Thank you dusty. Ok i also just watched the YouTube videos. Think I'm all set!

Still feels like ages to go. I just completed week 23 so into 24 now. Mw app this Wednesday where I think it's quite a long appointment. Excited to apply for the baby box though!

barberstreisand · 03/05/2019 12:29

My sickness seems to have come back full throttle, I’ve had to come home from work as I’ve been sick all day!.

KnobJockey · 03/05/2019 12:37

You're very welcome for all the clothing links, hopefully there's some places there that some of you haven't seen? @Stroan did you find anything that fits the bill? If you're really stressing and worrying about it, and you think it might help you to bond if you know what you're having, then do it- it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things at all whether you know now or a bit later. You do what you think will keep you going, we all know this pregnancy lark can make us all feel a bit low at times- it's totally not appreciated how hard it is, especially with other kids involved.

TwittleBee · 03/05/2019 12:55

Whisky2014 my belly button never popped out so no, they don't always! Hoping mine doesn't again!

Think I spent about £250 for our nappy haul, think we have about 20 in total, a load of liners and boosters too.

Actually had a test of the nappies on DS! Although he is day time potty trained we haven't braved nap times ye. Anyway, put on a cloth nappy for nap time and he had really runny poop straight away! Was impressed as how it contained and how easy it was to deal with and all washed out fine!

Loving this nursery chat too! Our nursery is actually becoming my home office now, since my promotion at work (yup! Went from redundant, to new job and now promoted all during this pregnancy!!). So this baby will be in with his big brother after the first few months.

TwittleBee · 03/05/2019 12:55

It's horrid isn't it barberstreisand ! Hoping you get it under control back home and can rest up, it's exhausting being sick!

Megan2018 · 03/05/2019 13:03

I am not admitting how much I spent on nappies! Only that it is north of £400 inc all the sundries.
But I have 20 BTP and 14 Newborn. I don't think there are enough newborn to use day and night and allow for drying but will either get more once she is here or mix with disposable until the BTP fit.

I can tell that nappies are going to go the same way as horse rugs. I have at least 30 of those and the horse hardly wears any....

barberstreisand · 03/05/2019 13:07

@TwittleBee I had it quite bad at the start of the pregnancy, and thought I’d past it all know, but obviously not. I can already tell this little one is going to be trouble!

sugarsprinklesrainbowdrops · 03/05/2019 13:14

@Whisky2014 @DustyDoorframes thanks ladies. Thanks Hopefully I'll be back this evening to join in with all the fun prep chats! I will report back later either way.

TwittleBee · 03/05/2019 13:17

Same happened to a few of us on here. We looked to be getting into the all clear and then suddenly it came back again barberstreisand

Karigan195 · 03/05/2019 13:20

Yep totally. Mine is still lingering in the background and pops out if I get tired, bend down for too long, have a cold, try to take pills etc etc. Seems to go then suddenly bang there it is again

DustyDoorframes · 03/05/2019 13:22

Rollercoaster work life @TwittleBee !!!!

Yeah I think we are on just north of £400 across two children, which I reckon is about what one child would have cost in biodegradable nappies (and they both potty trained relatively early). I got fancy nappies though. If I'd gone for flat terries it would be about £100 and I bet they'd still be going strong rather than in tatters.

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/05/2019 13:38

Had my whooping cough and attempted to request mat b1 but been told i need to speak to mw directly not sure if i have her number as am on third one already!

Megan2018 · 03/05/2019 13:38

I have managed a whole week of not throwing up when tooth brushing! It has been close a few times and I still can't brush like I did, but big improvement.

The kitchen bin set me off this morning though - I'd had 5 clear days with that and then bang, am 21+1.

I have confidence there is light at the end of the tunnel though!

I can also eat broccoli again. It was my favourite veg but for the first 4 months couldn't go near it (or any other veg apart from peas). It is now back on the menu :)

Moraxella · 03/05/2019 14:41

I’m getting my matb1 on Friday after I phoned up.
Nausea here again occasionally too - the fridge mainly and the smell of the kitchen.
Could happily eat celery and grapefruit all day tho.

sugarsprinklesrainbowdrops · 03/05/2019 17:10

All ok on the scan Grin so relieved! DH has to sit outside with DD & I had to go for a fizzy drink as it was hiding but what a relief. Now I can join in with the shopping! (Online- I have hyperemesis & on crutches for SPD Envy)

Have just downloaded Kinder to look at names (like Tinder but you swipe for names & it gives a match when you & DH/P both like the same one). Haven't bought/thought about anything as I was waiting for today so I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do! Has everyone else started thinking about names?

DustyDoorframes · 03/05/2019 17:32

@sugarsprinklesrainbowdrops what a relief!!!!
I like the sound of kinder. We are hopeless at names, but DP doesn't have a smartphone so no good for us sadly.

sugarsprinklesrainbowdrops · 03/05/2019 17:44

@DustyDoorframes you can still do it! It saves a list of ones you've "liked". DH will rapidly lose interest in it so I'll just send him my lists. Although having never used Tinder, I mixed up which way I needed to swipe so my saved list is all names I don't actually like Blush

barberstreisand · 03/05/2019 18:01

@sugarsprinklesrainbowdrops We’ve decided on Noah Eli for a little boy.

sugarsprinklesrainbowdrops · 03/05/2019 18:21

@barberstreisand aww I love the name Noah! I think it makes everything feel more real to have a name picked out. Although I have a feeling we won't have one this side of September...DH keeps saying he dislikes every name I suggest because he once knew someone with the name I've suggested who he didn't like Hmm so far he has suggested his parents' names...

Megan2018 · 03/05/2019 18:27

We have middle names agreed. First name is trickier, DH set on Felicity. I’m still not 100% due to alliterative surname. But I have a feeling it’ll stick.
So Felicity Chloe Margaret F or Felicity Margaret Chloe F.
I still like Harriet, Emilia and Verity but DH doesn’t. Eliza is a possibility, DH says it is ok.
Who knows!

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/05/2019 18:32

I love Verity. You should fight for it!

sugarsprinklesrainbowdrops · 03/05/2019 18:55

@Megan2018 you have a great taste in names. Verity is beautiful! I also love Liberty which is similar but my friend is using it. I'm finding names I like a lot then realising they sound too similar to DD's name so would sound silly said together. So much harder having to consider how 2 names go together this time around.

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/05/2019 19:13

You should try naming baby #5 Grin

TwittleBee · 03/05/2019 19:15

If we are lucky enough to have another child, it better be a girl because we have certainly no boy names we like left now. We went through all the names on an app which was over 5000! No clue how you've named 5 DECAF

sugarsprinklesrainbowdrops · 03/05/2019 19:27

@IVEgottheDECAF wow, I can imagine! - do you & DP have similar taste/tend to agree on names? DH & I seem to have very different taste. We said for years if we had a DD, we'd use the name we called DD so it was very lucky we had a girl! Beyond that, we have nothing that we agree on! We seem to have polar opposite taste in boys names.
