Def not worth wasting time worrying about labour - twice now I haven't made it that far! Well, 45 minutes of labour with ds before they whipped him out but I don't think that counts.

I saw the consultant today (am 16 weeks). He asked if the pg was planned and then asked if I'd considered getting sterilised during my next cs? He took me off for a scan to see where the placenta was, I thought it might be a bit shallow to ask if he could see the baby's gender so I kept quiet...

Anyhow, baby is fine. Placenta doesn't appear to be attached to the scar but it is too early to tell. I have a stream of scans and appointments lined up to check on it and on my scar, and hopefully I'll be having a cs in January sometime.

Scampynoodle · 14/08/2007 20:16

Gawd, I haven't been around for a good few days and I seem to have missed so much! I can't keep up with you lot, I swear.

I haven't had chance to read all the postings but there's a lot of birth chat on here. Do you mind if I just keep sticking my head in the sand? Anyway, I've already booked the stork...

Quick question about the baby kicking though. I think I might have felt two little kicks tonight, just after I coughed. They were very low down in my belly, almost like little nudges. They were like nothing else I've felt before, very definite - nothing like fart-building for example (I know, I know, I'm just a classy knda girl). I'm 17+3. What do you think? Be honest, now.

So this is your 3rd then? how old are your other two?
I'm not too bad thanks, feeling very tired as DD has only recenly cut her first batch of teeth and is suffering quite a lot. She used to go straight through the night and now she isn't so i'm feeling quite exhausted with the lack of sleep. Other than that i'mn fine and dandy! yawn yawn! hee hee

mummyto2littleprincess · 14/08/2007 21:41

i take it your dd is called lottie nice name

Lottielou · 14/08/2007 21:45

Nope thats my nickname.
We didn't find out what we were having and loved not knowing, so we are going to do the same this time and wait. It's so exciting. I'm convinced it's a boy tho but then think maybe i'm just wishful thinking as we would love one of each.
I dont think you're mad, each to thier own. If you're happy then it shouldn't matter what anyone else thinks.
I started feeling this baby move at 16 weeks too, such a fab feeling isn't it!

mummyto2littleprincess · 14/08/2007 21:48

Scampynoodle · 15/08/2007 09:33

Holy Moly, it really could have been the baby kicking then? You mean I'm really pregnant? I think my brain just melted...

she's our star/frequent poster!!

Cazzybaby · 15/08/2007 11:00

Good morning everyone!!

I am still waiting to feel LO I am 17+1 today so i am hoping anytime now

I have good news, me and DP have found somewhere for us to live. I was starting to think we would have to squeeze LO into our tiney one bed flat. We have found a lovely 2 bed house with a little garden, just round the corner from where I grew up, and will be moving in Septemeber. I'm very excited, although not sure I will actually be much help with the moving but I guess I can direct people!

mixedmama · 15/08/2007 11:06

Morning ladies,

i am here. Just got in at 10.30 as i am here till 7.00 this evening

Had quite a few emails this morning which is unusual and trying to read all the posts.

Nothing useful really to say this morning just yet, so will just kick back and see what you ladies come up with and of course express my extremely sought after opinion.

LilyLoo · 15/08/2007 11:10

congrats Cazzy
Welcome Lottielou a few coincidences there similair to my posting name and my dd called Lily Grace !
Hope alls well today Awen.
Think i might just stay in pyjamas today as they so comfy and i have a mountain of post holiday ironing to do
Anyone find their bra's really uncomfortable. I got measured two weeks ago so they must be right size but i an's wait to get them off. I was the same with the other pg's. They seem to irritate round the bottom.
Just watched a home birth on tv with dc's and ds seemed surprised that that's where our baby is going to emerge from. He said it looked like a big poo when the head came out. He said does that hurt it's very big!
Hope everyone else happy today despite the shocking weather.

mixedmama · 15/08/2007 11:31

So sweet of your DS Lilyloo

Bettymamma · 15/08/2007 11:39

Lilyloo - Hope you said - 'no it doesn't hurt darling - it's like a leaf gently falling off a tree'...

hehehe

Quite jealous of the pyjama predicament but not the ironing.

Come on mixedmama - no message till 11am - whats going on!
