Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

I’ve got one on the 23rd at 7 + 1 with the fertility clinic but if this wasn’t an IVF baby, I think we’d have booked an early one!

KMic · 09/05/2019 07:24

I'm going to try and get a NHS early scan due to previous MMC, but if I can't then I will definitely be booking one at around 8 weeks. Even though thjngs can always change its defo a little bit of reassurance. Xx

mynameisMrG · 09/05/2019 08:25

This was nice to see this morning Smile and I’m done testing now lol

I had some early scans with the last pregnancy but think I’ll hold off until ten weeks when I have my first nhs scan with this one.

@mynameisMrG always good to see that ☺️ I've got one left over for next week and then I'll be done too! X

KMic · 09/05/2019 08:48

How is a everyone abroad getting on today? Any more troubles? X

Maybenextmonth · 09/05/2019 09:04

Thanks for asking @KMic. Not good over here. I've been bleeding quite heavily since yesterday morning. Spoke to my consultant yesterday and he said if it's like a light period and lasts a few days it's more than likely loss of pregnancy. He's suggested doing a pregnancy test in a few days to see if it's negative and I'm then having a scan when I get back to confirm what is most likely a loss of pregnancy and to confirm all of it has gone. It completely sucks!

I'll probably unfollow these groups now but I wish you all the best with your pregnancies! Thanks for all your support over the last week or so. X

@Maybenextmonth so so sorry!

Aww the first scan! Congratulations @DaisyMay that’s lovely 😊

BowiesJumper · 09/05/2019 10:37

@DaisyMay25 so exciting! Congratulations!

SaffRW · 09/05/2019 11:18

Hi everyone. I have been following this post with interest over the last week and resisting posting as it all doesn’t seem very real to me at the moment! Hmm

I’m a first time mum, currently 5+3. Due around 16th Jan according to my app. No huge symptoms just a lot of bloating! And some cramps and bit of sore boobs.

I contacted my GP for an appt and they told me to contact midwife direct, who then told me to fill in a self referral form on maternity website. (Bit round the houses!) I did this on Tuesday and waiting to hear back for an appt... feeling very anxious and hoping will hear from someone soon. Very envious of those that have already got appts or scans booked in as I feel a bit in the dark on next steps....

It’s great reading all the posts and peoples stories, some great advice out there. Xx

Bunnylover84 · 09/05/2019 11:22

@maybenextmonth my thoughts are with you at this awful time. Thinking of you as you get through the rest of your holiday and then through the scans etc when you get back. Sending lots of love x
@DaisyMay25 Yay!! That’s so exciting! So happy for you. Any chance you can tell me what to expect from the scan?

Update: Gp was lovely today confirmed level was 1695 hcg from last Friday up from 703 on the weds. She doesn’t think it’s likely to be ectopic but due to my cramping and spotting she has decided to air on the side of caution and refer me to EPU for an early scan. She said they’ll most likely be in touch tomorrow. I feel like such an over the top worrier right now but at least the scan will show if things are as they should be at 6 weeks. Only thing is do they do a transvaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks? If so I’m worried this will make me spot more or harm the baby? Can someone please reassure me it’s okay! Thanks so much. Feel a bit all over the place today!

BowiesJumper · 09/05/2019 11:31

I had a transvaginal at 6 weeks last time yes. It's nowhere near the baby though so don't worry! It's just like a dildo and they put a condom with lube on it (am I making this sound fun enough?). It doesn't hurt and it didn't make me bleed more or anything.

Bentley111 · 09/05/2019 11:37

Hi Saffron Smile congrats on your bfp!

The first of hopefully many scan pics on this thread! Congrats Daisy, hope it's put your mind at ease a little more.

@Bunny exactly how Bowie described. Didn't hurt at all.

I MC'd last time at 8 weeks exactly. We had a scan at 6 + 5 that showed a heartbeat (although baby was very much on the small side, which I'm assuming was the problem) so think we will try to hold off the early scans until at least 8 weeks this time round so it's not so much of a deja vu. Personally not sure if I can hold out that long though.

Glittergirl2 · 09/05/2019 11:44

I wouldn't worry @SaffRW I have an appointment booked with the midwife but it isn't until 29th May. I think it depends on the area you live but booking in appointments are usually done between 8 - 10 weeks. They then arrange for your 12 week scan x

Anon120 · 09/05/2019 11:44

Hi ladies, I'm also trying to get registered with a midwife and have been sent round the houses. It's been a bit of a nightmare! Just wondering if anyone's symptoms seem to have subsided a bit.. I still have gas and tiredness but a lot of the others have just gone and it's starting to worry me...

Glittergirl2 · 09/05/2019 11:50

I'm the same @Anon120 I had light cramps and felt slightly sick the week I found out but now apart from slightly tender boobs I don't have anything. I've been reassured it's a good sign x

Anon120 · 09/05/2019 12:08

@Glittergirl2 thanks for the reassurance :) it's hard to not google, can't ask friends as haven't told them and haven't even got a midwife yet! Arghhh

Glittergirl2 · 09/05/2019 12:14

@Anon120 I had no idea the early weeks would be this stressful. I'm away next week and luckily the packing stress is keeping me away from google otherwise I think I'd have drove myself mad! Xx
