@jelliestogether and @scotsbaby2 my mum's club 09 is still secret nearly 10 years on. It's brilliant.

Jokie · 03/05/2019 19:10

Welcome @itseasybeingcheesy. I've had an absolute horrid day. Diabetes test came back negative and within the healthy range but I'm having massive issues with low blood pressure. Anyone else having issues?

itseasybeingcheesy · 03/05/2019 20:50

Thanks @Jokie

Sorry to hear you've had a crap day. Hope something can be done for your blood pressure.

I've got rotten SPD and I seem to be dropping everything I touch. I am waddling and limping like an old lady. Approaching 27 weeks now and it's going so fast!

PhoebeBear · 03/05/2019 22:50

I've discovered my first stretch mark under my breast! They're quite small anyways and haven't changed much in size, was waiting more for bump marks... 😔
Any other ladies?

Jokie · 04/05/2019 06:18

@PhoebeBear: my boobs have just returned to their old breastfeeding size (aka massive) so they look normal now rather than the saggy mess they were a few months ago!

sacrecoeur0712 · 04/05/2019 08:51

@PhoebeBear I got stretch marks all over my boobs and bump when I was pregnant with dc1. They've faded to white now so they don't really bother me.

@Jokie good news about gtt but sorry you're feeling rubbish, anything you can do to help low blood pressure? Does eating and drinking often help?

Jelliestogether · 04/05/2019 10:42

Has anyone had issues with barely feeling baby moving since they started feeling it? Baby was a bit quieter yesterday which is fine as sometimes it has a quieter day but this morning it's still super quiet. Had a couple of movements but definitely not like normal! I rung the triage line and now I'm laying on my side for 2 hours....I'm 25 weeks today! Hurry up and wake up baby!

@phoebebear not yet any stretch marks, using creans/oils twice a day to try and help...although apparently it isnt proven to work.

PhoebeBear · 04/05/2019 11:21

@Jelliestogether I've used bio oil religiously and also burst bees mama bee cream, I think the problem is I haven't been wearing a proper bra, I've been at wearing some which have no support so going to invest in some new ones today

I'm 26 weeks and was at a&e last week as I hadn't felt baby move all day- turns out he's lying transverse and i wouldn't of felt his kicks and rolls properly . Got a Doppler now too to check on him 😊 get it checked out if you're worried

Jelliestogether · 04/05/2019 12:55

@PhoebeBear yeah I've heard the creams and oils aren't proven to help but makes you feel like you are doing something!

Oh that's good to know, I'm sure that's probably all that's happened as in 2 hours your meant to feel 10 movements, I've felt 8 but they're not as strong as normal. Going to ring them up again in a minute to go get checked out but my partner will be home soon so waiting till hes a bit nearer so he can come with me.

I guess its tricky when they're this size cos they move all the time but theyre still small enough to find a little spot to hide in!

ScotsBaby2 · 04/05/2019 14:50

@Jelliestogether where did you get the info of 10 movements in two hours?
I was always told to track the pattern so I feel baby move at bedtime and first thing in the morning plus around the times I'm eating. I know that there are a lot of times where I wouldn't feel 10 movements in 2 hours but the pattern of movements is still there.
Last night I didn't feel anything at bedtime then baby was late to wake up but then was very very low down. I think I just didn't felt the movements.

Phone if you are concerned though. They will be able to reassure you or ask you to come in for monitoring.

Jelliestogether · 04/05/2019 17:21

@ScotsBaby2 I did ring and that was their advice. Cold glass of water and lie on side for 2 hours and count. I had 8 so called back and went in. They just checked my urine and listened with the doppler, they seemed happy. Thinks baby just moved a bit out of the way

Jelliestogether · 04/05/2019 17:33

But the reason I rung was because of a change in movements

ScotsBaby2 · 04/05/2019 18:28

Ahhhh so it's not the advice to follow everyday. Got it. That makes sense.

Glad everything is ok. Has it got wriggly again yet?

OP posts:
PhoebeBear · 04/05/2019 22:09

@ScotsBaby2 the second I got back from the hospital and lay in bed on my side he was back to his wriggly self 😂 now sitting on sofa having a ice lolly and it's sending him crazy x I guess it's Mam instinct kicking in when I couldn't feel him

Bakingabean · 05/05/2019 07:11

@jelliestogether mine had a quieter day yesterday too. Didn't feel him as much at the usual times and Couldn't lie down as was driving to the in laws. I did feel him moving, just not as much as normal so by the evening I was considering calling. He started up a bit more at bed time so i didn't in the end.

I think he'd either moved so I couldnt feel much or it was because my routine was different, as this morning he's all over the place again! My belly looks like an alien is about to burst out of it!

