Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

Is anyone getting an early scan? I'm very anxious after my MC but I don't know whether an early scan would help ease my mind.

Em1986 · 25/04/2019 16:31

@frillyfarmer I'm very tempted to get an early scan, had various problems early on with my first pregnancy which meant I had 3 early scans before my 12 week one so think for my own reassurance I may pay for one at around 7 or 8 weeks.

lottiec1 · 25/04/2019 17:16

Looks like I'm joining this club! Just found out baby number 2 is due 3rd January. So far only symptoms have been hot flushes and extreme thirst. Didn't have either last time xx

Izabelus · 25/04/2019 19:45

Hi!

I'd like to join too! My due date is 1/1/2020 (my first baby Smile) and I can't believe that I'm actually writing this. It still hasn't really sunk in yet. I guess it's still very early and we are lucky as it happened right away. Maybe that's why it's so hard to believe. So far I've noticed that I'm constantly hungry... I mean it's only 4w 2d but can definitely feel the hunger. I'm also anxious, scared of feeling sick. I think I have this phobia of vomiting, potentially in a public place... Have you started feeling any "morning" sickness?

Congratulations to you all!!

Oh, and I'm really happy for this support group, especially when you can feel quite lonely early days.

DaisyMay25 · 25/04/2019 21:00

@frillyfarmer I get one anyway, but if you do get one try and hold out til after seven weeks, any earlier and the heartbeat might not be detected

@Izabelus I have nausea all day long! No sick but awful nausea, they said they're not surprised with my level of hcg today though
I'm due the same date as you! Well until the scans when it all changes haha

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 25/04/2019 21:04

@frillyfarmer It might help you, even if it's just a few days of reassurance. I unfortunately had 2 MMCs before we finally ended up with our 'third time lucky' and we did pay for quite a few scans before our 12-week one with her. How are you feeling about everything? I know it can be quite hard to get your head into this current pregnancy after everything else.

If it helps, there's also a pregnancy after MC thread floating about which I found quite helpful last time

DaisyMay25 · 25/04/2019 21:09

@UnicornsandRainbows1 we was on the pregnancy after mc board a year ago, glad to see you finally got your rainbow baby, how exciting that you're in this position again!!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 25/04/2019 21:55

@DaisyMay25 Hi again, lovely! Smile Thank you so much, so happy that you're on here too. I have often thought about the penguin herd. Hoping everything goes smoothly for everyone here

leclarke91 · 25/04/2019 23:06

@Redorangeyellowgreen Oh wow, so baby #2 will be very close in age to DD, that’ll be nice when they’re playing!
I know what you mean! Who’d have thought acne and sore boobs could be such a good feeling 😂

leclarke91 · 25/04/2019 23:11

@frillyfarmer I think I am going to pay for an early scan but will try and hold off until about 7 or even 8 weeks pregnant, just so that there’s more to see/put my mind at ease.

leclarke91 · 25/04/2019 23:16

@Izabelus congratulations! You’re a week ahead of me, I’m 3 weeks and 2 days. You’re otherwise in the exact same boat as me. First baby and we were also lucky enough for it to happen straight away. Just hasn’t really sunk in that I’m pregnant yet!
No morning sickness yet, just sore boobs, acne and feeling a bit light headed.
Some people are really lucky and don’t get bad morning sickness. My friend didn’t vomit at all during her pregnancy. Hopefully you’ll be the same!

frillyfarmer · 26/04/2019 07:31

@UnicornsandRainbows1 I'm just over anxious this time. I was ridiculously naive with my first born as I had an early first trimester.

This time I'm just driving myself mad with thinking the same thing will happen again. I've been offered an early scan at 7/8 weeks due to my history but I don't know whether it will do anything to reassure me so early on.

The nausea is quite reassuring - I'm not actually sick but I get waves of dribbly mouth sick feeling which I haven't had in pregnancy before.

How are you getting on?

