@Karigan195
Mine doesn't - tight wads :(. They do have a loan scheme but I wasn't keen on the selection. We do have a nappy library though so if I don't get on with the ones I purchased I will borrow some to try.

Megan2018 · 26/04/2019 17:17

@Whisky2014
I've bought Birth to Potty pockets (5x Little Lambs and 10x Bumgenius Elemental Joy) for day and 5x size 2 Totsbots Bamboozle Stretchies with 2x Blueberry Capri wraps for night. I'll probably add to the stash eventually but want to see what works best first.

If baby looks to be small I am going to look for some used newborns like the Totsbots Teenyfit. But as they are in use for such a short time I don't want to spend much on them.

With all the deals I saved £118 which is not to be sniffed at. I also got the bin, mesh bags, liners, wet bags, vest extenders, 40 re-usable wipes etc.
So if baby is 8lbs+ I am set, and if smaller I'll either need something else or disposables. I think it depends on how far off 8lbs she is!

TwittleBee · 26/04/2019 17:30

Well I feel like an idiot, proper baby brain, turn up to my physio appointment only to be told it was yesterday! So annoying.

Whisky2014 · 26/04/2019 17:52

@Megan2018 bloody hell quite a haul! I think I prefer the elemental rather than the elemental joy but I can't blooming remember why now! Yeh i think I like the birth to potty idea and use disposables for initially until I find my feet.

Oh no @twittlebee what a shame. Do you have to pay a fee for that? My baby brain is horrendous at the moment.

TwittleBee · 26/04/2019 18:25

Well they're covered by my insurance but I'm only getting 12 so it does come out of that 12 annoyingly Whisky2014

I've got quite a nap haul. Someone gave me 30% off for Little Lambs so got 5 size 1 nappies and 3 wraps along with a bunch of liners. Then I've got a Baba & Boo bundle of newborn and One Size nappies. And got a load of second hand nappies on its way too, which are a mix of blueberry and Miosolo and little lamb stuff. Should certainly be enough for now. Think I'll say to anyone that asks what to get this baby to get Miosolos

Dipsy77 · 26/04/2019 19:01

Just got back all is fine I heard the heart beat had an internal and they think it's just old blood thats been hanging about phew !!
They want to make sure the placenta is in the right place at my scan Wednesday which it was when I had my gender scan a few week back but just glad all well, there were a few women in there in labour made me cross my legs a bit !!
My OH has told me no more heavy lifting so good excuse to laze about a bit Smile

DustyDoorframes · 26/04/2019 19:49

Oh @Dipsy77 that's great! You must be so relieved!

Isthisthestart · 26/04/2019 20:02

Anyone have an advice on where to get a snuzpod 2 mattress from? I dont really want to buy the official one for the price! Also a waterproof mattress protector that fits it?

Dipsy77 · 26/04/2019 21:41

Thanks all yes I'm relieved they said if there had been more blood they would have kept me in but thankfully nothing else I've still got a stitch pain but hopefully just stretching pains Smile

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/04/2019 08:08

Great news dipsy lots of rest for you!

I havent made a final decision yet re a pram! The only travel system type i have used past about 1 year old was a M&P Zoom which they no longer make but it was like the Sola. I used this til dd was well over 2. This makes me want a Sola.

I also love the Cosatto Wow, but not willing to pay the price tag on the current designs i like so may see what the prices are like in a couple of months.

I also have been looking at the BabyStyle Hybrid, this has good reviews and I am still not sure if it may be useful to be able to go tandem at times with dc4 although i dont know if i could manage to push it with him in as he is a heavy thing.

Anyway. Pram fund is sat in my bank waiting on a decision!

Work seem to have made some alterations which will hopefully mean i can keep working until the intended 32 weeks! Will see how that goes next week.

I had my spd physio, i didnt find out anything i didnt already know and have now been discharged from the service. If i need to see someone again i have to get reffered again. That took near three months Hmm I just dont want to get to the point like last time where i live on my sofa as it hurts to move as i am convinced this is why last dc was back to back!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2019 08:36

What a relief Dipsy77 ! Hope you can rest up and no more scares for you.

Oh that seems a real let down IVEgottheDECAF ! They aren't gonna offer you any on going treatment to make sure you're doing what you can?

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/04/2019 08:37

No gave me a print out if exercises and some 'advice'

Megan2018 · 27/04/2019 08:59

Good news @Dipsy77, what a relief!

BBell2 · 27/04/2019 09:00

@Dipsy77 what a relief! Good you were seen efficiently, you need that when you are worried!

Im bolloxed, full week working. OH held a poker night till gone midnight, DD slammed my bedroom door open at 3am to say she had weed in her nappy, OH never woke. It's that witching hr for me and I was pretty much awake gone 5 and up for the day at 6. So much natural waking too this week at 3am and it's not even baby kicks yet.

DustyDoorframes · 27/04/2019 09:26

Decaf that's so rubbish!!!!!!!!
And ugh Bbell! Can you have some lovely weekend naps???
MW due to come by at some point in the next hour and a half or so. Can we keep the DC dressed and the house looking respectable for 90 minutes? Will this be possible? Seems pretty unlikely, tbh...

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/04/2019 09:44

dusty why is the mw coming?

DustyDoorframes · 27/04/2019 10:06

Just my 16-18 week appointment. My lot do all the appointments as home visits.
She's just left, all good and everyone was still vaguely respectable so that's ok!

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/04/2019 10:07

Ah i see! Glad all went well!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2019 11:01

That is so rubbish IVEgottheDECAF ! Actually just reminded me that's what my experience was of my NHS post birth physio. Literally was 5 minutes of reading a leaflet and sending me on my way. I'm private now though so guessing that's why it's so different.

Karigan195 · 27/04/2019 12:39

We’ve just been to smythes toys. Actually intended to just let my son spend his pocket money but they had the babylo cosi sleeper bedside crib for £99. Everywhere else it’s seems to be 120 plus except on amazon which seems to have a different hard mattress judging from reviews. Needless to say we picked one up....

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/04/2019 12:59

Bargin Karigan! We are just going to use dc4s moses basket as long as i can get a new mattress that fits and doesnt cost more than an actual new basket! Seen some recently for £20-30!

We will use the basket upstairs and pram carrycot downstairs, having other dc running around i dont like having baby in a basket downstairs. They could easily knock it over. Dc4 would probably also sit in it.

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/04/2019 13:00

Twittle i have luckily never needed physio post birth. In all previous pregnancies once baby has been born spd has gone! Fingers crossed!

TwittleBee · 27/04/2019 14:11

Unfortunately labour left me with sciatica and urinary issues IVEgottheDECAF ! The SPD cleared up for me post birth at least though!

Bargain Karigan195 ! Love it when you spot a deal on something you need unexpectedly!

Does anyone have a tens machine they recommend? Getting a bit confused as a few I've looked at on Amazon say they aren't suitable for pregnant women?

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/04/2019 14:19

twittle anything urinary is my worst nightmare!

Never used a TENs machine, i like gas and air 😁

TwittleBee · 27/04/2019 14:34

I didn't use gas and air last time! The thought of putting it in my mouth made me sick (I've an awful get reflex anyway!) And oramorph does not agree with me. So thought I'd try tens machine.
