Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

@SleepingStandingUp wishing you lots of luck that it's not an ectopic

mynameisMrG · 24/05/2019 20:41

@leclarke91 no they could see the bleed but couldn’t say why it was happening. I am still bleeding but it’s a lot less that it was on Monday and Tuesday which was quite frightening to be honest.
It might be worth ringing to ask if they checked for infection? I know when I was pregnant last time and had bleeding they took bloods and tested for infection. My consultant said on Wednesday right now all they care about is my health which I can sort of understand. Might worth calling though to put your mind at rest?

Midnight at best before I see a doctor. Utterly shit that epu won't see me

anitagreen · 24/05/2019 21:04

Good luck @SleepingStandingUp I hope you are okay weird your Epu doesn't see anyone before 20 weeks I thought the whole point of EPU was to look after you in early pregnancy ours does from basically soon as you get a positive test x

SleepingStandingUp · 24/05/2019 21:10

I know, I'm sure it did 4 years ago with DS. I have two local hospitals. One doesn't even open out of hours (where I was planning on delivering) but is 20+ and other IS open but is 20+

SleepingStandingUp · 24/05/2019 21:11

Been told I won't get a scan until next week as thry don't do out of hours but need to wait around to see doc. Have come up to UCC as wait is less and nurse reckons outcome is the same

anitagreen · 24/05/2019 21:35

That's pants bloody hell I thought ectopic is classed as emergency so needs to be checked ASAP? X

SleepingStandingUp · 24/05/2019 21:39

I assume its becasue I'm not bleeding and don't have shoulder pain.

leclarke91 · 24/05/2019 22:17

@mynameisMrG I'm pleased to hear you're not bleeding as much now. It really is frightening! Is your bleeding now just brown like mine? I think you're right, if the brown discharge doesn't subside, I'll give them a call after the weekend and enquire about checking for infection. Is this your first too?

SleepingStandingUp · 24/05/2019 22:23

Heading home. Basically said she doesn't think it is ectopic but if anything changes to come straight to a&e. Feeling a lot more calm. Role on scan on Sunday

mynameisMrG · 24/05/2019 22:24

No it’s still red @leclarke91 though looking at the flow I think it will stop tomorrow. This is my fourth pregnancy and fingers crossed second baby 😊

I appear to have entered the irritable stage of pregnancy. Tonight I have told DH off for eating loudly, breathing loudly and blinking too much 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s good news @SleepingStandingUp

I appear to be in the paranoid part of pregnancy. I expect it to end mid January 2020 lol

mynameisMrG · 24/05/2019 22:29

I’m with you on that one @SleepingStandingUp! Then after January it’s the paranoid parent phase!

leclarke91 · 24/05/2019 22:42

@mynameisMrG I'm glad to hear that it seems to be tapering off. Fingers crossed it'll disappear tomorrow!
And that's hilarious 😂 it's crazy how much pregnancy affects moods. I find myself crying at the most odd things!

Bentley111 · 25/05/2019 06:33

Glad they think it's not ectopic @SleepingStandingUp

Really paranoid that I'm miscarrying... my nausea is much better but not sure if that's the tablets finally starting to kick in, and way way tmi but last night I had the worst diarrhoea I thought possible.

Slight cramping this morning too 😢😢

Camomila · 25/05/2019 07:26

@SleepingStandingUp that's good they sent you home, hopefully the pain is just stretching.

I had a suspected ectopic with DS and they seemed a lot more 'emergency!' about it. Got told to go to A&E, and then got put in a ward over night and had a scan the next morning even though it was a weekend. So I guess your drs aren't as worried which is great. In my case I was bleeding and had one sided pain but no shoulder pain. DS is 3 now and it was 'just one of those things'.

SleepingStandingUp · 25/05/2019 07:38

Yes the nurse seemed that kind of urgent calm which I think freaked me out, been around too many in calm efficient urgent mode with DS but doc was thorough but unconcerned so that's good. Like you said, if they'd had been worried they'd have found someone to scan me and kept me in. 28 hours til my private scan!!

mynameisMrG · 25/05/2019 08:34

@Bentley111 diarrhoea isn’t uncommon in early pregnancy, it’s all the hormones apparently. Fingers crossed it is just your meds kicking in x

I am 4+7 todag and honestly, my BOOBS ARE SO SORE!!

Everymove I move and sleeping is the worst. They feel so heavy and my nipples are always so hard. Does this last the entire pregnancy?

I also felt very emotional last night and had a little cry. Bloody hormones.

Bentley111 · 25/05/2019 09:15

@mynameisMrG ah are you sure? I've been frantically googling this morning but can't find much. So paranoid it's unreal. I had no idea I was miscarrying last time until I literally miscarried so super concerned now.

mynameisMrG · 25/05/2019 09:20

Definitely. I’ve had it with all four pregnancies. Thought I had food poisoning with the last one. Some women get diarrhoea, some get constipated. It’s a magical time!
I completely understand the paranoia, especially if you’ve had a loss before. I’m over analysing every stomach twinge right now. I wish I could just relax and go with the flow but that’s not mean unfortunately!

Starfish83 · 25/05/2019 09:28

Bentley111, I also get pretty ‘loose’(!). Had it when pregnant with my DD and it was one of my earliest pregnancy symptoms again this pregnancy (first time round I thought it was IBS!). As mynameisMrG says, some get constipation, some get diarrhoea. Definitely the latter for me.

Sorry I haven’t caught up on the thread for a few days - will read and reply properly later. Hope everyone’s doing OK.

Hugs to all. x

MoominMantra · 25/05/2019 09:33

Nausea has ramped up for me today Sad

AstroKate · 25/05/2019 10:18

@Bentley111 another one with upset tummy on and off for the last few weeks 🙋🏻‍♀️

But had my 8 week scan yesterday and all ok and told not to worry about tummy situation! Perfectly normal apparently as @mynameisMrG says.
