I was wondering (since I am clearly so bored) that all these Mnetters that do meet ups do they call each other by their real names or their nicknames when they meet in the flesh.

beller · 15/08/2007 13:59

Lillyloo- this was M+S that told me that and where i bought the bra's !
Mixedmamma - i am in the middle of doing 2 business plans, one for a term time nursery and one for full day care. My idea at the moment would be to do term time and maybe expand in time? Have to see if its viable though!
I keep in touch with some girls i met on a website when i got married, we started a whole different site andhave now ben friends for 7 years! I am godmother to my friends son! Was weird meeting up at first, but now do it all the time, and live all over the country! (did feel weird and geeky at first i suppose! )

Motherofz - whey not at this time of life? How long owuld it take to qualify?

MotherofZ · 15/08/2007 14:00

I suppose to begin with they will introduce themselves by thier MN name and them ask real names.
Has anyone joined MN on FACEBOOK? Got pictures and more info on MN members there.

beller · 15/08/2007 14:01

really should slow down when i type...spelling...humph!

mixedmama · 15/08/2007 14:01

Really - didnt know about that MotherofZ... getting very excited about wasting more of my day.

beller · 15/08/2007 14:05

embarassing question time....
do any of you get a real sharp stabbing pain low at the front of your tummy when you need a number 2?

Bettymamma · 15/08/2007 14:05

MN on facebook!! - well thats my work productivity levels gone out the window. I interchange between facebook and MN all day.

I'd get really confused if we used real names and not nicknames. I get easily confused at the best of times.

Just had lunch at V&A museum - There were about 50 mums there with very young babies. Thinking it was an NCT meeting - there was a lot of crying (from the babies - not the mums).

mixedmamma- whats stopping you re the wedding planner biz?

MotherofZ · 15/08/2007 14:06

lol - we are a completly bored bunch!
Anymore useless things to discuss? How many times a week do you wash DD or DS clothes? lol

Beller - what I meant was that to do a PGCE you need to take 1 year out full time for studying and placement. If I was to go back to University I want to be able to devote myself fully, but right now I don't think I wil be able to with a DD who's 19 mths and one on the way. Maybe when DD is about 5 years and at school (i.e no more nursery fees etc) then I will do it.

Bettymamma · 15/08/2007 14:07

Are you a little constipated Beller?

The baby goes mental and kicks ALOT when I've done a number 2 if that helps.

Bettymamma · 15/08/2007 14:07

How many times do you actually wash dd or ds?

Motherofz- I get you!! might be a tad on the busy side!

MotherofZ · 15/08/2007 14:37

try doing a search in FACEBOOK, for Mumsnet - should come up.

How about 'Due in the New Year - waddling our way past the half way mark' as the title for a new thread or something else???!!

Cazzybaby · 15/08/2007 14:41

MotherofZ - I like it!

mum2sam · 15/08/2007 14:48

hiya i sort of joined in the very begginng but have not been on for a while im due 12th january and have a ds who's 3 in october. Have just started to feel the baby kick which is good as i was beginng to think i had just eaten too many pies.Have my 5mth scan to look forward to next week can't wait not sure wheter to find out the sex or not. Is anyone else going to?

Scampynoodle · 15/08/2007 14:53

Mum2sam, I'll be asking about the sex when I have my 20 wk scan. It just seems wrong to keep calling it, well, it. And as for having a surprise at the end, I'm pretty sure that being handed a squalling baby will be enough of a surprise for one day. Bugger what flavour it is.

Sx

Bettymamma · 15/08/2007 14:57
