Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

@maddiecxx hiya we are due date buddies ,for now! My scans not till a week on Friday at 12+6 it's doing me head in.

@twittlebee so pleased to see your lovely baby scan must be such a relief for you.

BBell2 · 05/03/2019 20:43

@BridgetJonesDaiquiri I also look sallow, I look older suddenly. At the weekend OH said "I thought pregnant women glowed...you look like a fraggle" would kill him if I could be arsed!

maddiecxx · 05/03/2019 21:09

@BBell2 hey that's great!! Let's hope it doesn't change I'd love a due date buddy☺️ I've got another scan Thursday so they can do the screening tests cannot wait ☺️x

MyBreadIsEggy · 05/03/2019 21:16

Evening all!!
Congratulations on successful scans!
Sorry to lower the tone, but is anyone else really struggling with wind Blush I’m eating a pretty normal diet now the sickness has calmed down, but honestly, I am farting like I’ve never farted before Confused Not necessarily stinky or loud, just a lot! Blush

And on a brighter note, I found a heartbeat with a Doppler today!! Didn’t expect it at all as I’m 11+6 but I recorded it on my phone and sent it to a midwife friend and she confirmed it Grin Her exact words were “that’s either your baby or you’ve picked up your own heartbeat and your extremely tachycardic and on the brink of death” Hmm Grin

Lavellan · 05/03/2019 22:08

Aptly named Eggy. 🤣 I've eaten lentil soup and chilli with beans two days in a row and I feel like a balloon.

hodgeheg92 · 06/03/2019 06:41

Eggy, yes!! It happened during my last pregnancy too and I really can't control it. DH NEVER farts EVER so he is not sympathetic.

IVEgottheDECAF · 06/03/2019 07:24

I have melasma already

Had it last time too

Sad
KnobJockey · 06/03/2019 07:30

Ha Eggy I asked that earlier and no-one else admitted it! Mine are really stinky all the time. Much better now than they were before 10 weeks, but still bad!

Decaf, what's melasma?

IVEgottheDECAF · 06/03/2019 07:35

Pregnancy mask ..... its well attractive you should google it Blush

kyles101 · 06/03/2019 09:18

@MyBreadIsEggy ha ha - the wind was terrible!! I think my husband was secretly impressed, I was horrified, thankfully it seems to have stopped over the last couple of weeks, fingers crossed that doesn't come back 😳 oooh what Doppler do you have? I stumbled across some apps but surely they can't work can they?

Fortheloveofscience · 06/03/2019 09:22

I’m always pretty gassy Blush but some of the smells I’m creating the last few weeks are beyond disgusting. Really can’t wait for this bit to be over.

Scanxiety in full force now, last night I dreamt that I got shot in the tummy and didn’t bleed or get hurt myself (?!), but did lose the baby Sad. Took me a couple of minutes once I woke up to realise it wasn’t true.

DustyDoorframes · 06/03/2019 09:56

Ugh what a horrible way to start the day forthelove.

Wind central here too, ugh.
@IVEgottheDECAF fun and games with the melisma!! You're having all the luck! How's the SPD? I've been thinking of you every time I commute.

IVEgottheDECAF · 06/03/2019 10:05

It is not good

I phoned in sick today

Seeing worlds least empathetic gp ever later Hmm

Karigan195 · 06/03/2019 10:05

Round ligament pain sucks. Turn over in bed and it bloody hurts.

MyBreadIsEggy · 06/03/2019 10:22

I’m glad I’m not the only one farting like it’s an Olympic sport!
It’s worse in the evenings and first thing in the morning. It’s like I wake up and my belly feels really bloated and uncomfortably full, then I let out a massive, long, but almost silent “hiss” fart and I instantly feel better Blush
Jesus I’d forgotten how glamourous this whole process is!
I also got my first nosebleed of this pregnancy this morning. I got them all the time with DC2, but had avoided it this time until now!
I’m trying to figure out how to get my heartbeat recording into a format so I can share it with you guys, but I’m coming up blank so far Blush

Megan2018 · 06/03/2019 11:13

I'm always gassy but definitely worse than ever. Fortunately I only sleep with the cats and they don't seem to mind as definitely worse first thing and last thing!