MrsBeds · 26/04/2019 08:34

I'm really tempted to get an early scan but it would literally be a week before my wedding so I'm scared of having bad news again before the big day :/ although I am feeling very nauseous and sleepy so all good signs!! :D

DaisyMay25 · 26/04/2019 09:02

@MrsBeds how far along would you be on your big day? I know what you mean about the nausea, as awful as it is I can't help but find comfort in it

MrsBeds · 26/04/2019 09:52

@DaisyMay25 I'll be 9 weeks exactly. And had 2 previous MMC at 9/10 weeks so in a real panic!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 26/04/2019 10:59

@frillyfarmer That's completely understandable! Hoping the weeks just fly by for you.

I'm okay, thank you. I naively thought that I would be a lot calmer this time round but I feel the exact same as I did before. And I have a cold Sad

Redorangeyellowgreen · 26/04/2019 19:50

I will get an early scan I think, around 8 weeks? I know that once there's a heartbeat the chances of miscarriage go down a lot (although don't disappear) and both my previous miscarriages were before that point.

@unicornsandrainbows1 I thought I would feel calmer this time round too! So much for that!

Instatwat · 26/04/2019 20:54

I’m going to get an early scan too. I’m aiming for 8 weeks so there’s more chance of finding a heartbeat. I had a few scans with my first two, too, and even when I lost my second at 21 weeks I was really grateful for the extra times I’d seen her and the pictures we had of her! Obviously I’m incredibly anxious this time around but very pleased to be here again Smile

Kinsters · 27/04/2019 07:15

Tentatively joining also! My edd is possibly 3rd January though I'm not really sure when I ovulated.

This is my 4th pregnancy (1 miscarriage at 9 weeks last year, a chemical last year and then another chemical a couple of months ago). So I'm not super hopeful at this one sticking!

I've booked an early scan on 18 May when I'll be 6-7 weeks.

MrsBeds that'll be so nice to have your baby at the wedding! Fingers crossed everything is smooth this time round.

plipliop · 27/04/2019 07:27

Hi everyone 👋
I'm 36 and due 7/1/20 with dc3.
I have 2 boys already and my youngest will be 10 when baby is due 🤭

I had a chemical last month so can't wait to get past AF (due on in 2 days).

Enjoyed reading all your stories. Fingers crossed for us all.

Symptoms:
One boob a bit sensitive and so thirsty!

I think I will tell my mum if I get past AF.
DH already knows.

Chantalle3 · 27/04/2019 08:04

@plipliop thanks for directing me over here!

First cycle of TTC and had convinced myself I wouldn't be able to get pregnant but looks like I'm joining too. EDD is 5th or 7th of Jan depending which site I use.

I think I've POAS daily since I found on Weds to make sure it's still there!

Symptoms: sensitive boobs and lots of weird sensations in my womb area (probably in my head), nauseous when I'm hungry - which I am (ravenous, in fact) every few hours! All psychological so early or is anyone else the same?

Chantalle3 · 27/04/2019 08:07

P.s. Huge Congratulations everyone I've read so far on here! Comforting to read I'm not the only one feeling so anxious. I've also booked an early scan as it feels like a long time till 10-12 weeks!

plipliop · 27/04/2019 08:07

I have been hungry too but I usually get more hungry around AF so not that unusual!

I only had one of test this month and am considering buying more but not sure if they are reassuring or not!

DaisyMay25 · 27/04/2019 08:13

@Chantalle3 they're not in your head! I have sore boobs, weird sensations too (but it's probably the progesterone pessaries) and nausea all day long!

I haven't tested since Wednesday but I had a blood test on Thursday and my levels were great although doesn't stop me panicking at every twinge.

I'm booked in for a scan 9th May when I'll be 6+1 then I think I get one three weeks later

Bayleyf · 27/04/2019 13:47

Checking in! I think I'm due on 4 Jan with #1, and I'm SO EXCITED!
