No, my message chasing has been ignored. Think I’ll raise an ‘item not received’ this evening but can’t remember how long you’re meant to leave it before doing it.

TwittleBee · 27/03/2019 14:30

Oh I swear by just big night shirts for sleepwear Megan2018 that's all I slept in whilst pregnant with DS and they were great for BFing too afterwards. Got to love a good eBay find! Got a gorgeous dress off there a couple weeks back for my cousin's wedding for only a tenner! Stop so shocked by your Dorothy Perkins issue, can't believe they don't have proper records!!

Tbh I think with your message ignored surely you should be able to raise an issue? Fortheloveofscience!

DancingUnicorn1 · 27/03/2019 14:31

@Megan2018 I've found that there's not much maternity stuff in shops. Yet I'm sure pre-pregnancy I used to often find something I liked only to later realise it was in the maternity range Hmm

I've not really tried eBay and would be nervous of receiving unclean/damaged clothes.

I also need bras but am a little reluctant in case I grow more as I hate how expensive they are (I've always had a big cup size and small back so end up paying at least £30-40 for one).

Megan2018 · 27/03/2019 14:34

@Cheekychimp1
Just been on the spreadsheet - what's your EDD?
The first column represents the day in September you are due, so I can move your row up to the right number.

AnnieAR · 27/03/2019 14:37

Things are going okay so far thanks CheekyChimp :)
As for maternity clothes, I've found some in a few of the larger h&m stores (can be pricey but good for checking sizes before buying online/second hand) and facebook marketplace is good for second hand maternity clothing, got a couple of pairs of jeans on there 😄

Have you ladies seen the news about the heatwave this work spring? And the humid summer? Not sure how reliable source is though as saw it as a link from The Sun

Megan2018 · 27/03/2019 15:34

I'l believe it when I see it @TwittleBee

I was gutted to miss most of the heatwave last year as we were in the midst of moving house. We moved onto a building site so had to have the windows shut all the time and our garden was just a dust bowl. So I was either at work, or shut inside a half built house drowning out the builders.

Totally gutted - no sun time for me. I bet this year it'll be completely crap! I love the heat.

Dipsy77 · 27/03/2019 15:43

I need to have a look on eBay by the sound of it,
I live near a Mothercare outlet all their maternity dresses are currently £5 and they sell loads of maternity and nursing bras they are £3 each or pack of 2 for £5 total bargain I didn't realise at first and going by the price on them was prepared to pay £25 for 4 which I thought was a good deal with the mark downs on them but ended up paying a tenner for 4 that was a month ago I bought 36DD I'm usually a 34C and they are already starting to feel tight may need another trip for some more !!!Smile

AnnieAR · 27/03/2019 15:46

New look and dorothy perkins both have a lot of maternitiy clothes in their online sales rn if that helps anyone :)

DustyDoorframes · 27/03/2019 15:56

@DancingUnicorn1 I'm like you re bras, if I'd measure properly I'm a very small back- I should be a 26 but that's not going to happen in the shops... I've given into dodgy sizing at the mo though- I'm in some mothercare 36C bras for now which are totally not the right size but comfy enough and will see me through for a few months. I'll go back to ACTUAL proper sizing once I've settled into BFing in the winter...

Lavellan · 27/03/2019 16:06

Living in Aberdeen I wish for a heatwave. Last year was perfect.

Cheekychimp1 · 27/03/2019 16:22

@megan2018

Due date is 2nd September for the spreadsheet. Sorry if I messed it up!

IVEgottheDECAF · 27/03/2019 16:39

I need bras. I cba trying to buy any that will fit .....

boodles i saw two sets of twins today (seperately) both under 12months and using the egg pram, so maybe that is a good one?

Megan2018 · 27/03/2019 16:48

@Cheekychimp1 No you didn't mess it up - you did exactly what I did when it was first created lol. It's easy to just move your row. I'll do it now.

I have lost the will to live trying bras. Nothing fits.
I was a 32DD before - that's using bra intervention method etc. I can only wear balcony style though.
Measuring the same way I am apparently now 32FF. But they are far too big on my frame - they practically come up to my neck and under my armpit and all seem to be full cup.
Can't go smaller back size, 32 is definitely right and 34 too big. But I need smaller bras with more volume in a small cup somehow. I think my boobs have only got bigger in one place - they stick out more but are still quite small overall if that makes any sense.

I'm winging it with a bralet and waiting to see if they change again. I have literally tried on about 50 bras this week and I am so over it.

DustyDoorframes · 27/03/2019 17:10

@Megan2018 they will be very very likely to change a fair bit between now and when your body gets back to normal a good bit after birth...
I need to investigate bralets I think they sound like the way forward!

boodles101 · 27/03/2019 17:10

Thanks decaf I'll check it out. Haven't seen an egg in twin mode so I'm off to Google!

AnnieAR · 27/03/2019 17:12

I've been getting wireless bras from primark, gone from 34b to 34d already so not getting anything expensive til just before I start breastfeeding xD

AnnieAR · 27/03/2019 17:24

Boodles it might be worth going and having a push of some of the prams/pushchairs, I was in mothercare today and some of the ones that work as doubles/tandems are so heavy with only one seat on them - the mothercare genie is pretty lightweight but definitely something to be careful about if you think you'll struggle with something heavy :)

Lavellan · 27/03/2019 17:27

I literally haven't worn an underwire since I saw two pink lines lol. I might have to size up my bralettes soon though, straps are starting to dig in to my shoulders.

DancingUnicorn1 · 27/03/2019 17:27

When I was slim (haha so many years ago!) I measured as a 28G so couldn't find a bra anywhere and had to go up at least 1 back size.

6 months ago I was 34/36G but I just seem to be bulging right out of the cups at the front. Can never find my size anywhere cheap like primark/Asda/tesco and really don't want to spend £30+ on a bra that's only going to last a few months!

Fortheloveofscience · 27/03/2019 17:46

Megan I’ve got exactly the same problem - previously was a 32B now bra or bust gives me 32DD, but the size of the cups mean theyre almost overlapping! I found some stretchy bralets in tkmaxx and have been wearing size ‘L’ since I was about 10 weeks. The straps aren’t adjustable which is annoying because they’re a tad long, but otherwise they’re comfy.

Tried maternity bras in Next, 32 C was far too small, they didn’t have any 32D’s/Dd’s and Mothercare had nothing smaller than a 34 back.

TwittleBee · 27/03/2019 17:54

Bralets are pretty much all I'm wearing now. My boobs are killing me, gone from a 32A to a 32DD so goodness knows how much bigger they will get!!

BBell2 · 27/03/2019 17:56

On underwear in general I'm small chested B cup and dont really fluctuate, found a cheap Ebay pack of bra extenders got me through from first non-whites to feeding last time. And just bought big cheap pants, one and then two sizes above normal for right at the end and post birth, rolled them back already this time. It's all very sexy! Grin

BBell2 · 27/03/2019 17:58

*non wired bra! Why cant you edit posts!!! I'm a 36B maybe it's not so small buy I think I was probably 38 quite quickly

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/03/2019 06:52

17 weeks today and my pregnancy app tells me baby is as big as a games console control pad. Doesnt that seem huge?
