Hi all,

Kiansmum -hi I'm 31,an ex teacher who is at home with my ds -3. I am due officially 5th nov but have to see consultant to see if dates should be bought forward to 22nd oct ( my birthday!!) as baby is too big for dates.

I took ds to nursery and then SLEPT till 2.30, just in time to go and pick him up

Redeemed myself since though as took him on a bike ride as not actually rainning and took the dogs with me. We came back and made pancakes as is his favourite -with lemon juice, sugar and toffee sauce. Will definately be pinning him down to clean his teeth tonight!

I have loads of the mixture left -does anyone know if it will keep till tomorrow? It has raw eggs, milk, flour + butter. I have put it in an airtight container and would use it for breakfast..

My Parents in law are fantastic. FIL cuts the grasss each week and when DD was in school MIL came over every friday morning to help me with the housework. They love having her and they just love her to bits, as she does them.

j20baby · 27/07/2007 20:32

Hi all

Had a nice day at the beach for a couple of hours, it was very windy and I think I got sandburn, but at least I?ve got a bit of colour

Was meant to go out tonight, but I?m so tired, I?m giving it a miss.

Phebee-just an idea, can you not get a copy of all your notes and keep them with you? then at least you'll be prepared.

Kiansmum-welcome sorry to hear about your SPD

Lisa-I didn?t realise how bad it was for you, in a wheelchair and using crutches, I know a few people on here have SPD, I can only sympathise, its puts my backache into perspective.

Apricot-its certainly going to be a shock to the system no longer being able to have lie ins, and even when you do get the chance, its so hard laying in bed when you know you?ve got loads to do! At the moment I have it quite easy because dd has her dad and paternal grandparents to have her overnight, this one will have no other family Re; the wallpapering, I wouldn?t let him lose with a paintbrush let alone my wallpaper! Its one thing I want to do myself, even if it?s 1 piece a day, am too fussy if anyone got it wrong

Mrsfish-have a lovely holiday

Winnie and FT-have a nice evening (hope your not going to see Harry Potter, enough drooling has been done over him on here )

Muppet-sounds like you?ve had a nice day, I?m having to have a nap every day now, the exhaustion takes over!

Mump-thanks for finding the stats thread, I think a lot of the dates ave changed now, I?m due the 3 Oct now, haven?t heard from a few of the other ladies for a while, hope there all ok, kezza used to be on quite a lot.

am feeling slightly miffed, well actually very pi**ed off, was meant to be going on a birthday night out next sat, my friends cousin, but apparantly i am not invited because i am pg, she has used various excuses, like they wont serve pg woman(err who said i'd be drinking and wouldn't have thought they'd be allowed to not serve me anyway!) and that i wont be able to keep up with them all(i'm a big girl, and quite capable of judging my own limits!) but i think she just wants all the attention on herself for her birthday, but its not like i'm the type of person to take over, don't really understand as she gave me the cot and other baby stuff so don't know why she's suddenly taken a dislike to me, but i'll get over it i suppose.

hi to everyone else, sorry if i've missed anyone

Hello, first time on the antenatal thread, I have been for a scan today and my due date has been moved from 26th October to the 30th October. I thought I was 28 weeks pregnant today ( going off original date and dates given throughout pregnancy and scans etc ) but the midwife said that going off the new date I am 26 + 4. I have worked it out on the calender, web calculators and the midwifes calculations and they all give slightly different answers. Anyone else due 30/10/2007 and know how many weeks pregnant they are?!! Sorry if this sounds stupid!

j20baby · 27/07/2007 21:00

hi ale well i'm 30+2 today and due 3 Oct so by my reckoning you will be 27 weeks on tue so.....26+4 today is right, i think

OP posts:
ale233 · 27/07/2007 21:09

thanks, it just seems like im going backwards now! I already feel like Ive been pregnant for ever!

j20baby · 27/07/2007 21:15

i don't think they can change your dates wuthout your cosent, maybe you should insist it stays the same, mine went forward by 6 days, was quite chuffed

other people on here are having probs with dates, maybe they will be better help to you

OP posts:
ale233 · 27/07/2007 21:53

It really bothered me today but i suppose the baby is going to come when it chooses, whatever due date they give me. I just dont like having to do week 27 all over again!

j20baby · 27/07/2007 22:09

I know exactly what you mean! i've just got to 30 weeks and it feels like i've been pg forever!

morning all!!

hows everyone today?

its gorgeous and sunny here atm,and im happy!!!its dd's 3rd birthday party today and usually it pees it down!!so for once the kids can enjoy her party and not get wet!

going to argos soon for them opening so i can grab a new catalogue!!(housey things are calling!!!)and got to pop in tesco for bbq things.

am feeling so much more positive about everything now, especially as things have settled down.dreading the gtt on monday (got another scan to check for any more water loss)

am constantly starving now,so think maybe lo is having a growth spurt.

