@pinklady89x don’t stress, it’s way too early to be thinking about patterns in movements, it’s not until around 24 weeks you start monitoring it. Could just be baby’s moved into a position where you now can’t feel it. I’m 18+3 and felt nothing but not worried as know everyone is different xx

Jelliestogether · 06/03/2019 15:16

@PinkLady89 don't worry about the movements. I had my first movement at 15+3 and since then it's been really random when I feel them, but like others say, not to worry til later in pregnancy to track movements.

curlywurlywooo · 06/03/2019 16:44

@PinkLady89 as pp’s have said don’t get worried about movement. If you feel movement then it’s a bonus - lots of ladies don’t feel anything yet! I feel my baby a lot and have done increasingly since 16 weeks, however there’s no noticeable pattern apart from when I eat. Baby’s too small to notice regular patterns I think Smile just enjoy the sensation of movement when it does happen!

ABearandABump · 06/03/2019 17:07

Had my 16 week MW appointment yesterday at 17w, and got to hear baby's heartbeat. Midwife said they don't tend to check it but let me record it so I could let my DS listen to it.

Baby hates Dopplers apparently, everywhere she placed the Doppler baby would kick in that area. Felt a few slight movements yesterday but baby seemed to be wild this afternoon after eating strawberries 🍓!

Got my private scan booked for Sunday

Jokie · 06/03/2019 19:06

@ABearandABump; mine is the same! Any sort of Doppler and echo and the baby doesn't want to play ball.

ScotsBaby2 · 06/03/2019 19:18

How is everyone doing?

Who has gender scans coming up? When?

Who's due the first 20 week scan? It must be soon!

I had my 16 week appointment today. BP good, urine fine but I got into trouble for not starting my anti sickness pills as GP said only if I wasn't functioning all week. She told me that being sick everyday and losing a stone was enough to justify the tablets. Felt a bit daft tbh. No hb check here until 22 weeks.

curlywurlywooo · 06/03/2019 19:28

@ScotsBaby2 Grin so far so good. I’ve got my 20 week scan on Tuesday 12th! We don’t intend to find out the sex Smile if we find out by accident then there we go!
How are you? Aside from your sickness tablets? 💖

MrsRyan15 · 06/03/2019 20:00

I have my 20 week scan on Thurs 14th. I will be exactly 20 weeks. Can't wait to see the little one again and find out 💙💗

ScotsBaby2 · 06/03/2019 21:31

@curlywurlywooo I'm ok. My 1 year old is very sad with teeth so it's meant crying all night then all day yesterday then all night last night. Nursery said she was good today and she was happy when she came home. Hopefully it keeps up. I want my bed to myself tonight!

Blueberry2018 · 06/03/2019 22:29

@ScotsBaby2 I have my private gender scan on Saturday (they do not offer it at our local hospital at-all) . I then have 20 wk scan 2 wks today 😊. Saw consultant today and got to listen to heartbeat again which was lovely. X

EverythingNow · 07/03/2019 08:13

18+4 today and 18 days left til my scan. I am literally counting the days down.

Baby is definitely more active and I feel it fluttering about during the day now. No actual kicks yet though and definitely nothing strong enough to feel externally yet.

Whoopsies · 07/03/2019 10:39

Morning all. 18+5 here and one week till my anomaly scan. Can't wait to get through that now. I'm feeling a lot of kicks now, can't wait till they get bigger and ds can feel them from the outside!! (I would say dh too, but he hates it when the baby moves 😂)

Hope everyone is feeling ok.

@PinkLady98x I have days with more movement and days of less. The place I feel kicks also changes a lot so I think baby is just turning about a lot and I guess sometimes kicking towards the back move where I don't feel it!

Oftenconfused · 07/03/2019 12:05

I've been mainly lurking and not contributing for a while, but I wanted to share that I had my anomaly scan this morning (at 19+2) and all seems well Smile. Baby was a bit dozy but we got a little wave! Best wishes to everyone else with scans soon.

