Evening all.
Barristermum we found a lovely shadey spot at the woods actualy and the three older ds's went off to build a den while dh and ds4 and I all sat near the cricket field enjoying the shade. When everyone was bored with that we went to the play park where all the boys got absolutely filthy and full of sand. It was a brill afternoon. Everyone showered and in bed by 9 and dh and I are off to bed soon ready for our mad day at Chessington. Phew must be mad!!
Lillyloo have afab holiday and I hope you enjoy the wedding your going to too

MrsMcJnr · 05/08/2007 20:34

Hello ladies, don?t normally get on at the weekend but DH is watching boy stuff

Mixedmama ? not heard Ediz before, it?s nice my DH likes Atticus too.

LouiseSJ ? we are the opposite, we have 2 boys names we really like and 1 girl?s name that I like and that Dh is coming round to! We?ve decided to use Grandparents or Great Grandparents names as second names too. Sam and Nathan are good names too

Gingme ? Amy and Zoe are both nice our surname ends in an ?e? so feel we can?t have any names that end in that sound! We?ve decided to use Grandparents or Great Grandparents names as second names too. Sam and Nathan are good names too Hope you are enjoying your busy weekend.

Mummyto2littleprincesses ? hello. Hope you are having fun with the Doppler. Jayden?s unusual, not heard that before.

Bettymamma ? agree with you about the Jordan inferences, it?s such a shame, same goes for Jade, a lovely name but not a great inference. Sounds like you needed that new buggy for dd anyway thanks for the compliment

Housemum ? hello. I like most of your names too Ethan is on our list too but I know a few already.

Spud01 ? excellent stats update I?m updating to add that mine will be a surprise too. I haven?t heard Elena mentioned recently, that?s nice

Barristermum ? you are right, I think we are all settling into our pregnancies a bit more, feeling more secure and beginning to enjoy them, it?s lovely! I love my little bump as does DH which makes me feel special and adored I also feel really well the off wave of nausea but otherwise really good long may it last. Like the Celtic vein idea and there are some unusual, pretty ones there, we?ve been trying but failing to find Scottish names we really like, I guess we couldn?t get more Scottish with our surname though! We had lovely weather here on Sat, drive to Yorkshire and it was pouring with rain when we got there woke up to glorious sunshine this morning but as we set off home at lunchtime, it got darker as we got further North and it is cold, wet and miserable here at home, hey ho!

Hope the wedding went well Lilyloo there WILL be sun in Malta! have fun!

Kerrlou hello, had duck pancakes for my dinner in fact!

Naetha ? just being nosey but where does you nickname come from? Never heard that use of Dillon but then again, I am not from Yorkshire! Shame I didn?t read this before I went down there yesterday, I could have done a poll for you in Skipton! By the way, the Feliway has not cured the problem but I guess we were away overnight so it wasn?t a normal night! How about Oliver? Aidan? Ethan? Orion? (love the last one but DH says no! )

Hi all hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine!!

Just had a thought we will all be approaching or have reached 20 week mark this month which meens we are HALF WAY THERE ALREADY!!

Think that deserves a round of applause!

ayrshirelolo · 05/08/2007 21:09

Hi all!
Hope you are all well, sounds like everyone is having good experiences with the 20 week scan so far! Congrats to all! Mine's not due till 15th Sept so i'm a wee bit jealous of you all!
I would like a surprise too, i didn't know last time but convinced that dd was a boy.. when midwife said "it's a girl" i said "are you sure?" which is probably the daftest thing i've ever said, blame the epidural!
This time i think it's a girl, so will probably be wrong again! We've been having name chats too.. we liked Tabitha but dsd pointed out that everyone would call her Tabby and that's too cat like, so we're considering Joanna, Samantha or Alexandra for a girl and Rory, Jason or Max for a boy but all might change! xx

Amythewriter · 06/08/2007 05:56

Victorvictoria,

I read a post a year or two ago by you that said you had a ds at 20 weeks and an early miscarriage. I have almost the exact same situation. I'm hoping you will contact me so we can email one on one, as I'd like to talk with you. It appears as if you're pregnant now, and if so CONGRATULATIONS!!!

