Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

Have also been hungry 24/7 but nothing will satisfy me!! Tonight I polish off a whole pack of kinder bueno bars but now really want a Danish pastry/ doughnut. I cannot stop and bless my DP he offered to go to Sainsbury's but I feel like I'm being excessive now...

CatRash · 23/05/2019 21:51

Aw thanks @Seahawk80 Blush I've always had a high BMI despite being a size 10/12 so I'm with you with the bones made from lead thing!

Mmm cheap crisps - in particular chipsticks or those cheap supermarket own brand spirals. I sent DH out for cheap crisps the other day and he came back with Walkers and I was a little disappointed lol!

Oooh Kinder Buenos @Anon120 - I love a Kinder Bueno!! I think I'd be taking full advantage of OHs offer Blush

SleepingStandingUp · 23/05/2019 22:32

I need food

DinoGreen · 24/05/2019 05:59

Mmmm salt and vinegar chip sticks ... also M&S sell big family sized bags of the spirals and I can easily polish off a whole one to myself even before I was pregnant!

My boobs are like rocks, it’s painful 😣 I like sleeping on my front so been trying to do it while I still can, but I can’t because it’s too painful on my boobs! I don’t remember them being this bad last time round.

plipliop · 24/05/2019 06:11

Good morning everyone.

I miss sleeping properly. 5AM is too early.

I'm too hungry to sleep.

Last day at work today then half term thank God!

MoominMantra · 24/05/2019 07:56

I had cut down my sertraline to 50mg but I'm going to have to put the dose back up because yesterday I had an horrific day. In the past I've been very unwell after having my youngest daughter. It's easy to forget how ill you've been in the past when you're currently well.

My partner has been pressurising me to use holistic methods. His ignorance about the whole thing is stressful.

Bentley111 · 24/05/2019 08:22

@MoominMantra that sounds really tough. My DH keeps suggesting I drink ginger tea to stop my HG... I'm almost ready to pour it over him 😩

TiredStepMum · 24/05/2019 08:45

Obviously in no way the same as @moominmantra situation but I have to say I’m struggling a bit with my DH’s ‘inputs’ (read mansplaining 😂) especially when they’re just plain wrong!
For example his lack of biology knowledge meant he was convinced if I just eat loads of vegetables it would stop the baby having Down’s syndrome. I had to gently explain that wasn’t how it worked and something genetic like that is decided at conception. Even then instead of just admitting the lack of understanding he retorts with ‘well I’m sure it doesn’t happen to very healthy people.’ I mean - the ignorance 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
I know their ‘advice’ comes from a good place but honestly when I was served up a side portion of broccoli with my breakfast at 7am it was a step too far! 😂😂

SleepingStandingUp · 24/05/2019 08:57

I'm getting lots of left sided pain around my hip area. You can't self refer to EPU here until 20 weeks but I'm increasingly worried it's ectopic.
Think I'm gonna have to call 111 when I pick him up from school and consider going up. No bleeding just the pain

KMic · 24/05/2019 09:34

Morning everyone!

Right with those of you who cant stop eating. My problem is, I AM NOT HUNGRY any more! It's just the only thing that stops me feeling sick!! So I am just stuffing my face anyway!! Already put on 4lb and i'm only 6+5 ... i spoke to my husband last night and said I was worried, but he just said to do what I have to do and worry about the weight afterwards, especially after what happened last time. I'm usually a size 12 (14 in some trousers) and I'm already feeling snug in most things ... I just know i'm going to get loads bigger!

I still haven't had any sore boobs yet, just nausea and tiredness - and that's enough for me right now!! Booked in with the EPU on Monday, to check everything is ok, bit apprehensive, but just hoping for the best!

KMic · 24/05/2019 09:34

@SleepingStandingUp what sort of pain is it? And how far along are you? x

MummyBearBoo · 24/05/2019 09:45

@KMic -I'm with you I'm 6+4 apart from lunchtime I never feel hungry coz I just feel sick but I have to force myself to eat otherwise I feel terrible the day after! I feel ok while I'm eating but as soon as I finish I feel sick! Xx

KMic · 24/05/2019 10:12

@MummyBearBoo ... so glad i'm not alone!!! I dont want to tempt fate but I dont feel AS BAD now as I did first thing or yesterday, I had a couple of slices of toast for breaky and now having some watermelon which seems to do the trick! Hoping that will see me through for a while!

