what was it for?
maddest pregnant woman ever??

ladylush · 19/07/2007 16:11

No - just maddest woman ever Actually can't take the credit for a good memory - she told me yesterday

MrsMcJnr · 19/07/2007 16:56

Ladies I?ll be AWOL for a few days, wedding tomorrow and Sat ? just in case you miss me!

katyt1 · 19/07/2007 18:49

hi all not been on in a while so out of touch.
congrats on graduation awen
congrats too on all successful scans so far this week - still no twins...

err, i have my scan tomorrow

going through all the usual worries, why have i told anyone, what if nothing's there, etc.
plus what if there are twins?! only kidding, not much chance of it but you never know...

it's at 9.30 so hope they won't be running too far behind by then, will come back and let you all know afterwards.

a friend is having a planned c-section tomorrow, we are betting on a boy as her 3yr old ds says so - it's called george apparently!

right, ds in bed, neck aching where i slept funny last night can hardly move, any ideas for deep heat alternatives????, must get on with something!
been mat shopping today in lakeside, bought far too many tops and no bottoms as couldn't face trying things on with ds there, doh.

how is everyone today? will have a look at chart to see where we must all be in weeks, who's first? 16 weeks? or more?
i'm 12+4 i think/hope.

barristermum · 19/07/2007 19:35

Hi all - can't get over Naetha and Mrs McJnr's inlaws - extraordinary! My dh is an orphan and I begin to see how lucky I am!
Well done Awen - sounds fabulous and as tho' you looked properly blooming.
Beckyau - as MrsMc says - pg NOT fat. I am vast girl myself and have decided to try and be zen - this is one time when I can feel utterly un-guilty about whatever I eat as i am but a vessel!
Am now feeling sorry for self- we go on holiday on Sat which desperately need but have so much work to do and finished in court so unexpectedly late that I am now in chambers working and to top it all I have streaming cold and am sneezing every 15 secs - wretched, wretched, wretched! Atchoo!

LilyLoo · 19/07/2007 21:59

Congrats on graduation Awen, did the safety pin tip help ?
Managed to order loads of stuff off next sale last night so no money for shopping for a while. We don't have a formes anyway Mrsmcj but will look out for one when i go into Manchester.

What a shame about your inlaws girls i have to say i'm lucky with mine they lovely, we actually normally go away with them.

gingeme · 20/07/2007 10:37

Good morning ladies. Havnt scanned through the thread yet. Just popping in to hope all is well with you all. Good luck with all the scans. Im knackered my ds3 is still waking at 6 because he is so excited to have his big brothers here. They however arent so excited about getting up at 6am.
Jeans are deffo getting tighter now. Bought myself some elasticated bottoms yesterday ah its like putting my jammys on.
Won some white baby bits on Ebay yesterday. No more now till my 20 week scan because if this is a pink bean my friend has lots of pink stuff to pass on.
Have a good day xxx

nicky6 · 20/07/2007 10:49

well its official i dont have a virus i have a litttle skelton type thing inside.

scan yesterday am exactly 12+4 as they had originally said. DH was sooo nervous very sweet.

Scan took about 3 hours in the end as it was asleep and not prepared to wake up no matter how hard it was poked and provoked. They tried everything drinking fizzy drinks me jumping up and down like an idiot, even had a vaginal internal scan - very good clear pictures from that. Anyway after another bottle of coke it decided to move and all the tests could be done , nuchal etc all absolutely brilliant, - although am 35 they said i had the lowest risk i could get with these combine tests and it put me down to the category as if i was 15 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very pleased with myself - so eventually left about 8.45 pm appointment was 5.40. BUt those at kings were super and it did mean i got a very long look at the sleepng one.

Midwife said i had a naughty baby - i thought please may this sleeping and not wishing to be woken up last a very long time indeed until about 2 years old i thought.

And actually got to tell my family which was lovely
Good luck with other scans

Naetha · 20/07/2007 11:19

Nicky6 congratulations on your great scan - you're so lucky to have got some great looks of your bean Let's just hope the whole sleeping through stuff carries on! I'm hoping that my LO takes after me - I slept through the night from about 4 weeks, and slept pretty much non-stop until I went to school! I even managed to sleep through a massive earthquake! As for sleeping now - I don't have any trouble getting to sleep but if you're having trouble sleeping because you're uncomfortable, get about 6 pillows and arrange them around yourself until you're comfy

BeckyAu - we've just moved in (well, 3 months ago) and one of the best thigns we did before moving out was to get a skip. It cost about £80 for a 4yd3 skip and was great for getting rid of all our tat and furniture we didn't want. You'd be surprised how cathartic it is to get rid of it all I'd recommend going through it all as early as possible - you always have less time than you think!

