Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

Lovely pic @plipliop - I've always 'shown' early but it's usually water retention but it makes me look much further along than I am but the belly is quite soft not as hard as when it's filled out with the baby!
I'm quite lucky in that before I fell pregnant I was concentrating on weight loss I am a healthy weight now anyway but I wanted to be bang in the middle of BMI healthy range so I just needed to lose another 3 lbs (I've lost just short of 2st I was in the overweight range at the beginning) so all my jeans that were way to big now are really comfy and cover up my water retention bump!
I was back into my pre 1st and 2nd pregnancy clothes - not any more! I'm 6+5! Xx

SleepingStandingUp · 25/05/2019 23:54

11 hours and counting til scan.

@MoominMantra assuming he doesn't have additional needs, totally NOT normal. Doesdp speak to his ex at all? Can't believe a grown man expects his father to walk out and abandon a newborn baby for him!

KMic · 26/05/2019 00:07

Little bit concerned my end this evening ... fell asleep an hour ago and woke up to some crampy type feelings just now ... have been to the toilet hoping it was just poo pains, and whilst that does seem to have gotten rid of the pain I couldn’t help but notice a very slight pinky discharge when I wiped. I’m not going to lie and say it hasn’t freaked me out a bit ... esp as they think I lost at around 7-8 weeks last time with the MMC and i’m 7 weeks as of tomorrow (Sunday) .... has anyone had any cramps or spotting at 7 weeks?! ... i’m In at the EPU first thing Monday anyway, but tempted to ring when I wake up in the morning to see about going in then instead ... will see how the night goes! Really quite concerned that I'm in the process of miscarriage...

Seahawk80 · 26/05/2019 00:44

@kmic I'm 7+3 and still having a fair few cramps. Had a scan at EPU on thurs and all fine. I did have spotting until Monday / Tuesday but it's stopped now. With my EPU it's not open at weekends for walk ins but if you go to A&E they will refer you. Hope all is ok x

KMic · 26/05/2019 06:49

Thanks @Seahawk80 ... good to know!! Been fine overnight so fingers crossed all is ok. I'm booked in at the EPU in the morning so I think I will just wait and see then xx

AstroKate · 26/05/2019 09:19

Good luck to those having scans today!

I'd like to mention my random pregnancy symptom. Not had much else but-weird dreams!!! I don't usually dream much but this week I have dreamt:

-Kit Harrington invited me to live on his private island. But it turned out to be off the coast of UK and he lived like Bear Grylls with no basic facilities. I was told the only way off was to swim the North Sea...

-I was watching EastEnders and noticed they'd replaced Phil Mitchell's head with a boiled egg with goggly eyes. No one believed me so I retrained as an actor, got a part in the soap and when it was airing live, I jumped on his head and devoured the egg with a spoon

-I was in our study and the dog walked in wearing my glasses. Took them off with his paw and told me he was considering running for Tory Leader as he wanted to be the next PM. Asked if I'd sign up to their party and vote for him. We had a long discussion about politics as he chewed the ends of my glasses thoughtfully. Then told me he's changed his mind as he'd rather go play with his old rope and left

-Possibly the scariest of them all. I went to make dinner and was doing cauliflower cheese. Asked DH wear the cheese was and he didn't understand what I was saying. Cheese didn't exist and had never been invented. I decided to buy a cow and make some myself but couldn't work out how to milk it

The above is merely a snapshot. Seriously, every night I'm having the weirdest dreams ever!

Is it just me??

Bentley111 · 26/05/2019 09:31

Thanks @SuperStingray this morning I've woken up feeling sick as a dog. Never felt so relieved to need to rush to the loo 🙈

plipliop · 26/05/2019 09:34

@AstroKate that is pretty weird 👍

Cindy61 · 26/05/2019 10:40

@AstroKate not as interesting as yours but... one day I dreamed I stabbed DH with chopsticks. The other day it was that I threw three different kinds of pastries at him.
Actually he's been really great since we found out the pregnancy (I decided I had to wake him up at 4am to show him the stick I peed on). I feel both funny and bad to tell him my dreams in the mornings. Grin

SleepingStandingUp · 26/05/2019 12:11

So baby is 6+5, bang on my calculation. One little baby and egg sac in the right place, one pesky 2 cm cyst on my left ovary causing me pain

plipliop · 26/05/2019 12:12

We are going to our friend's house this afternoon. Not quite sure how I'm going to mask my grey nauseous face 🤢

mynameisMrG · 26/05/2019 12:25

Lovely news @SleepingStandingUp, shame about the cyst. Hopefully it doesn’t give you too much pain

It's lovely to see people's scans! I'm having an early one on Tues (@9weeks) before telling parents at the weekend.
