Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

I feel so tired but every night so i go to bed by 10pm....then I wake up around 3am and cant sleep any more....feeling soooo tired this morning.....

Cindy61 · 28/05/2019 07:45

@Sunshine3105 I'm the same. Fall asleep at 9.30pm and wake up at 3am then struggle to go back to sleep. Sometimes I think about work (which is actually not very stressful) and sometime about this pregnancy (my first) Confused we are supposed to have plenty of rest!!

Sunshine3105 · 28/05/2019 07:50

@Cindy61 yes same as me....sooo many questions....plus we are going back home for holiday (planning to tell our parents face to face all the liers i have to come up when we chat....hiding from friends when Im just dying to shout we are finally going to be a family

Cindy61 · 28/05/2019 07:58

@Sunshine3105 I told my parents as soon as I got BFP. I was far too excited...Grin
But I'm hiding it with people at work. I'm in charge of a small team. I don't want them to feel anxious or uncertain about work situation. Maybe after 12 weeks mark. Just don't feel ready. Blush

KMic · 28/05/2019 09:26

I've actually told quite a few people - but mainly because of what happened last time and I knew I would be feeling a bit anxious and want the support .. my parents found out as soon as we got the BFP ... and have told the team I work with and a couple of close friends ... for me, I would want the support of those people if something bad happened so I had no issues telling them, but it is different for everyone! :) x

Sunshine3105 · 28/05/2019 09:48

We told couple of very close friends and my sister.......we are waiting to tell a patents next week as we flying home for holiday anyway....rather do it face to face as phonecall....

DaisyMay25 · 28/05/2019 10:50

I've told all of DHs family, my sisters and a few of his friends. Plus my manager, assistant manager and a friend at work. I had time off for my IVF so kinda hard to keep it from management plus I've been signed off work for another two weeks so I'm glad I told them. Telling my parents after my scan on Thursday (which I'm not looking forward to) luckily they both live abroad so can just message them. I hate giving news like this face to face, makes me so uncomfortable!

McHelenz · 28/05/2019 10:54

We are planning on telling parents in 2 weeks.

Just been prescribed some cyclizine. I hope it helps 😔😔

Notrobusta · 28/05/2019 12:19

EDD 6 th jan with baby number 4 !

anitagreen · 28/05/2019 12:47

I'm so tired I'm nearly 8 weeks now and shattered really excited to be pregnant though but just wish I could know each day the baby is okay, I read today that once you pass 8 weeks the risk of miscarriage drops to 1.6%

anitagreen · 28/05/2019 12:48

@Notrobusta I'm the 8th I'm quite excited the fact that if I go 2 weeks earlier I could end up with a Christmas baby 👶🏽!

MrsPandigital · 28/05/2019 12:57

@anitagreen I am so tired. I've never been one to nap, but I have just had a nap (lucky it's half term) ... Does anyone know when the exhaustion stops? I'm 7 weeks along 😊

TheOnlyMrsA · 28/05/2019 13:09

@anitagreen I've read this too, im just wishing my life away to get passed that 8 week mark - 2 weeks & 3 days to go.

I have a scan in around 9 days (I lost a little flump over Easter and got pregnant immediately - I know I'm very lucky. So they're taking extra care of me this time just in my early stages) so then I'll only have a week to get to 8 weeks with no scan.

I'm considering booking a private scan for 9/10 weeks then I'm reassured whilst waiting for my 12 week scan! Xox

TheOnlyMrsA · 28/05/2019 13:10

@MrsPandigital

I have no idea but when you find out let me know I just want to sleep all the time and I work full time! I had a 4 hour nap yesterday! Xox

anitagreen · 28/05/2019 13:24

@MrsPandigital I don't think it does now lol I remember being 20-+ weeks and having daily naps Grin

anitagreen · 28/05/2019 13:26

@TheOnlyMrsA ah sorry you went through that I'm glad your being looked after this time round, it's gone quick being 8 weeks it is a nice stage but still feels ages from 12 weeks, I've only just realised I need to sort out my booking in Appt I think we self refer down here x

Glittergirl2 · 28/05/2019 14:00

@mynameisMrG I'm 8+4 and exhaustion has really up'd it's game these past few days... I'm already dreaming about getting back in bed 🙈 x

Glittergirl2 · 28/05/2019 14:02

Sorry @mynameisMrG I didn't mean to tag you in that last post I'd tagged @MrsPandigital but it changed just as I posted 🙈 x

DinoGreen · 28/05/2019 14:03

I’ve just booked a private scan for just under a month away, when I’ll be 10 weeks. We want to tell our families after that, and just before the family wedding we’re all going to when it will be blatantly obvious to all that I’m not drinking!

@anitagreen I had to self refer in my area too.

mitzi2019 · 28/05/2019 14:04

Hi all just thought I'd give an update on my second scan today (8 weeks) following pretty much three weeks of spotting. All looked pretty good and we saw a nice heartbeat which was amazing BUT then the doctor was like oh look - there's another sac. But it's empty. He thinks it's either vanishing twin or possibly a cyst - the consultant thought vanishing twin would be a probable cause for the bleeding. I was feeling fine about this all and quite glad to have a probable cause for the bleeding but now I've come home and fallen down a rabbit hole of google and am reading about heightened risk of congenital problems for the remaining twin. Argh. Sometimes I wish google didn't exist! Hope everyone else is doing well and good luck for any other upcoming early scans xxx

TheOnlyMrsA · 28/05/2019 14:17

@anitagreen it's self refer where I am. I have a hello meeting with my midwife this week even though I met her a few weeks ago (last time around!) then she'll book me an official booking in for 8 weeks, where I'll be booked in for my 12 week scan.

You can't get your 12 week scan where I am without a booking in appt! Xox

anitagreen · 28/05/2019 14:33

@TheOnlyMrsA Are you in London too? And that's the same as us everyone has to have the booking in appt with my son they was so busy I didn't end up having my 12 week scan till I was nearly 14 weeks Shock

mynameisMrG · 28/05/2019 14:36

Blimey @mitzi2019 how do you feel about that? Did they give you any idea of what that means?

MrsM18 · 28/05/2019 14:42

@anitagreen that's awful 😨 were they still able to do the NT?

Mine was self refer this time round, within 3 days I had an email listing an appointment for bloods, booking in appointment & my 12 week scan! Was really impressed!

Anon120 · 28/05/2019 14:56

@MrsM18 @anitagreen after over 2 weeks of waiting after an apparent referral from my nurse I've attempted to self- refer to my nearest hospital as I saw on their website the option was available. Feeling quite stressed as have heard absolutely nothing and feel a bit left in the dark 😔 hopefully all our 12 week scans come round quickly! X
