Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

Thank you all ladies, MN is such a gem for questions like this Blush

MummyBearBoo · 25/05/2019 11:17

My tummy is bad too can't go for about 3 days then when I do manage to go it's not very solid!! (Soz TMI) bad cramps woke me up at 3.30am yesterday morning! Xx

plipliop · 25/05/2019 12:02

I've got a scan booked for later (7+4).

We are considering telling our boys (11 and 9) later too as they have been asking what's wrong with me. Don't want them to worry especially as nausea seems to be getting worse.

I guess I can tell them that it's very early and doesn't always work out.

Thing is, if I lost it now, we'd be upset and I think they would notice.

Not sure what is best to do.

LadyChancer · 25/05/2019 12:02

@leclarke91 I bled through most of my first pregnancy. Before 12 weeks there’s not much they can do anyway sadly. The cause of bleeding was never discovered with me but it was suspected I had erosion of the cervix/heavy pressure on the cervix/an ectropian, none of which affected the pregnancy, thank goodness. I bled every 2-4 weeks, red and brown blood. After 20 weeks I had to go to the hospital each time (I skipped a couple and was told off harshly! I just hated the feeling of wasting their time).

Keep an eye but there’s not much you can do right now except wear a pad and keep your fingers crossed. X x

LadyChancer · 25/05/2019 12:07

@moominmantra Oh it’s miserable, isn’t it? I’m not as bad as yesterday fortunately.

I was just sat with friends chatting outside and there was an ashtray next to us. I had to keep pausing when I spoke to keep me from gagging from the smell. Grim.

Teaonthebedsheets · 25/05/2019 13:21

Just catching up, checked in early on but we've been on hols. So sorry to those who have suffered losses; I hope you are all OK.

I'm 6 weeks now and not yet experienced nausea, but I'm getting achey limbs and bloating. My husband reckons I'm already showing Hmm I don't think it's possible this early is it? (Second pregnancy so am expecting to show a but earlier than last time). From memory my morning sickness started at 7 weeks last time. Not looking forward to it at all.

@Teaonthebedsheets I think you can as the uterus grows bigger than what the baby is I think mines the size of a lemon at the moment and the baby a raspberry but I'm showing already this is my third and I'm 7w3d x

Cannyhandleit · 25/05/2019 14:56

I'm only 6+5 with number3 and I already feel massive! I know with number 2 I was wearing maternity jeans by 12w and I think I will give in earlier this time as I already grudge leaving the house because I have to change out my pj bottoms.

SuperStingray · 25/05/2019 15:54

I haven't posted much so far as I've been away since getting my positive test. Think I'm 6-7 weeks now.

I'd forgotten quite how weird it is being ravenously hungry and nauseous at the same time. I just want to nibble at stuff all the time but lots of things turn my stomach. Has any one found any good sickness nibbles? So far I just seem to be eating bread sticks and digestives, but I'm getting really bored of them. I am also having a craving for really sharp grapefruit juice!

MoominMantra · 25/05/2019 16:08

Haha I'm eating breadsticks and digestives here too. The smell of strong foods I can't cope with 🤢

MoominMantra · 25/05/2019 16:09

I've always found that light, salty crisps help me with a sip of coke.

DinoGreen · 25/05/2019 16:12

Sympathies to those suffering from morning sickness. Still none for me but I’m only 6 weeks today so it could still happen.

I’m absolutely exhausted today though. DS (age 3) has been particularly demanding - won’t play on his own - and DH just keeps moaning about how he’s tired too - I’ve had to make him take over now so I can have a little lie down.

tequilamockingbiird · 25/05/2019 16:45

Hi can I join, I got my BFP this morning. I think I’m due on the 31st!

MoominMantra · 25/05/2019 17:08

Congrats to those who've joined 💛

My dp is on holiday with his son and apparently that's not going so well because his son has been starting an argument every single day with him about the baby he doesn't want us to have. I did tell dp not to tell anyone until I've at least had a scan as anything could happen. His son is saying that if he doesn't ignore me and the baby he won't speak to him any more after the baby is born. Is this usual for a 22 year old? Sorry to bring the thread down but it is stressful.

plipliop · 25/05/2019 17:14

Scan pic!

Saw the heartbeat 💗
Still haven't decided whether to tell the boys or not...

@MoominMantra that does not seem like a normal reaction to me 😕

MoominMantra · 25/05/2019 17:22

Oh yay @plipliop -congratulations 💕

tequilamockingbiird · 25/05/2019 17:38

@MoominMantra that doesn’t seem like a normal reaction at all, what has your DH said about it?

@plipliop Gorgeous pic!

poposaurus · 25/05/2019 17:39

Congratulations @plipliop - that is amazing!!

MoominMantra · 25/05/2019 17:42

My dp is very upset - he feels torn between us both. I don't know what I can do. The problem is that he has issues with his dad which go back to before he even met me. There isn't anything I can do except hope he comes round since he'll be this baby's half brother.

Bentley111 · 25/05/2019 17:50

Wonderful pic @plipliop

Definitely not a normal reaction @MoominMantra - I expected to read your DSS was a young boy not an adult!

Congrats to the newbies.

Definitely not feeling as sick today, have been able to eat a picnic lunch and am ok. I am quite worried now as the sickness has gone from literally not being able to get out of bed to happily spending a day at the beach in the sun. Not got a good feeling about this. I may book a private scan for next week :(

mynameisMrG · 25/05/2019 18:07

Lovely scan photo @plipliop :)

Blimey @MoominMantra, definitely not normal! Especially from a 22 year old.

McHelenz · 25/05/2019 19:42

Well we've had a really stressful week - our cat went missing which I convinced myself was because of the baby. He came back today a week later covered in ticks :( And he might lose his leg :(. Today has been horrible and I now have a migraine.

mynameisMrG · 25/05/2019 19:47

Oh @McHelenz how awful! Where has he been to get like that?

OP posts:
SuperStingray · 25/05/2019 20:00

Try not to panic @Bentley111 - with my first pregnancy (now a healthy 2 year old) my symptoms came and went massively. I kept convincing myself something had gone wrong when the symptoms went but then they'd come back with a vengeance. I think our bodies can sometimes adapt to the hormones for a bit, and then we maybe get a hormone rush or something and we feel rubbish again.

I am determined to be more zen this time but we'll see!
