Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

So sorry for those experiencing losses xx
I'm only 4 weeks, feeling really tired and have a dull ache on my left hand side which I'm hoping is normal, have completely forgotten what it was like when I was pregnant with my DD 4 years ago

MummyBearBoo · 21/05/2019 19:49

I'm not too bad @Catarinah I start to feel sick in the evening but get rib pain if I don't eat so have to force myself to eat - I also feel sick if I run about which having a 3 year old DD means that can't be helped! I have sore boobs too but most of the time I'm fine have to odd twinges now and then -how are you? Xx

Catarinah · 21/05/2019 20:05

Yeah i feel ok, been having abdominal and back pain which feels like period pains, nippes sore, and 2 weeks ago i felt really dizzy but that's no longer happening...I'm bloated but I always am because I have IBS haha

SleepingStandingUp · 21/05/2019 20:32

@ravepixie i feel you on the long periods. the hospital will base everything on your lmp until the 12 week scan when they'll realise the baby isn't the right size and they'll adjust your date. I ovulated 22nd April, dtd 21st and 23rd. that puts me a week out based on my lmp but i know i ovulate a week later than their calculations.
i'm 6+1 based on ovulation, 7 weeks based on lmp
If you ovulated on say 24th April you'd be 6 weeks

MoominMantra · 21/05/2019 20:37

@MummyBearBoo - what you describe might be the mucous plug forming.

SleepingStandingUp · 21/05/2019 20:39

can anyone remind me when sore boobs stop? afte cessation of breast feeding?? I'm so bored of sore boobs and now my tummy is sore to touch. i might poke DH as revenge.

I had to pick my hospital too as they need to sort bloods and first scan, and i've been [put on aspirin for being fat

MrsM18 · 21/05/2019 20:42

I have sooo much CM and it definitely has a yellow tinge. Hopefully it's nothing to worry about. I had GBS with my DD, and that was one of my main symptoms so I'm wondering if that's starting already!

Catarinah · 21/05/2019 20:51

@ravepixie so in my 12 week scan they could tell me im 10 weeks not 12?

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 21/05/2019 21:20

@ravepixie sounds like we are in a similar situation, I have PCO and had a bleed at the start of March this year (not convinced it was a proper period) but I know that I ovulated at the end of April. Prior to that I hadn’t had any kind of period since DD was born in 2017. I think I’m just not going to mention the bleed in March to the midwife as it’ll just confuse things, going by LMP I’d be nearly 9 weeks which I’m most definitely not.

FeedMyFaceWithBattenberg · 21/05/2019 21:54

Hello!
Am I too late to join?
I am pregnant EDD:23/1/20 with baby number two!

Glittergirl2 · 21/05/2019 21:55

@Catarinah congratulations..
Sounds like we're in a similar situation I'm 30 and also first baby, I too fell pregnant really quickly (came off the pill first week in April) expecting it to take ages. I've known 3 weeks but still in a state of shock lol x

Catarinah · 21/05/2019 22:02

@glittergirl2 yey! I have anxiety too so I'm already worrying about anything and everything and because it's all so new it's overwhelming but again so exciting, I'm just trying to relax and take it easy. When is your expected due date? We are not planning on telling anyone until 12 weeks either.

Glittergirl2 · 21/05/2019 22:11

@Catarinah I felt really worried the first couple of weeks but have managed to chill out now although It still feels like I'm in a dream, I'm hoping it becomes more real at the 12 week scan. I keep saying to my partner I can't even imagine a baby being in this house! My EDD is 04/01 two days before my birthday lol xx

MunchyMunchkin · 21/05/2019 22:18

Sorry to hear of all the losses today. It’s awful to have it all taken away, even in the early days.

My boobs are killing me, 2 pregnancies in under 6 months seems to have sent them nuts 🙈

Catarinah · 21/05/2019 22:27

@glittergirl2 oh what a nice birthday present! If he/she comes on time hehe! I'm looking forward to finding out when the 12 weeks scan is so I can get excited about telling family and friends! Have you told anyone yet?

MummyBearBoo · 21/05/2019 23:28

@SleepingStandingUp - My boobs hurt a bit after finishing breast feeding just coz I still had a huge milk supply but it reduced so I only remember my boobs hurting for about 4 days then my supply dropped and they stopped hurting and being engorged -when I started breast feeding they hurt for the first week and a bit tho!! X

MummyBearBoo · 21/05/2019 23:31

@Glittergirl2 -my EDD based on ovulation not LMP ( I have long cycles) is 12 January 2 days before my birthday too and 10 days before my DD's birthday! Xx

SleepingStandingUp · 22/05/2019 00:34

@Catarinah yes. My cycles were so long at my 12 week scan they told me I was 7 and told me to come back in 5 weeks. So I got an early peak and confirmation everything was going ok

Glittergirl2 · 22/05/2019 05:39

@Catarinah our parents know and a few close friends but that's it. We'll wait for the scan before we tell anyone else. I was on a hen week in Spain last week and managed to get through it without telling them lol I went with the antibiotics line. Have you told anyone or are you waiting? Xx

Glittergirl2 · 22/05/2019 05:43

@MummyBearBoo ahh lovely, you're in for a special birthday present too. I was worrying about the Christmas decs this Christmas, I'm not sure they'll be able to go up this year incase there's a mad rush to get them down haha it's crazy all the things that have already gone through my head! (providing everything goes well of course) xx

Seahawk80 · 22/05/2019 06:44

@DinoGreen I would go for the more modern hospital. I have the same thing, I can walk to my local hospital and it's near DS nursery but everyone I know who had a baby there caught an infection so I went to one which is slightly further but has an amazing reputation. There aren't that many appts / scans and it's worth being in the best place when you do give birth

Catarinah · 22/05/2019 06:52

Based on ovulation i think im more 2-3 weeks then not 4-5 so very early. No we haven't told anyone and not planning to until 12 weeks, just hoping everything will be ok and that baby is happy and healthy. I have my first midwife apt 11th of June, she said it'll be an hour long, what happens in this apt?

MoominMantra · 22/05/2019 07:20

@Catarinah they will take all your medical history and also blood tests to establish your blood type and also check for any infections etc.

SleepingStandingUp · 22/05/2019 08:15

@Catarinah if you only dtd 24th April which I think you put up thread, I'd assume you ovulated around that time too. That makes you about 6 weeks as it counts from BEFORE ovulation.

SleepingStandingUp · 22/05/2019 08:17

Ours did medical history, prior pregnancies, checked home situation ie vulnerby housed, DV, etc and if DH and I were related (we're not).
Booked me in for bloods at hospital and sent referral for 12 week scan based on lmp dates