Jelliestogether · 05/05/2019 11:36

@ScotsBaby2 no the advice is still to follow your little ones normal pattern but then when I called the midwives that was what they advised as a baby should move 10 times in 2 hours if your focusing on movements you will notice at least 10 apparently! Who knows!

Still was a bit quiet all evening but this morning back kicking and wriggling all over the place! Clearly bored of hiding now!

keebo · 05/05/2019 13:36

@Jelliestogether that's really interesting advice. And about the cold water and lying on your side. I had a mini panic on Friday night when I realised I hadn't felt movement all evening (I'd been sat down but working so not focusing on bump). I ate ice, moved around, lay flat, poked it etc etc. Eventually we felt a little flutter and a bit more when I went to bed so I didn't call the midwife. However, when I woke up on Saturday baby was completely on my right, my bump was totally lopsided! He/she had obviously moved position and I'm just used to the kicking all being on my bottom right. Felt a bit of a ninny! Still, it did make me realise just how much I love my little bump already! Besotted! 💕💞💗

PinkLady89x · 06/05/2019 13:04

Hey ladies,
24 weeks tomorrow and so excited about the viability of my little baby! Seems like such a special milestone.
I have days when I don't feel her as much and other days when she seems to be trying to kick her way out of me! It's crazy! But everyday I do feel her quite a lot but it's just sometimes weaker feelings.

Quick question - while I've felt her loads today, I've woken up with sort of period like cramps. Not particularly strong but I'm now worrying about it. Is this normal and has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure if it's because she feels very low at the moment as all the kicks are in my knicker line area... 🤷🏼‍♀️ x

bubblegumunicorn · 06/05/2019 13:23

@PinkLady89x that could be braxton hicks they usually don't get closer together if they do then that's when you should call your midwife!

ScotsBaby2 · 06/05/2019 15:25

@PinkLady89x are they sore? Does your bump go right?

OP posts:
PinkLady89x · 06/05/2019 16:44

Hey ladies. I fell asleep again after posting 🤦🏼‍♀️. Got to love a bank holiday. It's gone away now. Tbh thinking about it, I ate a whole packet of polos yesterday and then had a dodgy stomach and number 2 because of it this morning so after my nap with it going away, I'm going to put it down to that. Can't give into cravings of whole packets of mints when I know I'm sensitive to them 😂. Glad it's gone now and I can feel her wiggling away!
Does anyone else find that some days they kick quick hard and other days there are still kicks but weaker ones? Today happens to be a mixture of both but I was just wondering why she goes some days with weaker kicks 🤔.
X

Mondayblues7 · 07/05/2019 06:45

@PinkLady89x I definitely get days when baby kicks more or I can feel them more. Guess it all depends on where baby is positioned.

I have the most hurrendous stinking cold. Sore throat, ear ache, head ache. Blocked nose and sneezing. Paracetamol hasn't touched it. Lemon and honey constantly . I had last week off as went away for a week with my friend to Wales. I can't face work today. Can't wait for the "it's only a cold"comments. But I don't want to make everyone else ill. I work in sales and am on the phone constantly. 😭

PhoebeBear · 07/05/2019 10:15

27 weeks here, woke up this morning and felt so much pressure down there, felt as though baby was pushing down so much! Getting ready for a shift at work so I hope it subsides soon and sometimes it can catch me off guard and has me crippled over 😮
However babies been kicking a lot through the night, especially on my right side. Looking forward to maternity leave though as my back is in so much pain. 7 weeks left at work 🙄

UnicornDust17 · 07/05/2019 12:55

@Jelliestogether I've never heard that 10 movements in 2 hours before, that is quite interesting - although I definitely don't get 10 moves in 2 hours... any day... but she's moving about every day so I guess that's OK!

@PinkLady89x I've had period pains too, I'm assuming it is just where everything is getting stretched and my placenta at the front. That's my guess, not sure if it's right!! :-)

Hope everyone is keeping well and had a nice bank hols!

milly2000 · 07/05/2019 15:17

Hey everyone I've spent some time today catching up and everyone's post.

Can't believe how quick this time is going (for me anyway) how are we all heading toward the third trimester already!

I had a week off work last week and I felt so much better for it my sleep improved and I felt so much more relaxed. I'm back today and it's hit me hard. I have a desk job so I feel like a bit of a wimp moaning. I spend a lot of time in the office alone and I'm considering asking my manager if I can start working two days from home each week If know one is in the office. Do you think I'm being unreasonable? I'm so much more comfortable as home and don't need to sit in rush hour traffic twice a day!
