Hi ladies

Thought I’d start a new thread as we were close to filling the last one. Shall we do a little check in?

I’m due 7th Jan with 2nd baby.

I'm so sorry Pixiexx

anitagreen · 19/05/2019 18:31

Is anyone else struggling with morning sickness at the moment it's not so much the vomiting it's the constant nausea I've only managed to eat a banana today because of it I'm nearly 7 weeks now x

DaisyMay25 · 19/05/2019 18:48

So sorry @SuperPixie247

@anitagreen yes! I'm 7+4 and the nausea is all day!! Go see your gp for tablets? I was told to try and eat something in bed as soon as I wake up (dry crackers or ginger biscuits) then wait another 20 minutes to get up. As hard as it is it's best to not let your stomach get empty but sometimes I even struggle to drink water!

Also recommend lucozade sport!

plipliop · 19/05/2019 18:51

@SuperPixie247 so sorry xxxxx

anitagreen · 19/05/2019 19:03

@SuperPixie247 sorry Pixie Thanksx

anitagreen · 19/05/2019 19:04

@DaisyMay25 ooh I will try lucozade I used to love that the original one. I heard fresh ginger in hot water is supposed to be good too but it sounds rank Envy

raligator · 19/05/2019 19:53

I’m so sorry to hear all those who are experiencing losses, my heart goes out to you Flowers

I have had to get a sick line from work because of morning sickness - not just nausea, but constant dizziness and lying down about 23hours a day! I work in health care and need to be on my feet looking after people all day so it’s just not possible at the minute!

Only thing I can keep down is toast and plain biscuits.

Told my mum and dad today which made it all so much more real, and telling the outlaws tomorrow!

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 19/05/2019 20:12

@raligator outlaws 😂😂😂

MoominMantra · 19/05/2019 20:23

I'm not feeling very well today. I'm 6+6. I don't seem to have full on nausea but it's constantly in the background & feels like motion sickness.

LittleRedSocks · 19/05/2019 21:13

Day 4 of faint lines only on pregnancy tests. AF was due yesterday and so far no bleeding but I’m so worried. Anyone have any experience of consistently faint prego tests? They are FRERs

mynameisMrG · 19/05/2019 21:39

Is your wee quite diluted @LittleRedSocks? Could be that. AF due yesterday is only a day. You may have ovulated a bit later. It could still get darker

LittleRedSocks · 19/05/2019 21:44

Thanks @mynameisMrG, I’ve been testing throughout the day, so mornings with FMU and afternoons and evenings (I know: massive waste of money!!!) and I now think the lines are even getting fainter...have a horrible feeling this will turn out to be a chemical pregnancy. Will be absolutely devastated but I think just trying to prepare in my head for it yet clinging on to Faldo hope that maybe others have been in same boat and all turned out fine x

Victoriaaaaaaaa · 19/05/2019 21:53

@LittleRedSocks don't give up hope! You might have just ovulated later than you thought! I actually got my very very very squinter faint positive 13 days before my period which I'm still shocked at! I must have ovulated earlier this time - give it a few more days before you test again x

LittleRedSocks · 19/05/2019 22:03

Thanks @Victoriaaaaaaa , I’ll try to cling a little to hope (and just had a little cry why cuddling my almost three YO DD who’s sleeping beside me tonight - I know we are so lucky that we have her), I just don’t think there’s any good way to interpret line not being as dark as already faint lines the previous days. I will feel so awful to let my husband down after telling him and he really is so excited, the thought is breaking my heart xx

LittleRedSocks · 19/05/2019 22:04

Sorry - I realise too I am being a negative force here on a lovely happy positive thread so I’ll keep it zipped from now on, just needed to share my thoughts and fear before I explode xxx

mynameisMrG · 19/05/2019 22:06

@LittleRedSocks don’t be silly! Everyone is here to support each other. I doubt there is a single person on this thread who isn’t worried about miscarriage. I have spent the last two hours googling symptoms of MMC (which is ludicrous I know). Feel free to share how you are feeling as I bet there is someone reading it that feels the same way xx

OP posts:
MoominMantra · 19/05/2019 22:10

@LittleRedSocks I didn't get a strong line on a FRER until my period was 4 days late. HTH

LittleRedSocks · 19/05/2019 22:18

Thank you both, I really appreciate that. I’ll keep you posted but in the meantime I’m loving reading all your excited posts! It’s such a special time and I’m rooting for you all xxx

Mirana · 19/05/2019 22:44

Hoping period type pains are normal! I've had mild/moderate period type pains for about 4 days now and I'm 4-5weeks (wont be sure until scan). I have however realised that they definitely correlate to other things - if I need a wee, am bloated, run about too much they start, so I think they more come from stomach pressure from other things if that makes sense. 100% paranoid about miscarriage, I had a mmc in 2015 so extra on edge but this pregnancy feels very different. Fingers crossed, although I still dont quite believe it!!

Mirana · 19/05/2019 22:45

Also very sorry to read about the losses and worries :( this time is the worst.

SleepingStandingUp · 19/05/2019 22:48

Like MrG said, it's normal to worry. I've had intermittent pains all day and have been a bit pathetic about doing much because I'm scared if I do ill cause something bad to happen, that I might have already jinxed it because I told a few people, that because this is only my second pregnancy that I don't statistically have the right to nocomplications, that being fat means I've already set this pregnancy up to not be OK etc.
I think most of us worry ti ltheyre here safe and then ALL of us worry forever more

mynameisMrG · 19/05/2019 22:50

So true @SleepingStandingUp! If only the worry stopped after pregnancy!

OP posts:
MoominMantra · 19/05/2019 23:03

I worry too every day. I think that's normal tbh. Earlier today I was finding my posts on the anti natal threads from when I was pregnant with dd3 who is now 10! I can't remember very much about the early days.

stressedoutorknockedup · 19/05/2019 23:17

I have a question about prenatal vitamins - anyone else taking pregnacare? It says take with a main meal on a full stomach but I totally forgot today. You reckon I'm ok just having them with water now rather than skipping them all together?