I have a confession to make with the whole weight gain thing. I've actually lost about 8lbs since I got pregnant . I think part of this is due to the gall bladder thing, which meant I couldn't eat fatty food, but also the fact that my appetite has dropped completely (even now I'm not getting as much MS) and the food I want to eat is generally pretty healthy (no chocolates or anything sweet). Having said that, yesterday I went out with my Dad for the day and I had a big plate of scampi and chips for lunch then a HUGE curry in the evening! It was gorgeous! I've probably jinxed myself now and put on 5 stone in the rest of my pregnancy!

Welcome to the club Horsygirl I'm guessing by your name that you're a bit keen on horses - are you still riding through pregnancy? I was really tempted to go on my motorbike again the other day, but again the hormones just wouldn't let me

And best of luck with the scan today Katyt - let us know how it goes - we're still waiting for twins!

katyt1 · 20/07/2007 11:22

my scan went well too, big sigh of relief.

not as long as yours nicky, in and out on the scanning bit, just lots of sitting around waiting before seeing m/w.
given new edd of 22nd jan, so that moves me up the list a bit , hate being near the end!

right, got to make phone calls to grandmothers before they phone me!

hope everyone is drier than me in soaking southend!

Angechica · 20/07/2007 12:02

Not doing to well on the sleep either Spud01!

Not watching or reading anything disturbing, having a long bath and some hot choc or ovaltine helps.

Not drinking too much water near bedtime otherwise at least 2 nocturnal trips to the bathroom follows (and we have a downstairs bathroom, curses! )

Beware of herbal things that have valerian such as Kalms, we apparently should not take if PG though I know not why!?

barristermum · 20/07/2007 17:46

Hi girls - am taking my stinking cols away on holiday with me. Will be in Ireland for a week so take care of yourselves and beannies while I am gone and don't yatter too much or I'll never catch up!

ladylush · 20/07/2007 21:50

katyt1 · 21/07/2007 11:01

Hi everyone, reposting chart as my date changed, have tried to put people in order as a few other dates had changed too, and tried to 'tidy' list up a bit - is this nesting kicking in already or just my anal tendencies revealing themselves?! - as i was finding it hard to read all the different entries.

Hi Ladylush - hope you ok

lol @ katy

My eyes are soo itchy and dry.. arggh. Def not hayfever. DP coming home today Ds went to his dads last night, missing him lots. Ds not a happy bunny about baby atm.

Still in my pj's here and feel very lazy. Had weird baby dreams last night. Dreamt that I fell pregnant again, whilt pregnant with this one. So had 2 babies growing at different gestations!

gingeme · 21/07/2007 11:50

OOh love weird dreams.
Happy holiday Brristermum hope you get plenty of rest.
Its now official I can no longer wear normal jeans Im 15 weeks today. Cant believe how fast its going.
Got a bundle of 23 0-3 baby vests off Ebay today. Cost me £2.99 in all. Bargain.
Luckily trips to the loo at night is down to one now about 4am which is brill. I remember falling asleep on the loo with my last pg. Apparantly I was there for about 15 mins as dh got up to see if I was ok. Which is realt weird for him as he sleeps through anything
Going to the cinema later with my big boys and to Burger King after. Yummy cant wait.
Have a good weekend all xxx

ladylush · 21/07/2007 12:17

Last week ds (3) announced to dh and I that he has two babies in his tummy - one called Harry and one called Noah. Trying to be serious we replied that we couldn't see them. He looked at us as if we were really thick and said "no you can't cos they're on the other side" which we later realised meant inside his tummy. Has anyone elses little uns announced a pg or is this unique to my child?!

RavenclAwen · 21/07/2007 13:39

ladylush - ds(7) has said he is pregnant too

toomanyshoes · 21/07/2007 14:24

My DD (2) says she is having a baby too! Keeps telling me to 'be careful' if I kiss her tummy
Hope you are all having lovely weekends

Cazzybaby · 21/07/2007 16:22

Hiya Everyone

I have been lurking around for a while, and would love to join you all.

I am due to have m first baby on 22nd Jan, and am very excited, nervous and absolutely petrified about the birth!!

Would be great to have some new friends to talk to whilst going through this.

Hope everyone is well, and managing to stay dry (have you ever seen waether like this)??

xxx

Naetha · 21/07/2007 17:17

I think my husband may have a baby in his tummy, but nobody else in my family yet

Welcome to the club Cazzybaby I'm a first timer here too and starting to get rather excited I'm not at all broody or gooey over baby stuff though. Went into town with DH, our friend and friend's girlfriend - she kept on thrusting babygros under my nose in places like Next and pointing out pushchairs she likes to me - I have no interest in this sort of thing yet!

Just had a fabulous peanut butter and jam sandwich - so good I'm going to have to have another right away
