Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

Well I've joined the sporting club!

I had some brown CM at 6 weeks so had a scan which showed all was ok

This stopped but yesterday I had it again and at the end of the day it was definitely pink tinged. They asked me to come back at 8 weeks which is this Friday so I'm holding on til then.

It's gone this morning but experience from my mc last years says it builds through the day

Trying not to overthink it and hope it's a one off! 🤞

AstroKate · 22/05/2019 08:42

Should say spotting not sporting! I'm anything but sporty! 😆

MoominMantra · 22/05/2019 08:53

Its confusing how the dating guidelines differ so much from Clearblue Digital. Definitely not helpful!

Seahawk80 · 22/05/2019 09:13

@AstroKate I had brown, pink and some red that kept coming and going with DS so it could all be fine. It's just so horrible seeing any blood in pregnancy x

Bentley111 · 22/05/2019 09:21

TMI but am having lots of milky white cm, but this morning when I wiped it was tinged brownish. Am really panicking.
6+2 today.

mitzi2019 · 22/05/2019 09:35

I'm still firmly a reluctant member of the spotting club with some light brown discharge when I wipe pretty much daily for the last two weeks. EPU gave me an early scan at six weeks last tues which was ok as far as they could see and I have a follow up next Tuesday when I'll be about 8 weeks. Had some painful cramping this morning which freaked me out further so I'm Wfh. Ugh I just want to know either way!!!!

Catarinah · 22/05/2019 09:36

@sleepingstandingup i think i ovulated and DID on 4th of May

Starfish83 · 22/05/2019 09:37

Welcome Catarinah and FeedMyFace. 👋🏼

AstroKate, hope that the spotting settles and that you can get some reassurance on Friday.

Bentley111, brown discharge usually means old blood. Probably best to keep an eye on it and if there’s a change in the amount or if it goes on for a long time, or is bright red, contact EPU/midwife. Hope you’re doing OK. xx

Starfish83 · 22/05/2019 09:43

Meant to add, those who are drinking decaf tea/coffee...how much are having per day? x

Bentley111 · 22/05/2019 09:49

Thanks @Starfish83 I've just checked again and it's back to white so fingers crossed it stays that way. There's no way I can go through this sickness to lose a baby 😩

DaisyMay25 · 22/05/2019 10:04

@Bentley111 hopefully you don't get anymore!

I've just been signed off work for a week, I'm not able to eat or drink much and the doctor is worried about my high pulse. Plenty of rest is needed apparently!

Seahawk80 · 22/05/2019 10:06

@mitzi2019 that's exactly what I had with DS. Know how you feel. What I do think is that the tiniest little bit of blood goes a long way if that makes sense so in terms of amount it's hardly any blood. I'm with you on just wanting to know, I'm off to the EPU tomorrow for a scan, should be 7+4.

Baby4mum · 22/05/2019 11:00

@Astrokate @Bentley111 - joining the spotting club too! Last time I posted in this thread I was around 5 weeks and had some pink CM ...it turned to white CM next day and continued for a few days to my delight. However, I am 6 weeks today and it changed to yellow yesterday and brown today. I am super worried now. This is my first pregnancy and my private scan is not until next 11 days.

MoominMantra · 22/05/2019 11:06

I just want to let people know my own experiences regarding early scans. In my second and third pregnancies I was scanned at 7 weeks and a heartbeat couldn't be seen. They are really quick to say you've miscarried but that wasn't the case for me at all. For some reason I'm quite difficult to scan and not much can be seen until 10+ weeks.

For the above reasons i probably won't be scanned early unless there's a good reason. I have found that even consultant gynaecologists don't seem to be able to accept that everyone is different. And this is just something to bear in mind.

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 22/05/2019 11:43

@KMic there's just over 40 people in the Facebook group at the moment x

KMic · 22/05/2019 11:59

@Victoriaaaaaaaa o wow! Quite a few then! Fingers crossed I will join you after Monday x

Catarinah · 22/05/2019 12:04

Can anyone educate me as to which foods I should cut out?

DinoGreen · 22/05/2019 12:20

I had a tiny bit of spotting with DS but there was nothing to worry about at all so try not to worry those who are experiencing it! Though I know that’s easy to say, not so easy to do!

I’ve decided to stick with the hospital I had DS at, and arranged my booking in appointment - it’s not for another 3 weeks though, when I’ll be 9 weeks. I’m tempted to have an early scan, not sure if I can wait!

Starfish83 · 22/05/2019 12:21

Catarinah, the NHS website is pretty good. Here’s the link: www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/foods-to-avoid-pregnant/ xx

Bentley111 · 22/05/2019 12:33

Thanks @DaisyMay25
Poor you... make sure you rest up xx

@Baby4mum oh no, is there any way you can bring it forwards a few days? Or call EPU?

Bentley111 · 22/05/2019 12:34

Ps. Thanks @Starfish83 - luckily no more, it must have been a tiny amount. Keeping everything crossed x

SleepingStandingUp · 22/05/2019 12:46

Is it just me that doesn't have an epu? Anything before 20 weeks, I have to go to a&e

Sorry Catarinah I must have muddled your post with someone elses

AstroKate · 22/05/2019 12:47

For those joining me in the spotting club-
When I went to the EPU with brown CM at 6 weeks they told me 80% of pregnant women experience this around 5-6 weeks and is perfectly normal!

Mine (which was pink) has tailed off today so I'm hoping that's the end of it! Fingers crossed

Good luck to those having scans today!

DaisyMay25 · 22/05/2019 13:04

@Bentley111 how are you getting on with your sickness? I panic because I'm not able to consume much it'll have a negative effect but I don't think that's true

anitagreen · 22/05/2019 13:06

Hi what is the Facebook club would love to join x
