@Karigan195 little lamb fitteds? You could use those with any wrap, so if you wanted different designs instead of the plain little lamb ones which are a bit boring you could look elsewhere.

@boodles101 did you have twins scan today?

TwittleBee · 01/05/2019 17:34

Karigan I’ve got some of the lambs, I did buy a couple of their own plain wraps but I’ve also got other wraps too from other brands (which was what the nappy lady actually suggested I do!)

TwittleBee · 01/05/2019 17:35

DH can’t make my 20 week scan, no one can! So going on my own.

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 01/05/2019 17:57

@Karigan195 If you like the look of Little Lambs then I use them at night with blueberry wraps (which have loads of cute designs) and they work well! Little Lamb wraps are Velcro as well and my lo learnt to open Velcro nappies at quite a young age 😂 But if you love the patterns then pocket nappies can be great - in the day I use a combination of bumgenius and little bloom and theyre both fab. (bumgenius a bit less likely to leak but also a lot more expensive!)

boodles101 · 01/05/2019 18:03

hsunshine yes I did thanks. All was good, both babies perfectly healthy and one boy, one girl. I'm very happy and also very excited! Both are currently breech too!

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 01/05/2019 18:53

@boodles101 Aww one of each, how lovely!

Whisky2014 · 01/05/2019 19:50

As one of each...cute!

Karigan195 · 01/05/2019 19:51

Thank you everyone. I’ve been reading review after review after review and come down to trying the close pop in ones. They have two bundles of 4 for a reasonable price on Babi pur so taken the leap and ordered. Plus they have discounts and a free gift if you spend over £25 this week.

They seem really flexible in that you can add in night time inserts and bamboo super soakers if needed.

Also joined the Babi pur hang out on Facebook and am busy grabbing what info I can from posts!

Tefiti2 · 01/05/2019 20:09

Thank you @stroan!

Lovely to hear more happy scan news! Enjoying the nappy chat, we used them with DS but have decided not to use them this time, hoping Aldi’s finest will fit well as I bought a stack in their baby event!

Whisky2014 · 01/05/2019 20:13

Woo my nappies have arrived. I got 5 elemental abd 5 elemental joys plus the bambinex liners and i got some type of booster can't remember which. Think they look good actually. Still waiting on nappy lady to update her stock of elementals so i can order different colours. Not really fussed about patterns but want different coliurs anyway. Also, thonk we are just going to stick with the micralite pram and carry cot since we got such a good deal and the maxi cosi pebble plus car seat. :)

stormtrooperjulian · 01/05/2019 20:21

I’ve just filled out the nappy lady questionnaire, need to do some proper research into reusable nappies now. I really know nothing much about them

I’m a bit overly tired and emotional this evening after sleeping badly last night. I burst into tears half way through dinner and announced to DH that I don’t know how to look after a baby, and what if my baby doesn’t like me?

boodles101 · 01/05/2019 21:09

Has anyone got their MatB1 form yet? Just realised whole having a nice bath I should have asked the midwife today for it. I won't see her tip after 25 weeks now so guessing ill have to ring her.

boodles101 · 01/05/2019 21:12

stormtrooper I don't think anyone knows how to look after a baby really! I definitely spent the first few weeks/months of DS's life, googling how to...and what does it mean if..... Your baby will absolutely adore you and you will find your own way of doing things so try not to panic too much.

Hsunshine · 01/05/2019 21:26

boodles great news re scan! I have heard most don’t give them until 26 weeks now

Stormtrooper I deff don’t know how to look after a baby I feel like you just magically figure it out once you have baby

excitednerves · 01/05/2019 21:26

@boodles101 I got mine today when I “passed” my 20 week scan. My work needs you to hand it in before 25 weeks (15 weeks before due date) so I’d give them a ring.

boodles101 · 01/05/2019 21:31

excitednerves yes I think my work is the same so I'll chase her up.

excitednerves · 01/05/2019 21:33

@stormtrooper same! I freaked out because I don’t know what to dress a baby in if it’s a hot summer.

I think it’s just par for the course. We will do our best and our babies will be just fine Flowers

Whisky2014 · 01/05/2019 21:38

@boodles101 I dont get mine until 24 week midwife appointment which is next week.

DustyDoorframes · 01/05/2019 22:07

Super behind on the thread, but @excitednerves , we've never used a lie flat pram, just stuck with a sling for the first 6 months (more like 12 with DC1 and 8 with DC2 actually), and then went straight for a lighter pushchair. With DC2 we did buy car seat adaptor things to attach the car seat to the pushchair, but we never used them (we don't have a car so only need the car seats for taxis and visiting rural relatives...)

Megan2018 · 01/05/2019 22:11

My MW apt is 23+3 so rather hoping she’ll give me my MATB1 form then as I also have to give it to work by 25 weeks.

Stroan · 01/05/2019 22:39

I'm not seeing my midwife again until I go on mat leave but she said the clinic at the hospital should be able to give me my MatB1.

@stormtropperjulian no-one does! And I've forgotten it all. You figure it all out.

I remember sitting at home in complete disbelief that actual adults thought it was ok to send a baby home with us.

db92 · 02/05/2019 05:43

My midwife can't fit me on now until I'm 26+4... I better check with work re the MATB1 today just in case.

Our 20 week scan take two is booked in for this morning. Fingers crossed this stubborn baby is in a better position!

TwittleBee · 02/05/2019 05:52

I'm feeling less and less confident with my MW again. This is the 2nd one I've had, changed because 1st one had issues with never getting back to me, including never arranging my 16 week app. This one is now also ignoring my contact.

stormtrooperjulian · 02/05/2019 06:26

@boodles101 @Hsunshine @excitednerves @Stroan I know I was being silly, I think I just got a bit overwhelmed.

@db92 @boodles101 my midwife said I could call if I needed the MatB1 and she’d have it ready for me to collect.

@db92 Fingers crossed baby cooperates today!
