All the cravings posts are making me giggle 😂 x

Joining the thread! Just got my BFP today! EDD 18th January. You lot must be a chatty bunch if you’re already on thread 2!

I’m 32, this is #2, I have a DS who is 3. He’ll be almost 4 by the time this one comes which feels like a big gap but I wasn’t ready to have another for ages! DS took 18 months of TTC but this one thankfully only took 4 cycles!

Congrats to everyone else on the thread!

plipliop · 16/05/2019 20:41

@DinoGreen my youngest will be 10 when baby is born!

Crazy

MrsH497 · 16/05/2019 21:09

Baby gets dinner at Cinderella's castle today!! We celebrate being married for 6 months today as well. Hope everyone is doing ok x

TryingVeryHard2015 · 16/05/2019 21:35

Good evening ladies. Can I take a tentative step on board this January bus?

I only got my bfp today so VERY early days and worried I'm jinxing things.

Edd Jan 24th with baby #2 (still can't quite believe it).

mynameisMrG · 16/05/2019 21:41

I’ve just eaten about 3000kcal. New leaf tomorrow!!

Had a nap but it wasnt much use as hayfever is driving me INSANE. Can't take my antihistamines and it's a struggle. Seeing GP tomorrow who will probably think my face has been attacked by bees.

plipliop · 16/05/2019 22:03

Oh dear! That doesn't sound nice.

DinoGreen · 16/05/2019 22:23

Wow plipliop I guess I shouldn’t worry about a 4 year gap then! It just already feels like the newborn and baby stage was so long ago, I can’t remember any of it very well!

My DH is ridiculously excited which is nice. Whereas I am 70% excited, 30% oh shit!

SleepingStandingUp · 16/05/2019 22:45

Dino I think there's a few of us with 3 Yr old so ithink that 4 year gap might be quite popular haha

Can't take my antihistamines and it's a struggle gah Google said I could, mine is really bad and was going to take one tonight

DaisyMay25 · 16/05/2019 23:26

Me and DH went to browse mothercare today, I know it's super early but I just wanted to feel better. Whilst there I almost passed out, the nausea has been so much worst today, I'm sure I'm actually going to be sick pretty soon. The lightheadedness is a struggle at work, gonna see the doctor tomorrow and see if she can prescribe something for the nausea and maybe do an iron test.

Also I'm on the team salt and vinegar crisps, I think I could eat them until my lips were burning!

Mirana · 17/05/2019 00:12

@SleepStandingUp the official advice is to consult GP beforehand, could probably discuss in a phone appointment honestly! I have a prescribed one which is too strong, my GP will prescribe me something else tomo (probably a nasal spray as they allow the least amount of the drugs into your system). She said the nasal sprays have little to no effect on baby. Your GP will know best for sure! If not I'll be starting a bee-sting-face club you're welcome to join Grin At least summer will end before third trimester for everyone suffering!

MoominMantra · 17/05/2019 02:47

I'm 38. The last time I was pregnant was 11 years ago! Baby's due date is 9th Jan.

This pregnancy has felt different to any of my others.

MoominMantra · 17/05/2019 03:02

I'm trying to be all nice & relaxed but I've been off work sick with a bad back (caused by work) during that time I got BFP. I'm so, so bloated my boobs are massive that I can't fit into my work trousers even if I can go back and I work in a very looks oriented environment where people are always commenting on how you look. Argh 🙈

My Gp thinks I should be signed off work for notice period as I have handed in notice and have secured a new job which won't hurt my back. I don't know whether to go back or not for 2 weeks 😐 my back still hurts but I'm bored.

Not many people know I'm pg yet. My 15 year old dd does and she's sooooo excited but I told her not to get hopes up as it's such early days.

TryingVeryHard2015 · 17/05/2019 06:19

@DaisyMay25 - I was team salt and vinegar crisps in my last pregnancy. They had to be a real sharp vinegar though. Mccoys were my choice. I wonder what I'll get this time...

I know my husband is the father of my son and mystery bean, and I love him dearly but if he doesn't stop snoring he will be punched in the face. My little boy is at grandparents and I was hoping for a night of uninterrupted sleep. Sadly not.

Bentley111 · 17/05/2019 06:28

This morning was the first morning I woke up and ran dramatically to the loo, like they do in films 🤢 I cannot believe something the size of a smarter can make me so ill!

I'm not even 6 weeks yet 😩

Thinking of calling in sick today because there's absolutely no way on earth I can get through a whole day but I don't want to raise suspicion this early.

Avocuddles · 17/05/2019 06:36

@MoominMantra if I was you I would listen the GP and take the time off sock so that you can start the new job feeling (hopefully) fresh and less stressed than you would be if you forced yourself through the next couple of weeks in current role. It's time to put yourself first!

Avocuddles · 17/05/2019 06:37

@MoominMantra I mean off sick not off sock obviously!!!! Wink

plipliop · 17/05/2019 06:58

I'm so tired 😑

DinoGreen · 17/05/2019 07:14

Sympathies to those suffering from morning sickness. I didn’t get any whatsoever with my DS and hoping I’ll be so lucky again this time round - I’m only 5 weeks though so there’s plenty of time for it to rear its head. The only symptom I’ve had so far is sore boobs, and I get that every month before my period anyway, so I didn’t think anything of it.

TryingVeryHard2015 · 17/05/2019 07:23

I got morning sickness last time. I figure I have about 2-3 weeks to eat what I want before it hits again. Fingers crossed it doesn't.

@Bentley111 - ringing in sick once won't raise any suspicions yet. Going in might if you need to run to the loo.

Gorillaandme · 17/05/2019 07:38

Anyone have morning sickness in first pregnancy and not second? My health visitor said every pregnancy is different but I'm sure I'll get it again. With my daughter I had it from 7 weeks until 25 weeks.

Also did anyone get horrific leg cramps? That's my biggest fear of all the unwanted symptoms.

Cannyhandleit · 17/05/2019 08:09

@Gorillaandme I got terrible leg cramps through the night with both my previous pregnancies and horrific heartburn! I was never actually sick with either of them just constant nausea and heartburn.
So far with this one just slight nausea, tiredness and very thirsty but only 5+4w so I guess there is still time for the bad symptoms to creep in!!
