Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

@DaisyMay25 I was reading that at this stage there's no need to panic about getting enough nutrients etc as it really is so tiny and gets everything from us.
Think it's after 12 weeks when this becomes more critical.

A bit better thanks, the tablets have done the job with the vomiting - that's lessened to just once or twice per day - and the nausea has decreased slightly but that's what's really killing me. It's just constant 😩 I think I will go back to the GP tomorrow and see if I can either up them or switch tablets.

micls · 22/05/2019 13:11

Not looking good for me unfortunately. Red blood and cramping today. GP says it doesn't look positive and referred me to EPU. Scan at EPU tomorrow.

MummyBearBoo · 22/05/2019 13:17

The midwife always asks if you and the baby daddy are related -Gross!! I pretty much know all questions coz with my DD we moved to 3 different cities coz of DH's job so I got booked in 3 times then have been booked in twice since then -I have consultant lead care tho so I see the consultants more than my midwife I have to see them on 11th June!! Xx

MummyBearBoo · 22/05/2019 13:18

Fingers crossed it's all ok @micls let us know how you get on at EPU xx

Starfish83 · 22/05/2019 13:18

Glad to hear the spotting’s settled, Bentley111 and hope the doc can sort your meds tomorrow.

So sorry to hear this, micls. Thinking of you and hope that you have some good support close. xx

micls · 22/05/2019 13:21

Only 10 weeks since the last miscarriage, so struggling to face into it again. But thanks for the support and just for all the contributions 5o the thread. It really helps to read other stories.

Baby4mum · 22/05/2019 13:27

Thanks @Astrokate @Bentley111. I m meeting GP on 24th Fri for my blood test results - will ask him to refer me to EPU. If he didn’t, will simply see if spotting continues and will get private scan done s few days earlier.

mynameisMrG · 22/05/2019 14:05

Thank you so much for all your kind words and support on here.

So I have had a scan, and despite very heavy bleeding for two days little bean is still in there with a heartbeat!

I’ve got to hang around for the consultant as they think I have a heart shaped uterus and may be bleeding from two places. Not out of the woods yet but thankfully still pregnant at the moment.

I am so sorry to those of you suffering bleeds and losses. It’s the most awful thing, especially if you are having to wait for reassurance xxx

mynameismrG, I am so pleased and relieved for you. Let us know how the rest of your day goes when you can. Today you are pregnant. 😊 x

@mynameisMrG I've been thinking of you, glad it's good news! x

Bentley111 · 22/05/2019 14:40

Great news @mynameisMrG what a relief.
I also have a heart shaped uterus. They told me it shouldn't cause any issues, it's just one of those things.
So pleased you & bean are ok x

AstroKate · 22/05/2019 15:18

So so pleased to read this @mynameisMrG

Sounds like you're in good hands!!

AstroKate · 22/05/2019 15:39

Ok, so I've noticed something about my yellow/brown/pink discharge that may be completely irrelevant to everyone else but me but sharing just in case

I have to monitor my intake of fluids due to my kidney transplant. I've noticed that on the days where I'm slightly under what I should be drinking, the discharge goes yellowish. Yesterday I was running around at work and realised mid afternoon I was seriously under my fluid needs. Then noticed brown discharge.

I tried to make it back up but discharge went pink towards end of the day.

Today I've been chugging water like nobody's business and have noticed it's gone back to yellow and now clear the more I've drunk.

As I said, might be completely irrelevant to everyone else and just something specific to my situation!

Anyway, a good reminder to me to keep fluid levels up!! I've got a scan Friday so keeping fingers crossed it's related to that.

SleepingStandingUp · 22/05/2019 16:48

Really pleased for you MrG

Mirana · 22/05/2019 17:03

@mynameisMrG That's great news!

I had light browny/red cm yesterday only when wiping twice, and then it stopped. None today, which is good. I also had the backache from hell but I am SOOOO constipated!!(sorry for TMI lol) No back ache today and still have some symptoms, no sickness but bloated with sore boobs so taking that as a win. I do however have the cold FROM HELL. Hot/cold flushes, fever sweats, headaches, runny nose, cough, earaches, body aches, THE LOT. It's absolutely horrific lol. I've blown my nose so much since monday that I now have eczema all around my nose too. Looking fab honestly.

However, feeling absolutely vile is distracting me from worrying about baby. Have a scan on Friday at 11.30am, I think I will only be about 5 weeks so they won't be able to see anything really will they?? In my mmc I had a scan that measured 5+6 and there was a jelly bean with a little pole and a yolk sac, but at 4+6/5w will there even be that? Just trying to prepare myself. By LMP I'm 6 weeks on Friday but with 45+ day cycles and doing opk's I know I didn't ovulate until the 2/3rd May.

mynameisMrG · 22/05/2019 17:25

Thank you everyone. Consultant wasn’t too concerned about the heart shape but wants me to come back in two weeks for another scan as I’m bleeding right next to the baby. Going to try and relax until then hahahaha as if
Good luck to all those with scans coming up

@mynameisMrG yay x

Baby4mum · 22/05/2019 18:10

@MynameisMrsG Glad to know all went well! What week/day are you on?

@MIrana That’s great insight! I just realised i hv been drinking less than a litre for last 2 days and noticed yellow nd then brown cm

primarywoodle · 22/05/2019 18:34

Yay for the heartbeat! Hopefully the bleeding subsides soon.

Had my booking app today and because my lmp puts me at 11+2 (even though i think im about 7) theyve booked me for a scan on friday. Am terrified and nervous but so delighted - really need reassurance

plipliop · 22/05/2019 18:38

@primarywoodle yay! First scan. Who is going with you?

mynameisMrG · 22/05/2019 18:51

Thank you @Baby4mum, I’m 7+1 😊

I am terrified everytime I go to the toilet, I can't believe how nuts this whole process is making me. Trying to be relaxed but first trimester seems so long!!

@starfish83 you asked about caffeine/decaf earlier. I have one cup of coffee in the morning from my espresso machine. It's the equivalent of a double shot so around 150mg of caffeine. I then might have 2-3 cups max of decaf tea throughout the rest of the day which is estimated at 2mg per cup. So hopefully well under 200mg recommended limit.

I am interested to hear what others are having?
