have googled it and its a blood clotting disorder and causes preterm labours, so there you go, they have found out what caused my previous preterm labours!!!

sparklygothkat · 28/07/2007 21:38

meant to say that baby was sitting with his back against the front of my stomach until last night, when he decided to twist around, OMG it hurt, made me feel sick, and triggered a few BH... hope he doesn't do it again.

RGPargy · 28/07/2007 23:01

silkcushion · 29/07/2007 22:46

Hello MissMolly and SeaBiscuit. Welcome

I'm in agony - really bad back ache over the last 2/3 days. Any ideas anyone?

Think maybe it's the way I am standing/walking. Bump has suddenly got huge!!!!! Centre of gravity has shifted and I seem to be sticking my bottom out

Also suddenly can't feel LO as much. Was very active previous few weeks. Now just occasional squiggles.

RGPargy · 30/07/2007 12:09

Sorry you're having trouble with your back, silkcushion Dont have any suggestions i'm afraid

I know what you mean about not feeling movement! I've had nothing but wiggles for practically the entire pregnancy! Thankfully tho, since Thursday i seem to be feeling lots more movement and have felt definite kicks (one massive, a few small ones) so i know she's in there somewhere!

Dont worry tho, your LO will be kicking you again in no time, once your uterus has caught up with growing to match your LO's needs.

GoodGollyMissMolly · 30/07/2007 14:31

Hiya Ladies,
Thanks for the welcomes.

Silkcussion, I know what you are going through re the back pain. I am the same at the mo.
I find if I lay on my side with a pillow between my knees it helps to align my back and the pain isn't as bad as normal.
HTH

I have been to the MW this morning (I'm 25 eeks today) and baby bump is fine but is in breech position, she said not to worry about it at this point though.

Pixiefish · 30/07/2007 14:39

36 of us now.
7 little girls
1 probably a girl
11 little boys
13 surprises
3 secrets
1 German gal hasn't updated.

RGPargy · 30/07/2007 14:50

36??? bloody hell! Didn't realise November was such a popular month!!

FCH · 30/07/2007 15:12

Well, I'm blaming Valentine's day...

Hope you all had a good weekend. Brilliant news about water supplies being partially reinstated - and the sun is shining here today. Even bettter DH is suddenly happy because we actually got a day out in the boat this weekend so it hasn't been a total waste of money this year!

Not much else going on here except that I do have pretty bad discomfort around the bottom of my ribcage at the back and across my bump. It goes away once I've been up for a bit but is starting to annoy me!

Anyone else or is this wierd?

Fingerbobs · 30/07/2007 15:14

Silkcushion, so sorry you're in pain. Try (if you can, and many people shriek with laughter when I say this with reference to me and my enormobum) not to stick your bum out but to consciously tuck it under - I found back pain did get a bit better when I did that. If you can find/afford a chiropractor, I went to one and it was HEAVEN and completely fixed my back. She also gave me various exercises to strengthen my back and stomach - some of which I've even done - to try to give a bit more support.
I know what you mean about the movement, too - last week I was practically leaping out of my chair because of thumping great kicks and this week it seems to have calmed down a lot. Am hoping it's just moved around, or something....

FCH · 30/07/2007 15:14

Sorry - that should say discomfort when I get up in the morning. I don't really get it at any other time of day.

Pixiefish · 30/07/2007 17:49

lol at valentine's day fch- true though isn't it- mind you we were slightly earlier than valentine's day

hi silkcushion, sorry to hear of the back pain. in london ive been going to the British School of Osteopathy practically since i was 16 weeks pg as i had agonising lower back pain. there's a special clinic for expectant mothers once a week and its been really great. i know youre not in london but i thought if there is such a thing as osteopathy for pregnancy you might be able to find someone near you who does it...

general note for others too- i was suffering from acid reflux, as i had that even before i was pg, and the osteopath does this special move on your upper vertebrae which prevents it recurring.. its worth telling people about cos i know my GP would never have told me that osteopaths can treat acid reflux- he just prescribed me drugs
