Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

@MonicaGellerHyphenBing I'm going to have a private 16 week scan to find out the sex. I'm far too impatient though!

Glittergirl2 · 14/05/2019 09:32

@MonicaGellerHyphenBing I'm really undecided, my partner wants to but says if I'm adamant I don't want to know then that's fine, my mums begging us not to find out she says it's lovely surprise to wait which I agree with but also think it would nice to know and be able to get a bit more organised xx

Missmonkeypenny · 14/05/2019 09:38

Monica we’ll be finding out. This last three years of trying to conceive and having IVF has been the hardest thing we’ve ever gone through and I need to know who the little person inside me is to make it more real - I don’t want to do any more waiting, neither does DH.

anitagreen · 14/05/2019 09:45

Hey can I join please? I'm 5weeks 5 days due January 8th 2020 Shock congratulations to everyone too.

Gorillaandme · 14/05/2019 09:46

I always wanted a girl and so found out with baby no1 and she was indeed a girl. This one I would like another girl but I'm not as bothered so was happy to have a surprise. My husband however can not wait so we will be finding out at 16 weeks 😊

BowiesJumper · 14/05/2019 09:53

Morning all!
I have been pondering having an early private scan, what sort of places do you all have them booked with?

@SleepingStandingUp @Cannyhandleit @Bentley111 @KMic
I'm also club 13!

We're not finding out the sex, we didn't with our first and it was a nice surprise! Although there is temptation...

MonicaGellerHyphenBing · 14/05/2019 09:58

I think we will more than likely crack and find out at 16 weeks. We had a private sexing scan at 16 weeks last time and it was an amazing experience. They won’t tell you the sex at my local hospital so have to go private if we want to know. I don’t have a preference this time but another girl would be very handy, we have a full wardrobe ready and waiting!

Gorillaandme · 14/05/2019 10:01

@MonicaGellerHyphenBing this is exactly why I'm hoping for another girl. We went a bit pink crazy last time and I really hope I can reuse all my daughters stuff 😆

Bentley111 · 14/05/2019 10:09

Welcome to Club 13 @BowiesJumper Grin

I don't want to find out the sex but I know DH does, so think as a compromise we will but keep it to ourselves and not tell anyone we know. I don't want tacky pink or blue crap taking up my house - would much prefer neutral colours - and I know people MIL will inevitably rock up with a 35 year old pram covered in mould because ITS PINK FOR YOUR LITTLE GIRL!!! Envy

Duebabynumbertwo · 14/05/2019 10:24

We’ll be finding out again this time.
I wanted a girl first time around so when we found out it was a boy at 16 weeks I was able to deal with the shock, fear etc and mentally prepare for him before he arrived. I now wouldn’t change him for the world so I’m honestly happy either way this time but it would be good to have a girl this time so I don’t have to go through pregnancy/birth again!!

KMic · 14/05/2019 10:25

Congratulations to the newbies! @Coconutlatte44 I had a MMC in Feb so totally know how you feel! I have everything crossed for this pregnancy! Although am more aware of what could happen so am trying to not get carried away! When did you find out about your MMC? For me it wasn't until the 12 week scan, and they think the heart stopped beating around 7-8 weeks ... so i'm definitely going to go for an early scan this time!!

I love that there are so many of us in club 13! I wonder if we will all still be in the same boat after the dating scan.

I have my first doctors apt on Monday when I will be 6+1. I'm going to mention the spotting I had last week and try and push for an early scan at the EPU - esp after what we had last time with the MMC. We're going away in a couple of weeks too, and I cant help but worry that the flight will affect things... I will double check with the doctor when I see him.

Still no MS or sore boobs my end, just the tiredness for me. Although I expect that will all change in the next couple of weeks as it did last time! I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts!!

mynameisMrG · 14/05/2019 10:57

Morning all! We are having an early scan at ten weeks as we are consultant led. We had a surprise with DS and we will have a surprise with this one too. I’d love a girl as we lost a girl last year but I’ve loved having a boy so I won’t be too disappointed if it’s another boy.

We have nearly filled up this thread! Shall we start a new one?

coconutlatte44 · 14/05/2019 11:28

Hi @KMic, thank you and congratulations to you! I found out at 8 weeks, but my situation was a little different as it was anembryonic - baby had stopped developing very early so by the time I went for a scan after I started spotting, there was nothing left to see but a sac. Traumatic for sure but of course after joining all the mc threads I'm aware there are much worse things to go though.

I'm feeling cautiously optimistic at the moment, although will be terrified of the scan when it's time.

Missmonkeypenny · 14/05/2019 11:29

Yes please to starting a new thread! I can’t believe how quickly this has filled up!

Puppymum · 14/05/2019 11:30

Hi all,
I'm having a wobbly day, which I'm sure is just hormones but anyway.
I've never had a successful pregnancy so I'm not sure what is OK and what's not. Since 2 days prior to AF was due I've had general lower abdo ache. It comes and goes sometimes but is there most of the time.

I have an early scan at 6+3 next week due to the ectopic last time. This pain is definitely not that pain.

Is ache OK?? Anyone else??

mynameisMrG · 14/05/2019 11:31

Ok I hope this works as I’ve not done it before!

BowiesJumper · 14/05/2019 11:41

@Puppymum it could be round ligament pain? I've already started getting that and I'm only 5 weeks. It's the ligaments stretching, it the lower abdomen area (sort of bottom of where the bump will be) and can often be a sharp pain if you sneeze or move quickly or something.

SleepingStandingUp · 14/05/2019 12:47

Yeah I think the general aching and sore, even sharp pains if they don't last long etc is just your body shifting. They're only sesame seed sized but they cause a lot of disruption.

I reckon baby is gonna come over New Year!!

Cannyhandleit · 14/05/2019 13:36

Wow lots of people in in club 13 😁 I think I will be having a planned section so will be earlier!

Puppymum · 14/05/2019 13:38

Thank you for your reassurance. Can't wait for this scan!!

Mumof4andahalf · 14/05/2019 16:26

Hi everyone
I joined the January baby thread and this links been shared.
Not 100 % on dates as I conceived outside of my 'fertile' week so could be due anywhere from 10th jan to 17th
First month of giving up and not using opks and here we are 🤷‍♀️
I had a blighted ovum in September and I'm old.....very old so this is most definately my last chance so I'm desperate for morning sickness! Last time I was exhausted but that was it and I feel the same now but I suppose it's still early days.
Hope you're all feeling well x

karryk · 14/05/2019 16:56

Hello ladies Smile hope everyone is well... I'm about 5w5d or thereabouts. Still no m/s - boobs are definitely bigger but not painful. Very hungry all of the time! Has anyone got mild symptoms at around the same stage? I haven't bothered calling the gp surgery yet as I'm waiting to see what happens in the next week or so...

Avocuddles · 14/05/2019 17:42

Hi @karryk I'm about the same as you (unsure because of irregular cycles but probably between 5+3 and 6+5) and haven't had many symptoms yet other than some cramping which has largely subsided now and slightly tender boobs. This is my first pregnancy, how about you?

Avocuddles · 14/05/2019 17:45

@BowiesJumper I've booked a private early scan (will be c8wks) at This Is My - our local branch is in Leeds but I think they have them in a few cities. We also considered Window to the Womb but they didn't have any availability on our preferred date