MotherofZ · 06/08/2007 08:09

Hope you all had a good weekend and enjoyed the sunshine.
Bloody hayfever - went to the doctors and they said I couldn't have anything

Bettymama - Zara!

beller · 06/08/2007 08:29

Morning everyone!

Naetha- My belly seems to have popped out in the last week or so too...sill only put on 7 lbs , so hopefully its not the fish and chips Congrats on your Scan and son!! Fab news, I like Theo too x

Housemum - Lovely pic!! you must be brimming with pride! x

Mixedmamma- hope you have got the car sorted out...what a pain! x

Lillyloo- Dress sounds great! Enjoy the holiday too... Toby and George are on my shortlist for boys x

mummytolittleprincess- Did you manage to pick up the Hb? Sometimes I get it straight away, other times it takes a minute or 2..and then babybel is moving, so it comes and goes? Hope your enjoying it xx

HOusemum- I love Isobel, cant have it with my surname (Bell!), Ethan is also on my shortlist of boys names x

Spud - Like your names!

Mrsmcjnr- I always find other things to do at work...beats workign anyway!

I had a fab friday...went to Goodwood racing for the day, was fantastic..had 3 winners too! Saturday i just chilled out and had a cleaning frenzy...cleaning the conservatory wondows, BBQ and Car...?! Sunday morning I went to a place called baby direct close to me...discount Mammas and Pappas furniture and Prams....Think I have decided on the Prammette, and also the furniture, but havnt bought anything until after my 20 week scan at 23 weeks ..Seems ages away at 29th Aug!
Listened to Babybell twice a day...Its weid, feel closer if thats possible!! My sister is certain im having a girl now as the HB is between 150-155...and over 140 its supposed to be a girl..she said that was right for both hers (boy and girl, one over and one under)...any of your have any experiences of HB being right? Although im not going to find out..just makes for a bit of fun. The chinese prediciton charts say boy!
Names I like at the moment are;
Girls- Imogen ,Isla, Daisy (not sure with my surname though!), Amelie...
Boys - Toby, George, Ethan, Connor, Ryan

Like the BOys names, but none are really jumping out at me?!

Hope everyone is well xx

mixedmama · 06/08/2007 09:52

I actually love Gabriella and Isabella, if we went for non Muslim names these would defo be my choices for a girl.

MrsMcJnr · 06/08/2007 10:13

Happy Monday everyone the worst bit (i.e. getting up very early) is over

Cazzy sunshine is a dirty word up here, its foul! I can?t believe we are almost half way there!! Can?t say the first half went that quickly apart from the last 6 weeks or so but bet the next bit does!

Ayreshireloo ? hello. I still have a while to go until my ?21 week? scan on 4/9 too. Your names ideas are nice

MotherofZ ? I can sympathise on the hay fever front, been really suffering. Try 1) Vaseline just on the inside of your nose 2) some honey made from whatever it is that you are allergic to, if you know. First one works for me, my Mum swears by the second.

Beller ? my friend Chooster from the TTC threads has just had a little boy called Theo I?ve met him in the flesh too and he?s gorgeous! Glad to hear that I am not the only one who does a little extra curricula stuff at work Glad Friday was a good day and that you did some winning! like your names, are you choosing yourself or will your ex want to participate? (hope you don?t mind me mentioning him)

Hello Mixedmama

Have had a bit of a rage on this morning had two rows at the train station not really like me, must be the hormones making me feisty!

mixedmama · 06/08/2007 10:19

Morning MrsMcJnr

Scampynoodle · 06/08/2007 10:24

Coo, it's good to see my name on that list. I really don't feel like the only woman in the world having a baby now (all my mates did it ages ago). Hurrah!

Sx

Bettymamma · 06/08/2007 10:24

Morning ladies

Good weekend? Lovely weather. Am sad to be back in the office.

