@GemmaJen and @Whisky2014 pets are def the best stress reliever! I have cried so many times during this pregnancy and a cuddle from my rabbit solves everything! Also feeling that if I can keep her alive, and she can’t even make noise, then I should be ok as a mother! Ha ha!

@MyHomey - such cute stuff! My husband has limited me to not buying more than we could get through in 2 weeks!

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/04/2019 08:08

Yesterday i had tooth ache. It appears to have turned into a sinus infection. Been up most of the night, my face is killing me. Sad Its 8am and i have already taken half of the days painkillers ....

Megan2018 · 25/04/2019 08:28

@MyHomey
Have a look at the Lanisoh bottles. They review very well (and they are pretty cheap).
If we combi or FF I’m going to try these.

TwittleBee · 25/04/2019 08:51

IVEgottheDECAF DS woke at 3.30am and didn't resettle till 5am. How about you? You were up early too!

MyHomey yeah is tricky to know the balance. But as you know, these things are so easy to get hold of. We just used the tommee tippee bottles for DS, they were cheap and cheerful. So super glad he got on with those straight away.

Welcome BonnieSeptember ! And yup still throwing up here at 19+3 weeks here

TwittleBee · 25/04/2019 09:02

Working from home today and DH just made me move off the bed where I was working on my laptop and onto the desk with a cup of tea where he told me i have to sit on my yoga ball and not the chair haha.

It's a good thing I find it adorable him thinking of me like that rather than controlling. I know he is right, need to shift this baby out of breech and I do not want another back to back labour.

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/04/2019 09:05

Took pain killers at midnight, went to sleep. Woke at 1.30 in AGONY. Had to wait til 4 to take more painkillers. Then had to wait for the to kick in. Asleep for 5ish. Dc4 up at 630. Oh the joys.

TwittleBee · 25/04/2019 09:13

Oh that's horrid IVEgottheDECAF and of course being pregnant means no using a different painkiller between doses of paracetamol

Megan2018 · 25/04/2019 09:21

@IVEgottheDECAF
Hope you feel better soon. Steam might help? Sinus pain is evil!
I was wide awake just before 5 again. Still managed to be late for work though
Arm killing from whooping cough vaccine.

MyHomey · 25/04/2019 09:39

Thanks for the advice @Megan2018 and @TwittleBee

Welcome @BonnieSeptember! I felt rough until 14 weeks so can't imagine how you must be feeling this long in. Feel very sorry for you :/

@IVEgottheDECAF get well soon Biscuit

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/04/2019 09:41

Ty all

This the third time i have been like this in four months. Gp cant see me so going to try the walk in later.

Stroan · 25/04/2019 09:51

Hi @bonnieSeptember still sick here at 21 weeks. Although the nausea and retching is far worse than the vomiting, I need to increase my medication again. Fingers crossed yours doesn't last too long.

@Ivegotthedecaff that sounds horrendous - hope you get some help soon.

Sleeping last night was like a comedy - I can't roll over without a lot of effort then woke up with a dead arm so couldn't push myself over. I ended up getting out of one side of the bed and walking round to get in the other side. Anyone else getting uncomfortable at night? Our bed is stupidly high and I think I'll need a step to get into it soon.

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/04/2019 09:53

I'm being sick still every few days first thing in the morning. Its crap.

Megan2018 · 25/04/2019 10:30

I'm still sick most days when I brush my teeth and also occasionally randomly triggered by smell.

I don't ever feel nauseous though - I just literally vomit and then feel fine immediately so I'm not massively bothered by it.

easterbuns1 · 25/04/2019 10:42

If I don't eat something as soon as I get up and just have a drink then I bring it straight back up. Also occasional random vomits a couple times a week too. I remember being the same the whole way through with the older two. Yet still gained loads of weight.

twittlebee I know how you feel with the early waking. My DS has been waking between 3-4am for the last week. No idea why but he just won't resettle again. I'm exhausted!
Also need to get the pregnancy pillow out tonight as my hips and back are starting to really ache in bed. If it's not DS waking me, it's the hips!

BonnieSeptember · 25/04/2019 10:55

@Stroan sorry to hear that! I definitely found the nausea worse than the actual vomiting, luckily thay has calmed down a bit now and I'm able to keep it under control with grazing throughout the day!

BonnieSeptember · 25/04/2019 11:01

@myhomey thanks! It's definitely improved on what it was 3-4 weeks ago so hopefully on the way out.

Bunnymummy89 · 25/04/2019 12:14

@BonnieSeptember another puker over here! On sickness meds for HG and still sick every day, thankfully only once most days now for the last couple of weeks. I'm 20 weeks on Sunday and been a big change over the last couple of weeks so hopefully that happens for you too. Still having random sick days like today where I'm sick most of the morning and can't find a common trigger but definitely bounce back a lot quicker once the vomiting stops now.

@IVEgottheDECAF sinus infections are the worst! Luckily not had a sinus infection since being pregnant but so congested when I wake up, makes me feel even more sick, so I really feel for you! Are you able to treat it or is it viral? I have finally convinced my OH to let me invest in a humidifier and my dr gave me a spray yesterday which has helped a little with the inflammation but today I caved and used the olbas again because it's the only thing that helps when stuffed up and feeling so sick. Almost like smelling salts for me which probably isn't good.

Baby is running marathons in there today though so I'm pretty sure it's not causing it any ill effects! Scan on Tuesday, the amount he or she is wriggling at the mo I am pretty sure will be just as uncooperative as at the last one and refuse to sit still for measurements! :D

boodles101 · 25/04/2019 12:20

Strange one but has anyone lost their sense of taste? Is that even a thing? I've eaten 3 things this morning which I've said to my colleagues it's completely tasteless. They have eaten the same (left over Easter treats) and confirm it must be me! Not noticed it before now!

happydays00 · 25/04/2019 12:33

Hi to @BonnieSeptember - I'm still throwing up most mornings but the nausea usually wears off by 10am so I'm not too bothered by it. Extremely thankful for feeling like that too!

@boodles101 - I think my sense of taste is just coming back (20+5) now. So odd isn't it? I ate a steak last night and it tasted like steak, it was amazing!

@IVEgottheDECAF gosh you are really suffering - I hope the walk in can give you something and you get some sleep tonight!!

I've got my 20 week scan this afternoon, just want it over with 😬

BonnieSeptember · 25/04/2019 15:26

@happydays00 good luck with your scan! I've got mine next Friday, feels like a lifetime away still

Karigan195 · 25/04/2019 16:34

I can’t keep up with this thread. Saw my consultant yesterday. Heard the dreaded phrase that his growth chart shows he’s on the upper percentile. Been there before and it’s half of why i ended up with an emergency c section. Contemplating taking up a bad habit or two that might cause a lower birth weight (not really)

Lavellan · 25/04/2019 16:55

@Karigan195 oh wow they can be ahead already? What are they measuring to know that?

IVEgottheDECAF · 25/04/2019 17:00

karigan what weight was your elder dc at birth?

Karigan195 · 25/04/2019 17:28

Older son was 9lb I think. I’ll check the growth chart when I get home as it is on there.