MummyBear405 · 24/05/2019 10:18

I'm new to the group, my EDD is 27th Jan with baby number one Smile

BowiesJumper · 24/05/2019 10:33

Hey all, I’ve been a bit quiet as been away for a few days (Thomas Land- highly recommend!).

I’m 6+4 today. Got my booking in appointment in 2 weeks, I’m going to be consultant led so it’s with a doc. This is mostly because I’ve got a high bmi this time (didn’t in my last pregnancy). I’m readying myself for the tellings off and scary words.

I’ve very few symptoms at the moment so I’m another wondering what’s going on in there!!

BowiesJumper · 24/05/2019 10:34

And so so sorry to read about all the losses and worries. Fingers crossed for those still waiting to find out what’s going on and love to those who have sadly lost their beans. X

Cannyhandleit · 24/05/2019 10:37

Haha @TiredStepMum well you can let your husband know in my first pregnancy I did everything by the book, took all the vitamins, ate all the veg and baby was still born with Down's syndrome. It takes the men a bit more work to get their heads round everything!

Bentley111 · 24/05/2019 10:46

Lol @TiredStepMum our DHs would get on like a house on fire.
I thought his biology was bad whilst we were TTC (ovulation is a myth, OPKs are dark magic) but now that I'm pg it's a whole new level... especially since MIL told him that the reason for my mc was that I'm too skinny (size 6, highly active, don't diet) 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

SleepingStandingUp · 24/05/2019 10:49

@KMic pain in groin / hip area left side only, some sharp but mainly dull. Felt sick all morning. Spoke to a friend who knows and is a nurse and she said it fits early signs of ectopic but also a cyst, water infection, stretching pain etc. No discharge or bleeding.

I'm just worried worrying is going to affect the baby if she is in the right place.
DS in nursery til 11.30 but might phone go after that

DaisyMay25 · 24/05/2019 11:03

So sorry for all those having bad news Thanks

I've got midwife on Wednesday then scan on Thursday where I'll be discharged from my clinic too, it's come around fast!
I'm still not doing good, nausea is so bad today, the thought of eating or drinking anything is making it worse! Had a telephone consultation but they want me to go in later to test urine. Hopefully I won't feel this horrendous for much longer.

mynameisMrG · 24/05/2019 11:34

Just threw up at soft play. New low

KMic · 24/05/2019 11:39

@SleepingStandingUp .. hmm yes sounds best to go in and get it looked at ... I have had cysts in that region in the past so the pain does sound similar to that, and perhaps with everything moving down there it's currently in a position that's painful ... not too clued up on the Eptopic pregnancies, but I think most come to light around 4-5 weeks, so if you are around this time you shouldn't rule this out ... however HOPEFULLY it is just a few natural twinges of your body adjusting to everything!! Please let us know how you get one!

@DaisyMay25 oo goodness, sounds awful! I know with my nausea, the last thing I feel like doing is eating, but as soon as I do I feel better .. have you tried just shoving some dry toast or salted crisps or something down your throat? It's crap how some people get it so much worse than others! I was on a bad day yesterday with it, but it doesn't seem AS BAD today .. just constantly grazing on food!

KMic · 24/05/2019 11:39

@mynameisMrG ... DYING!!!! Sorry you feel so crap, but that made me chuckle!!! GOOD OLD PREGNANCY!!!

TiredStepMum · 24/05/2019 11:41

@Bentley111 OMG they really are the same person 😂 Mine was the same re: TTC just refused to believe it had anything to do with when you ovulate and timing conception was a waste of time. You know they’re pig headed when even the NHS website doesn’t convince them! 😂😂

mynameisMrG · 24/05/2019 11:42

I’m not complaining @KMic, means I get to sit nursing an orange juice while my DH has to follow DS round 😂😂
