Uff my nappy delivery didn't get delivered by DPD because they didn't have my name down as a contact, wtf. We always get deliveries left for us in garage cause we live in a safe village. So annoying, i was so excited.

Whisky2014 · 30/04/2019 19:00

Just tried leggings and a top I got in Lidls. I actually really like them. Don't find the leggings see through at all and did a bend over test to my husband who said they weren't see though. This is medium 12/14 and top is medium 14/16.

Karigan195 · 30/04/2019 20:00

Those aren’t the type I have. Maybe a new range! Might have to go look tomorrow!

Whisky2014 · 30/04/2019 20:02

Yeh. I do have the stretchy/silky leggings with the pink Aztecy print, are those the ones you mean? I also got these tops. I tied the grey one at the back and think it looks better than just loose.

Whisky2014 · 30/04/2019 20:03

Oh my other photos haven't appeared, have they?

excitednerves · 30/04/2019 20:20

Oooh that Lidl kit looks really nice!

People who are already mums - how much did you use a carry cot with your pushchair? I don’t have room to store one and it feels like a big investment for just a few months. Could I get away with car seat that I can put on a pushchair system and a sling?

IVEgottheDECAF · 30/04/2019 20:24

I have always used a carrycot loads. For all day time sleeps. Love just being able to layer up blankets and take baby out still asleep if need be! It is a must for me. Some carrycots collapse to be stored and others can actually turn into the main seat unit although i have never owned one of these myself.

Really sore with the spd today and still two more days at work to go this week. Feel like i am walking like an old lady

IVEgottheDECAF · 30/04/2019 20:28

Sorry to hear about the GD struggles stroan!

Welcome to new people

We dont have a lidl

I recently bought some long line vest tops from Next, and would recommend them. They come in about 6 colours and are two for £11. They arent maternity, i bought a size up and they are a great fit with plenty of growing stretch. They have more length and stretch to them than some of the actual maternity tops i have bought!

kyles101 · 30/04/2019 20:48

Hello ladies!! Cold knocked me for 6, bank hol was a write off really and have never quite managed to get caught up with you all - finally have now!! Glad to hear everyone is doing well, for the most part.

@BridgetJonesDaiquiri my placenta was noted as low lying at my scan - 19 + 2 but I went back yesterday at 21 + 2 and it's already moved so much that they wouldn't actually have classified it as low lying if they'd done the scan yesterday - I was worried too but apparently 9 / 10 do move.

We made a snap decision in the scan to find out the sex.... but bubs wasn't on board and well and truly had their legs crossed - the lady said to try going for a walk but we took it as a sign and stuck with our original decision of kit finding out, I'm pleased actually- it's just so tempting when you're there!!

Yesterday afternoon was spent flat pack building - still have a little to do but nearly there! Then I'll be able to move everything out of the office and into the nursery to take proper stock of what we've got.

KLane · 30/04/2019 21:36

@BridgetJonesDaiquiri Yes I’ve got a low lying placenta as well, which surprised me as I didn’t with DS (and it was a vaginal birth). The MW feels confident it will move, and as someone else mentioned, it’s really only a problem if it’s actually covering the cervix. Fingers crossed for both of us. They’ve booked me in for a scan at 32 weeks, which seems like an awfully long time to wait to find out!

@excitednerves Can you find one second hand? Or could you resell one for a decent price? Unless you have a lay flat car seat, it is advised that babies should only be in the seat for 30 minutes or so at a time (seems very short to me, but that’s the advice).

BBell2 · 30/04/2019 22:10

@barberstreisand welcome we are due date buddies!

@twittlebee I did cry and was caught by a lad who worked for me up until today... cheeky bugger asked if I was upset he was going but then brought me a chocolate and asked if I wanted a walk at lunch! It was early and I felt rubbish all day till I saw DD this evening.

barberstreisand · 30/04/2019 22:27

@kyles101 We’re on the fence about finding out the sex of this one. We’ll be happy either way, but I want to find out so I can start calling them by their name

Tefiti2 · 30/04/2019 23:18

Is anyone able to update the Google doc for me please - I’d forgotten all about it!! EDD is 29/8/19 and baby is a girl!

Stroan · 01/05/2019 08:49

@tefiti2 done!

barberstreisand · 01/05/2019 11:41

We have our 20 week scan tomorrow, I’m getting so excited now, I’ve missed seeing our little one. We also find out what the sex is tomorrow too!.

BridgetJonesDaiquiri · 01/05/2019 12:26

@KLane Sorry to hear that you’re in the same boat but hopefully it’s not an issue for either of us in the long run! 🤞🏻

We had a totally unexpected house viewing first thing this morning, so spent an hour running round like a madwoman blitzing the place that I really could have done without! Knackered now!

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 01/05/2019 13:41

Have just found out that DH is going to be away for work when it's my 20 week scan and hospital can't reschedule :( My Mum will come with me instead but still fairly gutted!

Karigan195 · 01/05/2019 14:54

Oh that’s a pity but you can buy a picture to show him. Maybe have a look at doing a private scan together?

Megan2018 · 01/05/2019 15:22

Hormones clearly in full swing - just had a cry about my Ocado substitutions as it means having to go to a shop and I have a blister from new shoes and don't want to walk. Need to get a grip! Blush Grin

TheCraicDealer · 01/05/2019 15:43

I was on Pinterest the other day and saw an infographic for hospital bag essentials. Could feel myself whelling up so had to click onto something else 😂

Karigan195 · 01/05/2019 15:49

I’m looking at reusable nappies and it’s honestly driving me nuts!!!

I did the nappy lady questionnaire but I don’t particularly like the options she’s suggesting. I like the cute little elephants on the Facebook page but how do I know they will work! It’s a minefield!!!

jazzyjellybeans · 01/05/2019 15:51

Just back from 20 week scan. I'm another one with low lying placenta which is partly covering the cervix

Megan2018 · 01/05/2019 15:57

@Karigan195, what did she recommend?
I'm doing Little Lambs Onesize Pockets, Bumgenius Elemental Joy and Totsbots Bamboozle Stretchies Size 2 with Blueberry Capri wraps for night.

With a few newborn nappies to try before the BTP.

The Elemental Joy and Bamboozles were recommended, the Little Lambs weren't but were super cheap so worth a punt. I also want to try the Baba and Boo.

April88 · 01/05/2019 16:10

Just in case anyone is looking the Maxi Cosi cabriofix is £30 in Asda at the moment:

Karigan195 · 01/05/2019 16:19

@Megan2018. She recommended little lambs and terry cloths.

Little lambs looked ok just I like the patterns on other types.
