@Bakingabean I too am suffering with carpal tunnel (CTS) in both wrists hands and arms. Its a nightmare. I am wearing a splint on one wrist every other night and am buying a second one today so i can wear it on other side too each night as it defo seems to help. I wear it am home in day but not at work... i expect i will need to soon though. I broke my right wrist and left collar bone in past so apparently i was high risk for developing CTS in pregnancy anyway. Midwife said it should go after delivery within a month or so. Going to try starting swimming next week to help muscles strengthen a bit x

Blueberry2018 · 27/04/2019 09:13

I've gone for Maxi Cosi Adorra. My local nursery superstore had it in the show room. Really easy to fold, lightweight and compact when folded. Full travel system and lots of useful features.

Bakingabean · 27/04/2019 10:44

@blueberry2018 I'm sorry you're suffering too! I'll start wearing the splint during the day when I can (can't at work as I'm in a kitchen) and see if it helps.

Fuppy · 27/04/2019 11:26

@sacrecoeur0712 Thank you! My fingers are crossed for you.

@ScotsBaby2 I don't drive and generally walk to shops and carry it back. I was thinking about a large basket underneath and not too light a pram that it'll tip over with a couple of bags hanging off of it. On normal day the pram will only need to go up & down 2 steps.
I didn't think about fighting it on sloping pavements though (might be a pain), I'm very strong 💪 but hopefully avoiding another CS 😬

ScotsBaby2 · 27/04/2019 12:14

@Fuppy tbh I wouldn't worry too much about the weight then. Ours has a huge basket and we have two buggy clips on the handle bars. It's never tipped over.

@ScotsBaby2 I'll have a look at your one as well then, thank you.

PhoebeBear · 28/04/2019 08:47

Dunno how far behind I am or if anyone has only just stared to notice this- their baby rolling around! 😊
Last night I usually feel the kicks and punches but managed to also see him turn around as it was kind of like a wave over my stomach. He was very active and again this morning! Just feels amazing knowing my little babies all happy inside moving x

keebo · 28/04/2019 15:19

Wow @PheobeBear that sounds amazing. I haven't seen mine do anything yet (except make the TV remote wiggle if I balance it on the bump which just makes me giggle so much!) but I'm looking forward to it. With an anterior placenta I guess I might be waiting a while though. Current pregnant symptom for me seems to be leg cramps in the middle of the night. Anyone else having that joy??!

Jelliestogether · 28/04/2019 18:45

@PheobeBear yes!! Mine loves to do it when I'm eating which instantly puts me off what I'm eating and makes me feel a but sick! Although I'm loving feeling the little one move all day...less loving it at night but still, least I know the little one is ok!

@keebo I had about a week of leg cramps and I've had none since (fingers crossed they dont come back!). Its horrible isn't it!! Some people say it's due to a variety of deficiencies such as salt or magnesium. If they carry on maybe ask your midwife/gp

Blueberry2018 · 29/04/2019 20:21

@PhoebeBear Yes experienced this for first time yesterday and again today- makes me feel quite sick!!

Bakingabean · 29/04/2019 22:03

@phoebebear me too! And I agree @jelliestogether & @blueberry2018 about making me feel sick. Like my stomach is turning over. It happened when I was in a meeting at work today and I made a groaning noise... everyone stopped and stared at me...

keebo · 29/04/2019 22:06

@PhoebeBear @Jelliestogether and @Blueberry2018 I watched mine like a hawk this evening and could see it too! It was hilarious! Once I knew when and what to look for I could even notice it twitching my t-shirt. It was after eating though, I can appreciate that it's off-putting during a meal! I think mine must have the metabolism of my DH, it ceases to function until I feed it 😂

Cobblestones · 30/04/2019 18:14

Hi all. Catching up on this thread after a while.

For those worried about GD - I had my test last week (bloods after 12 hour fasting). I too was worried about it being positive given many risk factors such as family history, age and pcos. But thank goodness test came back normal. So pls don’t worry hopefully those of you having it will be in the same boat. Fingers crossed.

sacrecoeur0712 · 30/04/2019 18:21

@Cobblestones that's reassuring, thanks.

Update from me after my scan yesterday - cervical length is in normal range again so no stitch, and I'm discharged from the prematurity clinic because I'll be 24 weeks this week. Quite a turnaround from 2 weeks ago! Nevertheless I'm very relieved not to be having a stitch and hopefully my pregnancy will follow the same pattern as DS2 and I'll go full term despite all the earlier worry 🤞🏻

itseasybeingcheesy · 01/05/2019 09:17

Hey, I'm pretty late to the party, is there room for another in here? Due August 9th, baby will most likely be coming via c-section at 39 weeks though. This is my third baby

bubblegumunicorn · 01/05/2019 10:04

@Cobblestones thanks that's reassuring they they told me they would only be in touch if I have it which is 7-10 days so the end of next week I wish it was a letter either way 🙈 I hate those open ended having to wait out the clock tests 🙈🙈

sacrecoeur0712 · 01/05/2019 15:18

Hi @itseasybeingcheesy and welcome. I'm expecting no.3 also Smile

Fuppy · 01/05/2019 19:27

Welcome @itseasybeingcheesy

@sacrecoeur0712 congrats on your no-stitch news!

My belly jiggles like jelly, I keep getting all sorts of bumps pop out and back in quickly it feels so strange now. I love it! Grin (didn't feel much in last pregnancy due to polyhydraminos & an anterior placenta) I am now the most pregnant I have ever been and finally enjoying a pregnancy Smile

itseasybeingcheesy · 01/05/2019 19:30

Thanks for the welcome!

ScotsBaby2 · 02/05/2019 20:27

@itseasybeingcheesy welcome!

How has everyone been? So many of us moving into the 24 weeks plus category. Makes me feel much more reassured. I hear that the July group have has their first baby 😲

Anyone who wishes to join the Facebook group, send me a PM with your email address and I'll add you in.

Hello lovely mummas to be - haven't been on this thread for ages 🙈 sorry. 28 weeks tomorrow... Does that mean thief trimester? Eek!

@Bakingabean I also have developed carpal tunnel syndrome. It's so painful, was referred to physio and now have a splint for each hand. It has definitely made a difference, especially wearing them at night.

I also have a support for my hips and back to wear during the day. Which is also helping 👍

Jelliestogether · 03/05/2019 08:28

@ScotsBaby2 is the Facebook group still secret? As in no-one can see it, I still haven't announced it on social media so dont want people finding out like that!

@UnicornDust17 ouch! Sounds like your having a rough time of it! Glad the physio is on it for you though! And omg yes you are in the third trimester!! Ahhh! Not long to go.

Not sure for everyone else but time is flying for me!

UnicornDust17 · 03/05/2019 08:33

Thank you @Jelliestogether 😁

We haven't announced on social media either but I'm in the Facebook group. It is secret 👍👍

Bakingabean · 03/05/2019 15:49

@Unicorndust17 its hideous isn't it! I went for dinner with friends and couldn't eat my pasta properly! And then last night despite wearing my splint I woke up so many times with my arm and hard burning in pain. It was agony. Plus I got up to pee twice and the dog woke me twice, so today isn't going well either!

Oh and yesterday I also dropped so many things. Including loads of custard powder which is a bitch to clean up!

I'm 27 and a bit weeks. Almost in the final tri. cant come soon enough!

ScotsBaby2 · 03/05/2019 18:05

@Jelliestogether yeah, it will remain secret forever I would think.
