Is anyone else due in Jan 2020? My dates are a bit iffy 🤣 but I’m either due 30/12 or 2/1. Baby number 4 ( I swear we were stopping at 1). 🤣

@DaisyMay25 no the NT is just a scan (12 wk scan), so no risk, and they take all sorts of other measurements at that scan too. And they do blood tests from you at the same time. Then they send you your results and you can have further more invasive tests if anything is flagged as high risk. Unless she meant something else!

@MrsH497 I'm glad yours went to watery brown, I'd be happier with that. I've had quite a bit of blood, I've never really known how much 'spotting' is to be honest, but I would say it's more than that. I've needed to wear a proper pad today. Yeah I have flown, so I wondered if it was a change in altitude on the flight!?

Yeah I flew yesterday @Bunnylover84 so have a full week away. I would love to have my bloods done but I'll have to wait a week for it. The waiting game is tough isn't it!

I'm calmer than I would be because I'm away and have distractions. Also, my cramping is nothing compared to my last MC so figure it's different, although I really have no idea! Fingers crossed.

MrsH497 · 08/05/2019 15:00

@Maybenextmonth I wondered if flying affected everything. Keeping everything crossed for you. Where are you?

Maybenextmonth · 08/05/2019 15:09

Thanks @MrsH497 , I'm in Mallorca, so would rather not have to use the medical care if I can avoid it! How are you feeling now? Has the spotting slowed? Did you get much cramping with it?

KMic · 08/05/2019 15:28

@Maybenextmonth ... please keep us updated on how you are doing. I'm due to fly out to Majorca myself on the 29th and was concerned that the flight might affect things ... but everything I have read says to just keep hydrated and things should be fine. Crossing my fingers for you that things will settle down so you can relax and enjoy your break! It sounds like it's just a normal symptom that many people experience and not related to the flying itself which is definitely a positive thing ... :) xx

MrsH497 · 08/05/2019 15:48

@Maybenextmonth I'd had a bit anyway last week it wasn't even period pains I had yesterday. All seems to have slowed down today. I love Mallorca!

Realising at universal there's bugger all rides I can do! Everything says no for expectant mothers!

Avocuddles · 08/05/2019 19:04

@MrsH497 bless you a theme park holiday definitely not the best for a pregnant lady but hope it's lovely and sunny there so you can at least enjoy that whilst the others do the wild rides! Do you have any other activities planned besides the theme parks?

I ended up taking charge of our team away day today - others had started suggesting things such as paintballing or karting, neither of which I would assume would be advisable, so I offered to organise it and we're now doing a far more sedate treasure hunt! Also offered to drive so have an excuse for avoiding the drinks afterwards (I usually love my wine so would be a dead giveaway....). One of my team is leaving in a few weeks and has put some 'leaving drinks' in everyone's diaries, does anyone have good suggestions for how to get away with not drinking when you've got a reputation for enjoying a Prosecco or two (or four, or six...)? I'm veering towards making an excuse and not going at the moment.

Avocuddles · 08/05/2019 19:05

@Maybenextmonth hope all is ok and you manage to get some relaxing time whilst you're in Majorca x

MrsH497 · 08/05/2019 19:41

@Avocuddles it's lovely and sunny so I'm enjoying the sun whilst hubby does the thrill rides. Disney is better it's more gentle there's more bits I can do universal it's a bit all thrill rides which isn't great. After yesterday and spotting I daren't risk going on any that say advised against for expectant mothers. Found a cheap IC in my bag so did that this morning darker than my first IC one x

@Avocuddles last pregnancy for me was during the festive period! I struggled!! But when I was out, I had a word with a specific bar man and had 'mocktails' made up without anyone knowing! So it looked like I was drinking cocktails! ... there's always anti biotics excuse too ... but it's an easy guess if people know you are TTC

BowiesJumper · 08/05/2019 19:48

@Avocuddles I would go but have one drink in a glass and just nurse it all night, or pretend I’m drinking vodka and lemonade but it just be lemonade etc.