Beller - heartbeat does sound like a girl. I thought that on your post before when you said it was over 158-160. My dd was always 155+. Have no doppler but was being kicked to bits between 4 and 5am. Just like my dd -who has only just stopped waking at that time. Fab. Another couple of years of no sleep for me?!

MotherofZ - Zara - doh of course! I did think that. You can guess my dd's name now!!...

MrsMcJ - you dh likes Atticus - not fair! Orion is fabulous. Just had someone at work have a baby called Orson. V.unusual. Oh and someone else had a girl called Dusty. As in Springfield I think.

Naetha - what a shame about Dylan if that's true. I liked the name but when i said it for my dd if she was a boy my mother-in-law said 'you don't come across as the type of person to call their son Dylan'. Whatever that means!?!

I like for a girl
Phoebe
Lola
Maggie (family name - its growing on me. I'm a Simpsons fan. I'm hoping the association with Mrs Thatcher will be long gone by the time shes at school)
Erin - (its a good one barristermum!)

for a boy (have had no boys in family for 32 years so probably not)
Zak
Finley
Rufus

I'm with housemum - don't want them to be one of many in their class at school. I was and its annoying!
xx

Angechica · 06/08/2007 10:28

Hi all
Got the Tommee Tippee stuff from Morrisons on Saturday, thanks to Housemum (but they make it about 4 miles down the road from me!). It is quality! Then I couldn't resist popping to Matalan for some bargain baby goods ... They're better if you know the flavour though.

gingeme · 06/08/2007 11:12

MotherofZ you can take Piriton while preg. I am at the moment and did with last ds. Dont get the medicine though get the tabs as I found I was way too drousy on the medicine. Like I needed that in the first trimester when you feel shattered all the time anyway
Had an excelent day at Chessington yesterday and the weather was just brill. Went on one ride I shouldnt have but it was so exhilerating(spelt that wong didnt I ?) that I just had to
Definatley showing a bit more now. DH said Im showing earlier this time. Probably because my tummy muscles are so caput from the last babys.
Well not doing much today. A bit of shopping and washing thats about it.
Have a good day all. xx

mixedmama · 06/08/2007 11:18

gingeme - can you believe i am of you washing and shopping - stuck at work.

MotherofZ · 06/08/2007 11:48

Bettymama - could your DD be called Betty?

Mrs McJnr - Vasline up your nostrils? Are you serious?

Gingeme - doctor prescribed me this spary and said use sparing as it can go in the blood stream - which left me just as confused, so haven't used it.

Lucky you going Chessington - wanted to go Alton Towers but thought there would be no rides suitable for pregnant women. What did you go on?

Bettymamma · 06/08/2007 11:56

MotherofZ - you must be psychic. Is you dd sleeping? This weather has bought back old habits unfortunately.

Gingeme - tell me your secret of shopping with small children. I need to master it - can't internet shop forever.

Mixedmama - are you bored to tears like me at work? i have NO motivation today.

OP posts:
mixedmama · 06/08/2007 11:58

Always bored to tears at work, this is the single most boring job on the planet.

katyt1 · 06/08/2007 11:58

hi everyone

dont seem to get a chance to get on much at the mo.
all is fine, weekend away with old friends, and lots of lovely sunshine

names, we are settled now i think on:
William John
or
Mary - tbc -

Both our mums are Jennifer so we thought we might go for Mary Jennifer but not sure on that one.

Tho will he be Will or William, hmm not sure on that one either yet.

have my scan date through for 7th sept (but have to change as we'll be away) exactly on the 20wk mark, amazing!

right, ds asleep, lots of washing and tidying up to do before dh comes home for lunch...

MotherofZ · 06/08/2007 12:01

mixedmama - sorry my job is more boring then yours! lol , yea already looking forward to Friday

Bettymamma · 06/08/2007 12:06

no no no - my job is WAY more boring with very boring colleagues as well. Since having dd they have relegated me to do nothing and i spend my life time wasting. I am a part-timer though!
