Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

@happydays00 2 scans and definitely only one! But the doctor did gently warn me about that too, he was quite relieved when I said we’d already checked Grin

I feel like I’m having a boy, DH thinks a girl!
We don’t think we will find out, as we really don’t care either way - but give it a few more months and we might change our mind!!

Fortheloveofscience · 17/02/2019 19:23

Can’t believe there are 12 week scans coming up already! I’m only 9+2 so have to wait another 3 weeks feels like a lifetime.

I’ve felt better the last couple of days and haven’t had to vomit since Friday evening...which has made me panic that something’s gone wrong Sad since it seems very early for symptoms to start to subside.

IVEgottheDECAF · 17/02/2019 19:28

2 dc in bed
2 to go.....

MunchyMunchkin · 17/02/2019 19:36

TMI alert - anyone else getting regular belly ache followed by awful loose poos?
Happened thurs and fri evening and just now. Feel fine after and it’s only the one episode per day. Cursed hormones.

Hsunshine · 17/02/2019 19:46

@fortheloveofscience that happened to me. I still felt sick but stopped being sick, I put it down to knowing what foods to avoid and eating earlier. I had a scan at 7+2 and everything was good so hoping if something had happened I would’ve noticed, but 12 week scan is this week

boodles101 · 17/02/2019 20:08

God I would really love a glass of wine tonight too. Dh went and bought my favourite wine aswell and I just gave him evils as he drank it. I'm not normally a big drinker so I can handle not having it but we've had such a lovely weekend together, just fancied curling up with a glass.
He also kissed my belly goodnight last night and I think that's the first time I've actually felt excited and like things are actually more real. Not sure I've been acknowledging it.
I don't have any feelings about whether it's a boy or girl. With my DS I did have a feeling from early on, plus had all the old wives tales of boy shaped bump, no sickness etc. This time I'm just not sure. Dh is convinced it will be a girl as he's pretty scared of bringing up a girl.

BBell2 · 17/02/2019 20:41

@MunchyMunchkin yes - I am now passing these pregnancy symptoms off D&V which isnt untrue. About 48hours so far, a few times a day - just as I hit 9 weeks.

Im have no feelings either way on the sex, I was so convinced it was a boy with DD I was shocked! I was super spotty and OH was convinced the sonographer refereed to "he". I also don't think I have a preference, always wanted another girl and now that's its a possibility wonder if I would be disappointed a tiny bit to never have a boy.

BBell2 · 17/02/2019 20:45

happydays00 I have never been so dissapointed with the way he is acting, ten years together, 3 years with DD and we always spoke about having another - now the only acknowledgements have been negative (money, sleeplessness, lack of space) all realistic, but when you have no one else to really talk to its draining.
Hopefully scans will bring them round a bit eh? kicks and hickups made it more real last time.

bakingdiva · 17/02/2019 21:30

Not sure about the 'feeling worse with a girl'. Obviously don't know the sex of this one yet, but it's totally different than my last pregnancy, which was a girl.
With dd I had a small amount of afternoon nausea and that's about it. This one, I feel sick as a dog all day and I've been having loads of headaches.

GemmaJen · 18/02/2019 06:03

@MunchyMunchkin yes I had this at 8w, apparently it can be quite normal..wasn't much fun though.

hodgeheg92 · 18/02/2019 07:12

@bakingdiva Same here, I was fine with DD aside from if I was hungry but have been actually sick this time.

I had half a pint with my curry (that I couldn't eat Sad) on Saturday and it was good! I'll probably have the odd half pint with food but nothing else. Although there are some good alcohol free beers around too! So I've got a couple of those in the fridge.

Fortheloveofscience · 18/02/2019 07:22

@HSunshine thank you, that’s reassuring to know. Good luck for your scan Smile.

Hsunshine · 18/02/2019 08:04

@fortheloveofscience I was just sick this morning for the first time in 3 weeks

DustyDoorframes · 18/02/2019 08:15

Yes, I think the girl making you iller thing is most likely nonsense - although I was much worse with my daughter than my son. Older and running after a toddler are probably more likely explanations! I'm more wretched this time so assuming it's another girl though...

excitednerves · 18/02/2019 08:19

I’ve had a busy week so just catching up! This thread moves fast!

Good luck to everyone having scans this week! I’m back in for NT scan on Thurs as last week baby measured 10+6. Can’t wait to see it moving around again.

So much worry has lifted off me in the last week. It all feels real (and exciting!) now!

Karigan195 · 18/02/2019 09:53

Based on that theory I guess it’s a girl in there. Also based on the one harder boob than the other theory someone mentioned. I should find out this week so we can see how accurate it is!

TwittleBee · 18/02/2019 10:08

Based on the sweet or savoury cravings I'm certain to be having a girl haha.

Actually with DS everything apart from my bump position and Chinese calendar pointed at me having a girl so I really dont take much notice.

BBell2 · 18/02/2019 11:44

Saw MW for the first time and she was brilliant, organised, efficient, no BS....and just like last time she is leaving community to go back onto the wards. Last time I saw a raft of temporary ones, once and the final one never returned calls even though I was supposed to have a final growth scan which I never did.

Positive side - electronic notes are a thing here and I have a scan date my husband can actually attend, im so excited!

ChrisPrattsFace · 18/02/2019 11:49

I’m assuming there’s still a lot of us to have the 12w/dating scan?
Mines Thursday, I’m petrified!!

Tefiti2 · 18/02/2019 11:52

Measuring a few days ahead here, EDD 29th Aug, but I’d like to stick around here! So relieved to have hit 12w, good luck to everyone with scans coming up xx
Trying to spot any hint of a nub here for fun... but really can’t see anything 😂

Just seen that Boohoo have 25% discount on their website including their maternity section so worth looking if you need some mat jeans!

JJ94 · 18/02/2019 11:55

Who still has a scans to attend? :)
Mine is 1st March, really looking forward to it, as this is my first baby i sometimes forget it's real (the nausea soon reminds me though).
I feel that seeing our baby on a screen will make it feel completely true!

Karigan195 · 18/02/2019 12:02

My nhs one is 25.2.19. Seems ages away

TwittleBee · 18/02/2019 12:03