also having the runs quite a bit but putting that down to the ibs and not being too careful on what im eating (although ive still stuck to no dairy at all)

still not heard from teh physio about my spd,and getting very peeved about it now.no doubt they'll send me the appointment the day i have baby!seeing mw on wednesday so going to have a moan to her about it.rang them on thursday and the mw i spoke to got snotty saying "we sent the referral, its down to the physio as to if and when she sees you".that doesnt mean shite to em atm when im in agony when i move!(dh thinks it hilarious that i had to shout him to help me put my knickers on the other morning as i couldnt lift my legs and bending down when i was sat didnt work either!)

anyway, moaning over, its too much of a nice day to moan!!!ooooohhhhad housing spring a visit on us yesterday to check our house for any work that needs doing before we move (its only 5 years old,so its just re-painting the kids rooms that needs doing!)and she said our house will be finished on the 10th september!!!!can you guess how excited i am?!!

i just cannot wait to move now!had probs with a little girl near us,the day dh rushed me into hospital, his dad noticed a plank of wood wedged under our tyres,he pulled it out an dit was ful of nails!if we had just walked round our car and got in,we wouldnt have seen it.this little girl went upto dd at school that day laughing and said "did your dad get two flat tyres then?!!"dh rang the housing but the woman in charge of our estate wasnt there until wednesday this week.anyway, when she came we told her about this and the fact that this 7 year old girl had also scratched our car, thrown rubbish into our graden and told us to f off,p off and that we were all w*nkers!!if my 7 year old said things like that id throttle him!!but her mum just couldnt care less.i told her once about her lo throwing stones at my windows and all i got was abuse.so you see where her dd gets it from!anyway, told the hosuing yesterday and she said we shouldve rang the police about teh car,but we didnt.shes going to pay them a visit as her behaviour isnt on.we were jsut going to leave it us moving, but i thought no sod it,if it was one of my kids doing all this tehy'd have reported them.so lets hope they do do something.shes a little tearaway this little girl.

so thats another good reason to move!!

right,definatelt whinge over!!!

hope you all have a great day!!!will save you all some fifi and teh flowertot cake!!!!

kiansmum · 28/07/2007 16:54

Hi all,
We got to Plymouth in the end yesterday after being stuck in traffic for a while.
Why is it that when stuck in traffic and pregnant the baby always decides to headspin on your bladder?!?! Put it this way it was lucky i didn't sneeze!!!
Hi muppetgirl, Winniethepooh J20Baby.
J20Baby you're due the day after me so we could be in pain together! Lets hope the pain doesn't last too long!
Hope you're all ok. Off to get my eyebrows waxed now! Gotta do something to help my appearance, i feel like a great big huge blob! Back later.

FloriaTosca · 28/07/2007 22:44

Good Evening All!
After 2 days of manic movement (feet and elbows sticking out everywhere almost all day) LO seems to have changed position .. I think the little blighter has got itself transverse and made life for me very uncomfortable.... my MIL saw me and said "OMG you've doubled in size in 2 days!" Today he/she is very quiet, just the occasional fidget..probably exhausted him/herself! I just hope he/she gets him/herself back into the right position and lets me go back to a more normal shape soon...this position seems to be making the indigestion ten times worse than normal and though I want to go to the loo all the time I'm only getting rid of a tiny trickle at a time!(sympathy to Kiansmum stuck in the traffic!)And as for walking any distance..!
Hope those who got some sunshine today managed to enjoy it

FloriaTosca · 29/07/2007 11:56

HELLOOOOO!!!!!!!
Its a bit quiet here today...is everybody out enjoying the sunshine?
LO is still making me feel very sick so I'm resting yet again and watching poor Dh do the lawn.
Off to Mums for the afternoon so probably wont pop in again until tomorrow...hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

alicet · 29/07/2007 13:11

OMG can you lot chat! Doing my best to catch up properly but please forgive me if I miss anyone out or misread stuff!!!

Lisa ? sorry to hear that your mw appt didn?t go so well. I know it will be a worrying 2 weeks for you but I guess they would see you sooner if they were more worried. Just take care of yourself and go back earlier if you are worried about ANYTHING however small?
Have read your update too on misdee and Pater ? will be thinking of them (and you) at this worrying time. Really really hope he gets the new heart he so desperately needs. Please pass on my best wishes if appropriate ? I don?t know misdee but have been following what has been going on and desperately hope that there is a happy outcome.

Floria ? I?m so so happy that your dh has agreed to cancel the amnio!! I?ve been thinking of you a lot the last 2 days and hoping that that had happened. Almost crying tears of relief for you! So if I feel like that can only imagine how terribly relievd and happy you are feeling. Fantastic news xxx
Never mind what your family feels either. You and dh have thought long and hard about this and to be honest it is not up to them. Sorry to hear they won?t be behind you on this one but tough!

Pheebe ? sorry to hear of your bustup with dh about the new hospital. Hope you can get through it OK (sure you can) and start to plan for your lo?s birth now you know where it will be?

