Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

I am definitely showing. Have a fairly obvious bump and can only wear maternity clothes.

@hodgeheg92 the gender guessing is so annoying! I get people reassuring me that it must be a boy because I feel so bad, as though having one of each should somehow make me forget how crap I'm feeling.

Yep me too. Very visible bump. Only maternity clothes fit.

Not having gender guessing though as I know what mine is :)

Megan2018 · 07/03/2019 09:33

I just look a bit generically fat (13wks today).
Nothing actually baby related! I tried on maternity clothes the other night and the jeans wouldn't even stay up so be ages yet I think.

I'm going to buy some really cheap stretchy jeans in a bigger size just to tide me over. Everything else still fits, although I am finding tights feel tight by the end of the day.

Stroan · 07/03/2019 09:46

@megan2018 maternity tights are amazing! I wear them when not pregnant because they actually stay up. Would highly recommend then, you don't need a bump.

Maternity tights are awesome. So comfy! Wearing some now as I now only fit dresses, maternity clothes and one set of outdoor pursuit trousers I accidentally purchased in a size too big 😂

Whisky2014 · 07/03/2019 10:22

I also just look a bit fat. I dont have a bump yet but my tummy is definitely pushed up and out making room for my uterus.
Annoying because I want to have something to show for it!
15 weeks today

maddiecxx · 07/03/2019 10:38

Had another scan today, dates have been changed AGAIN🙄😂 now due 17th September 🥰

14 weeks today and got date for next scan! Exactly 6 weeks! Eek.

KnobJockey · 07/03/2019 10:46

Thanks for the support belt recommendation! I currently look like I'm wearing a giant old fashioned sanitary towel around my waist and there's no hiding I'm pregnant, but it is helping a little!

Looks the same as mine knobjockey except mine is black!

IVEgottheDECAF · 07/03/2019 10:55

happydays i have no idea how i have done this four times, i think once i have the baby in my arms my mind mentally erases all the memories of how hard it was!

I have had to self cert from work for a week. Sure they love me now.

Dc4 (2) has randomly fallen asleep on the sofa so i think i will join him

DustyDoorframes · 07/03/2019 11:23

Do it decaf!!!

Easterbuns1 · 07/03/2019 11:49

I ordered my support belt yesterday, pelvis has been niggling me since the weekend. Absolutely gutted I thought I'd get a few more weeks of normality before I start hobbling. Hopefully just have niggles for a while before I'm full blown hop a long with crutches.

DustyDoorframes · 07/03/2019 12:29

Oh no easter! Fingers crossed the belt nips it in the bud

iano · 07/03/2019 13:06

Hi all, some lovely scan pictures!
Hope the belts work for those in pain.
We had our scan Tuesday. My due date was pushed forward by 3 days to 13th September. We've been told it's likely a second boy. I've already had people say 'that's a shame' which is winding me up!
I'm defo showing and have had the standard 'have you got twins in there' comments Hmm
Anyone else got high blood pressure? I've been referred for it.

Megan2018 · 07/03/2019 13:13

@iano
Yes my BP is a bit dodgy, it isn't awful but not great. I'm on aspirin so far but will be referred to hypertension clinic.

Megan2018 · 07/03/2019 13:14

@iano
Sorry pressed too soon - meant to say Congratulations on the scan! I am due 12 Sept now as got pushed forward too.

iano · 07/03/2019 13:18

They haven't prescribed anything so far. Just referred me. Fingers crossed for us both that it won't be anything serious.
We've very close in due date! Smile

Megan2018 · 07/03/2019 13:22

@iano
The aspirin is standard here if you are over 40 and either first baby or high BP (and I am all 3) as meant to significantly reduce pre-eclampsia risk. 75mg a day - but it was midwife that said this at my booking appointment as not been referred yet either.

DustyDoorframes · 07/03/2019 14:18

I've been referred already (I've history in previous pregnancies and my trust has a big research interest in BP in pregnancy, so are totally on it...). I'm on 150mg aspirin and 1.5g calcium- preventative, as my BP is totally fine (and only ever goes up right at the end), from 10 weeks. Ask your midwife about aspirin, she might suggest you start taking it. There is very little reason not to.

StarLight10 · 07/03/2019 14:33

Hey everyone.
Can't keep up with this thread at all so gonna have a catch up later! Congratulations to all the scans! I had mine this week, I'm now due 15th September!
Can I message you @Easterbuns1 to be added to the Facebook group please?

iano · 07/03/2019 15:08

Thanks @Megan2018 and @DustyDoorframes, that's helpful.
I'll mention it at my next appointment. They seemed pretty hot on getting me sorted at the scan so that's good. Happy to take aspirin if that helps.

MegCharlotte · 07/03/2019 15:27

@MrsCatKins that's amazing! We could bump into each other in labour! Whereabouts do you live? I'm in Horsham.. will you be doing any anti natal classes?

Megan2018 · 07/03/2019 15:28

This is the leaflet that I got at Booking In - it's obviously specific to my trust but yours might have a similar policy.

MyBreadIsEggy · 07/03/2019 16:13

Had my scan this afternoon - all good.
Just showing placenta previa at the moment, but apparently that’s likely to resolve itself before the 20 week scan Smile
