Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

Hi all, hope it's ok for me to join this thread. I'm due around 19 Jan, and this will be my first.
My husband and I have been trying for a year with 2 MC, so very nervous about this one. Hope all will be ok.

Congratulations to all of you x

primarywoodle · 11/05/2019 12:49

plip oo what you knitting? I got carpal tunnel towards the end last time and my dh said it was hilarious watching me furiously finish a row then spend 5 mins shaking my hands around like a loon to get the feeling back 😂

Congrats to the other bfps!

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 11/05/2019 12:53

plipliop I’m hoping it’s just because I didn’t eat dinner last night and my sugar levels have obviously dropped and triggered a migraine. I’m only 4 weeks! Would have expected to feel fine till 7+ weeks but I know every pregnancy is different.

Congratulations Chips84, I think I am due around 17th Jan so almost a due date buddy!

Hello ladies Smile tentatively dipping my toes into this thread. I'm 5w along - due around Jan 10th. Is anyone else around the same and having no major symptoms?

I've got a bit of a chequered history with pregnancy - had two miscarriages in my late 30s before getting third time lucky and having my lovely DD (now almost 2) a month after my 40th. I had another miscarriage late last year - that pregnancy I had no symptoms apart from extreme fatigue. This time I had some mild nausea on the day of my positive test but since then not much at all, just gas and the occasional cramp or twinge. Oh, boobs are more tender than normal but nothing like they were with my daughter. I know every pregnancy can be different so I don't want to think negatively until I have a definite reason to do so but can't help wondering why nothing much is happening! I definitely had nausea with DD but can't recall when it started 🤔

Wishing everyone healthy and happy pregnancies xx

Poppyseed0202 · 11/05/2019 13:13

@Chips84 I think i will be 19th as well! Smile

Chips84 · 11/05/2019 13:23

@Poppyseed0202 due date buddy's Smile

plipliop · 11/05/2019 13:27

@MonicaGellerHyphenBing I feel nauseous already at 5 weeks which I don't remember having so early with my boys.

@primarywoodle just knitting random squares at the moment! Don't want to commit to anything in case it doesn't work out.

I'm trying so hard not to get ahead of myself but it's been 10 years since I was last pregnant and I'm so excited!

Welcome all the newbies

Hi. Glad I found this thread!

Got my bfp today. 3 weeks 4 days today. Due 22 Jan 2020. So hoping to join all of you. Smile

AstroKate · 11/05/2019 14:39

Hi all

Can I join too? I got my BFP a few weeks ago but had a MC last year so trying not to get ahead of myself.

I had some brown tinged discharge which had me very worried as that's how my last MC started ...

However, went yesterday to EPU who were very reassuring and told me 80% pregnant women experience this.

I saw my little chip who's exactly 6 wks and even a flutter of a heartbeat.

Got another one in 2 weeks to keep a check as I'm also a transplant patient but keeping everything crossed

Due 3rd Jan

MrsH497 · 11/05/2019 14:53

@AstroKate that's so reassuring to read I've had very light brown discharge last few days and panicked naturally that I'd lost nugget. I'm on holiday so will speak to midwife when I'm home.

mitzi2019 · 11/05/2019 15:05

Hi ladies can I join please! Due jan 4, first pregnancy and I'm feeling very anxious already. I've had light brown spotting for the past 3/4 days and keep being convinced it's the start of a miscarriage but fingers crossed so far it hasn't got worse. I haven't spoken to a doctor yet as it just seems so too early to do anything if the worst happens anyway. I'm toying with the idea of getting an early scan but worried if I don't see a heart beat I'll feel even worse! Argh! No one told me it would be this stressful Confused

McHelenz · 11/05/2019 15:07

@plipliop I'm crocheting baby jumpers to distract me 😊😊. I think we have a boy too!

MrsH497 · 11/05/2019 15:11

@mitzi2019 same! Being abroad isn't helping! I'm just anxious that it's a bad sign.

AstroKate · 11/05/2019 15:14

@mitzi2019 @MrsH497

Sorry if this is TMI but mine is like a mucus consistency but two of three times a day when I wipe, it's a brownish colour. It doesn't really leave anything on a pad and sometimes it's clear.

When I described this to the midwife I saw she said 80% of pregnant women get this at some point in the first trimester and it usually starts around 5 weeks. When I had my Mc before Xmas it was more pinky red and got heavier.

When I went for a scan I was exactly 6 weeks and they could see 4.3mm with a flutter of a heart. But she did say at 6 weeks it's 50/50 whether you can see it so perhaps wait until next week?

I'm really lucky as you can just walk into our EPU but I know some you need to be referred

plipliop · 11/05/2019 15:17

@McHelenz I've tried crocheting but it's a bit wonky! I've abandoned and gone back to knitting 🧶

Due in January 2020
McHelenz · 11/05/2019 15:20

@plipliop I can only knit stitch but then I can't cast off!! Haha. So I came back to crochet. I'm hoping it'll keep me going to for a few months.

mitzi2019 · 11/05/2019 15:24

@AstroKate @MrsH497 it's really reassuring to know it's not just me and I am hopefully it's just one of those weird things. Mine is pretty much only when I wipe and is light brown tinged discharge, though also had a couple of very tiny dark brown stringy bits once or twice. Sorry for tmi! I think I will try and go for an early scan in a week or so as the waiting is just too much. I have my sisters hen do and wedding next month then on hols for a week so I'm also really hoping I don't get bad news just before it all keeps off. Really glad I joined this thread though as I haven't spoken to anyone except my husband and he's as clueless as me Grin

plipliop · 11/05/2019 15:28

@McHelenz ha! It's just good to do something other than eat!

McHelenz · 11/05/2019 15:36

@plipliop and sleeping! I do feel guilty for wasting the days away but I wish 12 weeks would hurry.

mynameisMrG · 11/05/2019 15:42

Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations 😊

Lovely to see other crafters. I’m a quilter and have spent the last year making baby blankets and playmats for everyone else’s babies. Can’t wait to start one for my own 😊

MrsH497 · 11/05/2019 15:42

@mitzi2019 @AstroKate think I'll book an early scan for when I get home. I'm worrying every day of my holiday and I know I shouldn't.
Feel a bit rubbish today had an upset tummy don't know if I have a tummy ache because of that or am I now starting to read too much into everything.

Every time I wipe I'm checking to see what's there 🙁

plipliop · 11/05/2019 15:47

@mynameisMrG so exciting!