How early is too early for using a “baby on board” badge on the tube to get a seat.
asking for a friend... who’s still got their one from last time. Blush

Chantalle3 · 08/05/2019 20:07

Haha @Bowiesjumper I stared enviously at a woman's badge tonight on the tube and wondered how early is socially acceptable! 🤔

CatRash · 08/05/2019 20:09

@Avocuddles getting up early and needing to drive the following morning is always a good excuse (assuming you're not in work the following day of course!).

Aim2302 · 08/05/2019 20:12

Hi everyone! I'm 5 weeks pregnant today and have sore nipples, extreme tiredness, headaches on and off and keep burping up sick 😣🙈 my expected due date is 8/01/20! I would love to be added to the private Facebook group but I'm not sure how to private message you my email address @victoriaaaaaa xx

Cherrio · 08/05/2019 20:25

Hello, please can I join in?Smile I'm 6+1 and due 1st Jan. (Just made it!) This sounds like a 'stealth brag' but I'm slightly worried as I literally have no symptoms whatsoever. Last week, I had one day of feeling sick with a headache, then... nothing since. I did a second test at the weekend and had a strong line so that helped reassure me a little!

KMic · 08/05/2019 20:31

Hi @Cherrio ... I would enjoy the lack of symptoms whilst it lasts!! They tend to hit more around week 7/8 ... although some women don't really have any at all!! ... I had strong symptoms with my last pregnancy that ended up being a MMC so I really wouldn't take no symptoms as a bad sign, but that everyone is different 😁 - hope that helps ease your mind a bit xx

Izabelus · 08/05/2019 20:36

@Cherrio Hello!! I'm also due on 1st January :) And no symptoms... did a test too and it all looks fine... my mum didn't have any symptoms with two of her pregnancies which reassured me :) we will be fine Smile

Cherrio · 08/05/2019 20:51

@KMic and @Izabelus congratulations and thank you so much - that's really reassuring and I really will try and enjoy it! I have remembered why googling is never a good idea....!no symptoms does make it all a bit surreal but I'm not complaining anymore Smile

Cherrio · 08/05/2019 20:56

Just realised - I do have one symptom. Extremely vivid, bizarre dreams (quite disturbing at times). Like nothing I've ever known - I wake up relieved to find i was dreaming! Anyone else?

Avocuddles · 08/05/2019 21:54

Thanks everyone for the tips! Think I'll pop along to the leaving do but then find an excuse to have to leave early on, preferably one that involves driving!

Hi @Cherrio @Izabelus and @Aim2302 and welcome to the club!

Seahawk80 · 08/05/2019 21:58

@BowiesJumper I've been thinking the same thing! I've still got mine randomly in my jewellery box! I don't know why I haven't used it - guess it still doesn't feel real!

Seahawk80 · 08/05/2019 22:00

Oh and welcome and congratulations to everyone new!

Duebabynumbertwo · 09/05/2019 06:49

Is anyone booking an early reassurance scan? I can’t decide whether to book one around 8 weeks or just have the nervous wait till my 12 week scan?
We had one with my first child and it was so reassuring to see a strong heartbeat after having a miscarriage before. 🤔

Chantalle3 · 09/05/2019 06:54

@duebabynumbertwo I have booked one for 7 weeks as didn't think I could wait till 12. Its first baby so I'm always thinking the worst. Plus, theres twins in the family and I've had morning sickness since 4+4 and sore boobs since 3+4 so we think it's worth an early check!

Seahawk80 · 09/05/2019 07:11

@Duebabynumbertwo I've decided to book one as it breaks up the wait. Also we have a holiday booked when I'm 10 weeks and it would be nice to either know that all looks good or if it's not we have some time to relax and deal with the bad news. Just deciding whether to have one 2 days before we go so that i know things are as good as can be just before we go, or a week before so that I can go to hospital etc if it's bad news.