Muppet ? glad to hear you are feeling a lot better in yourself. Sorry to hear about insensitive MIL but glad you have the reprieve!!! Glad to hear swimming went well too! We took ds yesterday and he was absolutely LOVING it which is great as he?s seemed less confident the last couple of times?

Pheebe / Floria ? I go along with the fact that I am a very different person away from work and also since I had ds. Was a dynamic go getting career girl before ds ? since I have had him although I love my job and still work as hard as I can when I?m there it?s just not as important as my family now. I have turned into a right softy! Probably its actually made me better with my patients which can only be a good thing I feel though so not that bad really. And I think I like the person I have become more.

Kiansmum ? welcome!!! Sory to hear about the probs you?ve been having ? you will find lots of support here as we have had all manner of complications between us! My boss had an 11 month age gap between his 2 soms and while he said it was hard work it got easier quicker as they were very close.

J20 ? sounds like your friend is being a bit strange. What a funny lot of comments to come out with as an excuse for you not to come out! Is it worth trying to talk to her about it? Maybe she is just genuinely worried for you and doesn?t want you to feel you have to come? A bit odd though! Hope you manage to make it up

Ale233 ? welcome too!

Buffy ? very excited on your behalf about house move! Particularly as you have sich nightmare neighbours ? sure that?s one thing you won?t miss. Fingers crossed for GTT and scan on Monday?

alicet · 29/07/2007 13:13

Think thats the longest post I have ever written! That will teach me to go awol for 2 days!

Well we had a fab time at the wedding on Friday. There were loads of people I hadn't seen for years so it was lovely catching up! Really funny to see all the people I used to get p*ssed with at uni now responsible parents!!!

And yesterday ended up sleeping for 3 hours at lunchtime and still early to bed in the evening. Even though we left quite early from the wedding! So not really time to catch up on here.... Will not leave it so long again or I will have to take a day off work to catch up!

Hope all the rest of you are well and enjoying the lovely weather of this weekend - that is if its nice where you are too of course!

alicet · 29/07/2007 13:14

Floria sorry to hear you're feeling sick - me too. Not so bad this weekend but wasn't great last week. Fingers crossed its just a blip and not here for the duration!

ejt1764 · 29/07/2007 15:46

Hi all ... back from holiday (it was FAB!) ... anybody fancy doing me a synopsis?

love to all

MrsFish · 29/07/2007 16:05

Who wants a good laugh at the expense of a pregnant woman (blaming hormones)

Buffy - glad you have a moving date sorted

Floria - I seem to have doubled in size in the past week too, not sure if lo's position has changed but I definitely look a lot bigger.

alicet · 29/07/2007 16:08

MrsFish - I could do with a good laugh!! thought you were away too?

ejt - glad you had a fab holiday. Sorry - baby brain prevents me doing a synopsis - maybe Floria will be about later as she did a good job last time! Big news that I can remember though is that her dh has decided to back down on the amnio so it's cancelled!

MrsFish · 29/07/2007 16:29

I thought I was away too...

Packed the car up, took us 8 hours to get to destination as the traffic on the M5 was so bad, tried to book in, only to be told we were a week early

I am a totally dozy cow, and had written the dates down wrong on my calendar, and went by them instead of double checking the paperwork. They were fully booked for this week so couldn't change our dates, and we couldn't cancel and get our money back, so are having to do the whole trip again next saturday. They managed to find us a room for last night (luckily) but we have driven all the way back home this morning. At least it only took us 5 hours (inc stoppages) on the way back.

Luckily I have a very laid back and understanding DH, we had a good laugh about it eventually, had a good meal and a drink (I needed it) DS was an absolute angel seeing as he was in the car for so long, I am incredibly lucky. Just hope next weeks journey isn't as long. We have decided this week was just a practice run.

On the brighter side, I forgot to pack quite a few bits and bobs, and we overpacked other stuff, so we can cut the luggage down next week. Also on the way down I started sneezing and by the time we got there I had come down with a stinking headcold, which has made me feel crap, so at least I can get over that this week, and be better for next week, as I really have less energy than usual and it wouldn't have been as good fun if I was knackered all the time. Also the weather is supposed to be better next week, as it was pouring with rain when we got there yesterday. We are also known at the resort now and provided the staff with a good laugh, so they will remember us for next week.

All in all, I feel a complete muppet and the journey is crap but next week I'll be more prepared. Just hope ds is as good next week

ejt1764 · 29/07/2007 17:08

oh MrsFish ...

alice - thanks for the news on Floria - that must be such a relief!

I was going down with a headcold over the past 2 days, and it has hit me like a ton of bricks since we've arrived home.

bleugh ... can't even take any sudafed (my usual cold remedy of choice, coupled with paracetemol!) boo!

alicet · 29/07/2007 17:31

MrsFish that is very amusing!!! Good to hear you were able to see the funny side - not sure I would have after an 8 hour drive!! Not sure ds would have been as well behaved as your lo either!

Here's hoping you have a great time next week!

alicet · 29/07/2007 17:32

ejt and mrsfish - hope you both feel better soon too...
