Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

Mines next week I can't wait. Willing this week away. I haven't got much to report as most symptoms have reduced and nothing new has started... Week 11 is pretty dull haha.

Megan2018 · 18/02/2019 12:08

@JJ94

My NIPT (with scan) is on Weds this week so very close! But my NHS 12wk scan is 4th March.
There are 3 hurdles for me before this will feel real - Viable baby with heartbeat at Wednesday''s scan, good NIPT results the week after, then the NHS scan.

In theory in less than 2 weeks I will be at that point and will tell close family and friends - but I feel very much on a knife edge now.

Whisky2014 · 18/02/2019 12:20

Well, I had my wine spritzer last night over about 1.5 hours. I felt really crap after it and felt so sick. I also got up 3 times in the night for pee and al lot of broken sleep inbetween. So i wont be doing that again!

boodles101 · 18/02/2019 12:21

My scans 10th March. Just seems like forever away. Trying to just forget about it until we get into March

Whisky2014 · 18/02/2019 12:22

Oh @tefiti2 your due date is one day after mine!

MunchyMunchkin · 18/02/2019 12:33

I have the NIPTY plus scan on Saturday and assuming the nhs one will be beg of March but waiting for a date.

LaBelleSausage · 18/02/2019 13:01

Haven’t even got my scan through yet, hopefully will come in the post some time this week.

I’m so fed up of being sick. Managed fine last week as I’d booked the week off, and stayed home today because DS has a bug so I was working from home while my mum played with him this morning.

I feel like I’m getting worse and worse though, not sure I can face the office tomorrow because discrete vomiting is pretty tough. I’ve been going to the visitor loos on another floor but that was when it was once a day and I was fine after about 8.30 so no one really noticed me missing.
Today I’m still feeling rough now and I’ve been sick four times Sad

I have a 1:1 with my line manager and may tell her early just so she can make some allowances for me.

pinkpig381 · 18/02/2019 13:06

I'm still waiting on my 12 week scan to come in the post but that should hopefully come this week. I think it will be in the first two weeks of March...we had an early 8 week scan and saw beans little heartbeat but can't wait until 12 week one to see more of a baby shape!

Easterbuns1 · 18/02/2019 13:07

@Tefiti2 what a cracking scan picture!

@JJ94 my dating scan is also on the 1st, going by my early one I will be 12+5.

DustyDoorframes · 18/02/2019 13:14

Mine is 4 weeks today, on the 18th March. I'll be bang on 12 weeks, and I'm due on the 29th sept, so I'm guessing a few of us will still be getting our scans up to the end of March...

TwittleBee · 18/02/2019 13:21

totally missed your post! @Tefiti2 !! Oh my beuatiful scan pic!

Also i have attached your image with a ring around what i think might be the nub? - I am no expect though btw! If that is a nub looks like a girl?

LaBelleSausage how many weeks are you now? Really hope it eases up. I have found having a bunch of grapes to graze on throughout the day seems to help me

*oh my what a beautiful scan pic! (that was meant to read!)

Tefiti2 · 18/02/2019 14:07

Oh that’s great @whisky2014 how are you feeling now? Have you had your 12wk scan yet? Thanks @twittlebee I thought the same, it’s just for fun, can’t believe it’s feeling all a bit more real now! Xx

TwittleBee · 18/02/2019 14:10

Yeah I know dont worry, I'll be posting the same soon enough too Tefiti ! Actually couldnt see a nub at all with the scan pic of DS, the sonographer gave us a really odd looking picture - it was like super detailed and kinds hard to tell it was a baby tbh!

LaBelleSausage · 18/02/2019 14:24

@TwittleBee 9 weeks today.
I don’t remember being so bad last time but I didn’t have a toddler! Poor DS is watching a lot of CBeebies at the moment

Whisky2014 · 18/02/2019 14:37

@tefiti2 Yeh feel ok now.
I had my scan last week. Seems ages to wait until 20 weeks so I might book a private one around 16 weeks to see sex.

TwittleBee · 18/02/2019 14:42

Ah yeah my sickness ramped up after 8 weeks too. Totally know what you mean about having a toddler this time round potentially making it harder! Hopefully it will start subsiding for us soon!

MrsCatKins · 18/02/2019 15:02

Has anyone put on any weight so far? I am nearly 11 weeks and I think I've put on about 5/6lbs...is that normal? I've been eating so much I'm not really surprised!

Karigan195 · 18/02/2019 15:05

Yes :(

Now at 12 weeks trying to get a handle on it though.

TwittleBee · 18/02/2019 15:06

MrsCatKins there are some good graphs online which will show you expected weight gain according to your weight and some apps offer it too. But yes remember boobs grow and you'll be retaining water too at this stage I believe?

boodles101 · 18/02/2019 15:19

Yes I've put on about 5lbs so far and 9 weeks. I think alot of it is from Xmas where I just ate and drank like nothing ever before. Then I've just been starving. Have noticed my appetite is getting back to normal now so hopefully I can just take it easy and not gain so much going forward.

Megan2018 · 18/02/2019 15:21

I don’t have scales, so no idea.
I’m not eating too badly though so will just try and eat well and worry about the kg after.

DustyDoorframes · 18/02/2019 16:26

I put on 22kg with my first, and lost 10 of them in the labour ward. He was a chunky babe!

JJ94 · 18/02/2019 17:26

I've lost 6lb so far... at 11 weeks. It's probably my complete lack of appetite!

TwittleBee · 18/02/2019 17:40

Glad I'm not the only one losing weight JJ94 - I felt awkward saying so. Probably because I've been so sick daily though. Although it's only been 1kg (2lbs) so my body clearly retaining some food.

Btw. Totally forgot to mention this weird dream I had last night until now. Dreamt that my DH couldn't be at the Labour because his work wouldn't let him leave (genuine cause for concern, they've never granted paternity leave to anyone!) And so my mum came with me (a total no no as she really pissed me off last time). But the weirdest thing was that DD (yes dreamt it was a girl!) Ended up being born in the triage bit because MWs didn't believe I was in labour and I really calmly just birthed her with barely any pain and was super quick. Just remember my mum calling everyone every name under the sun whilst I calmly BF my new little girl. Was an odd dream, kinda nice but also full of anxiety.