Ninunina · 07/03/2019 12:31

Hi everyone, I've been a bit quiet for the past week since I was on holiday in France. I'll read through to see what I've missed out on.

OctoberGirl91 · 07/03/2019 12:46

Got my gender scan Saturday also I'll be 16+1 taking our eldest DD with us who is very excited xx

genome · 07/03/2019 19:02

@ABearandABump my second was like that, hated all ultrasounds and echos! We had lots of extra ultrasounds too as she had a hole in her heart and they wanted to keep an eye on her. I would get beaten up everytime!

RaindropsRoses · 07/03/2019 19:04

Still another 4 weeks til our scan, feels like it's going so slow! Is anyone else still so tired? I swear it's meant to be better by now but I feel worse than ever! Was awful in work this afternoon could barely concentrate and my eyes were stinging although I slept pretty well last night 😴

genome · 07/03/2019 19:08

16 week appointment is next week and I think they will check heartbeat as they have with my previous pregnancies. I will have the three kids with me, so hopefully everyone will cooperate ConfusedGrin
20 week scan is not until the 2nd April.

Jokie · 07/03/2019 20:13

Hey everyone, sounds like everyone is getting some good positive scans! Great news!

Anyone else suffering with heartburn?

keebo · 07/03/2019 20:23

@RaindropsRoses I'm definitely still battling exhaustion. I fall asleep at 830 every night 😴
@genome I had my 16 wk midwife appointment today and we listened to the heartbeat which was quite exciting! My DH is gutted that he wasn't there to hear it so I think he'll definitely come to my next appointment. The midwife said I should bond with the baby but I'm not really sure how. Any ideas? I've spent 4 months ignoring it just in case it didn't work out so this is a real mindshift for me.

Cobblestones · 07/03/2019 21:24

Hi @keebo sounds like you were quite anxious like me. I completely ignored the idea that something was developing in there and just focused on getting through the sickness. But the last few weeks I’ve been feeling more positive. The little flutters from around week 15 have helped with the bonding. Have you tried thinking of possible names? And maybe doing some planning like the things you could buy for the room? That might help make it seem more real.

I’ve got my scan next Friday! Excited and nervous at the same time.

curlywurlywooo · 07/03/2019 22:28

@RaindropsRoses I’m often tired! Expected it to go with the second trimester but I fall asleep in work.. in the cinema.. I go to bed as early as I can 😂
@Jokie yes to heartburn! I buy big boxes of rennies from b&m and keep them with me. I’m expecting it to get worse as the baby grows and pushes everything up!
@keebo my midwife also told me to start talking to baby and stroking it to bond, good for the brain development, I stroke my tummy often but honestly I feel a bit weird talking to baby as there’s barely a bump! I suppose the baby hears me answer DH chatting anyway!

sacrecoeur0712 · 08/03/2019 06:06

@RaindropsRoses I'm another one who's still struggling with exhaustion. I don't remember being like this in my previous pregnancies. I'm also really struggling with mood swings and irritability. DH keeps telling me how grumpy I'm being - he soon gets sharp shrift! Silly man should learn when to keep his gob shut 😂

Chocolate89 · 08/03/2019 07:06

@sacrecoeur0712 absolutely I am!! Really struggling at work this week, starting to panic how people manage to work up until term! in my job they only let you only work up until 33 weeks at most but even that seems a struggle! I'm not sleeping well either, really vivid dreams. Anyone else?

Think I'm finally feeling little kicks now (18+5)! More so in the evening times, but it is lovely!😊 big scan on the 21st which feels ages away so nice to have a bit of reassurance with kicks.

curlywurlywooo · 08/03/2019 07:51

@Chocolate89 I just awoke from a dream I lived in a New York apartment and my two dalmatians had 101 puppies... that actually resembled black and white rats (teeth whiskers and all) I started putting them in the bathtub so they didn’t pee on the carpets and they started disappearing down the plug hole...which I was ok about as they were rats 😂