Today was a new low - was sick in the shower in the middle of washing hair. Am 13 weeks tomorrow so was hoping it'd stop soon - I know I have got off lightly as am not nauseous, just suddenly and randomly sick.

Karigan195 · 06/03/2019 11:32

Oh Megan that’s where I got hit worse. I think it’s the heat from the water. Kind of makes me feel light headed too. Finding even now at 15 weeks I have to sit for a bit after a shower and have cold water to drink

IVEgottheDECAF · 06/03/2019 12:00

I get light headed in the bath sometimes, always make sure i have a drink to hand.

I have been having nosebleeds for weeks, including in my sleep and while being sick.

I do not like this pregnancy lark Envy

Whisky2014 · 06/03/2019 12:12

Megan2018 I was also sick in the shower last week but that was when i was ill. I never had morning sickness with this pregnancy just occasional feeling sick. Anyhoo sick in the shower is horrific!

I'm always windy anyway but I do think it has increased a little. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow I think.

Mentioned about a scan at 16 or 17 weeks to husband and He thought irs a waste of money since I'll have a scan at 20 weeks. Spose it is but its ages to wait!

Yesterday I started getting like a jabbing pain in my left side near my tummy. Still happening today so I'm wondering if that's round ligament pain or something else.

I'm still coughing and blowing my nose from last week's illness and noticed blood in my tissue. I forgot nose bleeds are a pregnancy thing so maybe it's part of that or maybe my nose is just tender...who knows.

Also, I bought softer bras so wear and are much more comfy. Remember i posted a pic of my breast and some people thought it looked like mastitis? Well, I never got anything done about it, I was sure it was to do with my bra but when i was off sick I didn't wear a bra at all and my breast still have the red mark. It is not but not sore.
So don't know what that is either!

And yy to looking old! I look terrible!

LyraLupin · 06/03/2019 12:34

Hi I have been reading this since the beginning but was too scared to join until the 12 week scan. I’m due 7th Sept with second baby, will have a 2 1/2 year old boy by time baby comes. Have felt so much worse this time around but I think it’s a combination of being less fit, more overweight and chronic sleep deprivation as my son still doesn’t sleep through!

Congratulations for everyone’s scans and sympathy for any horrible symptoms.

DustyDoorframes · 06/03/2019 12:36

Ugh megan that's grim! I'm the opposite to you, tons of nausea but no chunder bar once (after drinking a glass of water...)
Oh decaf I do agree, and I'm having a much easier time of it than you- this pregnancy lark is for the birds! But they babies though... so addictive and snuggly... I'm v glad you rang in sick though. Good luck with Dr Fun later!!!
@stroan how are you doing?? Is your nausea fading a bit? I hope so!!

Stroan · 06/03/2019 13:14

Awe @dustydoorframes thank you for asking.

Unfortunately, it's not. 14 weeks now and it's probably getting worse, I'm being sick now too. I've run out of things I can stomach drinking so every day is a battle to not get too dehydrated, with all the headaches and fun symptoms that come with it. Very bored of being told that I'll feel better after 12 weeks!

On top of all that I sneeze all day long and then got thrush for the first time ever. I'm very grateful to be pregnant, but I'm finding this pregnancy so hard. Nothing like with DD and it's making me miserable.

Sorry, that was a bit of a pity party, you probably wish you hadn't asked.

IVEgottheDECAF · 06/03/2019 13:18

Fancy a joint pity party stroan? I am feeling massively sorry for myself today Sad

Stroan · 06/03/2019 13:23

The more the merrier! I couldn't go to work today so I've got all day to feel sorry for myself.

Whenever DD gets home, she automatically goes to my bedroom because that's where she expects to find me. That's killing me. This pregnancy is so rubbish for her.
