Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

The Dean of my faculty (my boss's boss) made me cry today - he found out and made a point of congratulating me and saying that I must be careful to avoid stress, if I want to work at home or drop anything work wise it is fine, do whatever is needed to keep us both well - he says it is very important I put the baby before work.

So lovely. He is always lovely anyway, but particularly so today - I am so lucky with where I work!

happydays00 · 06/03/2019 13:44

Can I join the pity party too? I am 13+4 now and am feeling the worst that I have done so far. Extremely nauseous all of the time, sick about 5 times a day and now starting to get migraines!

I suffered really badly with migraines when pregnant with my DD and had to take a month off work. Luckily I have a couple of weeks off until the start of my next contract but I need to have got my crap together by then!!

Pregnancy is so hard! @IVEgottheDECAF how have you done this 4 times??

Lavellan · 06/03/2019 14:07

That is so nice @megan2018 I've been a bit stressed at work this week since there's some chemicals being worked with that I shouldn't be near, but I also need to be in the room to get my work done. So I'm trying to do all the work in half the usual time. This isn't really how risk assessment is supposed to go. :( Hopefully it will be finished next week and I can have my room back.

Babybee88 · 06/03/2019 14:32

12 week scan went well Smile they've moved me forward by 4 days so now due on 12th September, yipee! Such a relief to have this first scan over and done with.

Snap @Babybee88! We got moved on 4 days to 12 September too. Congratulations!

Babybee88 · 06/03/2019 14:44

Oooh @Megan2018, we're due date buddies! Grin

I'm so impatient to find out the sex, for some reason I think this baby looks like a girl but can't pinpoint why I think that!

Stroan · 06/03/2019 14:53

@happydays00 it's rubbish, isn't it? Glad you have some time off.

I'm sure I should be signed off but I'm still new and I don't feel that my job is secure enough. Plus they'd be screwed as no-one else can do the stuff I do. I work from home when I can, but definitely not today.

@Babybee88
Mine is a girl! Be funny if yours is too :)

Babybee88 · 06/03/2019 15:33

@Megan2018 aww a wee girl Smile I know, right? My first is a girl, she's 19 months. Is this your first baby?

Megan2018 · 06/03/2019 15:36

@Babybee88 yes first and likely only as I will be 41, DH 46 when she arrives!

Sarah2809 · 06/03/2019 15:42

Hi! I hope you don't mind me joining Smile

I'm due 24 September (it was actually my due date all those years ago!)

I've been very tired, I've had really sore/ tender boobs and all I want to do all day every day is eat! Feeling lucky to have missed out of the sickness so far..!

Easterbuns1 · 06/03/2019 15:52

Nice to see more newcomers and successful scans!

I'm a right miserable moo today, feeling exhausted but also stressing in general about everything. I just want to go to bed and hide!

DustyDoorframes · 06/03/2019 15:59

Oh @Stroan that's so grim, pity party is definitely needed!!! I'm nowhere near as bad as you and want a frickin' pity parade for the poor poor pregnant woman!!! I completely hear what you say re your DD- and I'm so sure that she doesn't see it that way. They are so oblivious, funny wee things, she probably just likes having her mum nice and flat for climbing on top of...
Human beings really are shit at this! How are we not extinct??

happydays00 · 06/03/2019 16:03

@stroan it certainly can be! A couple of my friends have had a miscarriage recently which makes me feel particularly guilty moaning about any aspect of this pregnancy at all!

How are the meds helping your HG? Have there been any improvements at all?

ShowerTheHorse · 06/03/2019 16:50

Hi everyone! I've followed from the beginning but only just getting brave enough to join in! I'm due the 21st September and have my 12 week scan on Monday at 8 am! I'm a bag of nerves atm as I had a missed miscarriage in August.

May join Facebook group after my scan. Hopefully everything is okay in there!

Stroan · 06/03/2019 16:52

@happydays00 same. I've got friends going through fertility issues and feel so bad about how much I'm hating this. I would never say anything to them, obviously.

They take the edge off, I can tell when they are wearing off. But overall, there's no major improvement and I'm still barely functioning. Seeing a consultant again on Friday but I doubt there's anything else to try, the ones I'm on are really the last resort.

@ShowerTheHorse hey!! We're due date buddies!! I'm due the 21st too, I thought I was due 11th but had my dates put back Monday x

ZigZaggyZoo · 06/03/2019 20:17

Lovely scan baby. Congratulations!

MegCharlotte · 06/03/2019 21:27

Hello! I am new to this thread, due 6ty September! Had the scan last week and it's all getting very exciting!
Is anyone showing yet? I sometimes think I am, but wonder if it could be me being bloated!

hodgeheg92 · 06/03/2019 21:37

Sorry to read lots of you are struggling, I had nausea badly for maybe a month and sickness for a fortnight and that was enough for me. Aside from some shooting pains tonight (not sure why, it's wayyy too early for lightning vagina!) I'm feeling pretty good physically.

I'm all over the place emotionally though.

hodgeheg92 · 06/03/2019 21:38

Sorry forgot to add - congrats to those with lovely scans of healthy beans!

MrsCatKins · 06/03/2019 22:28

@MegCharlotte I'm under East Surrey Hospital as well and my due date is the 7th Sept!! How exciting!!

SJGR · 06/03/2019 22:42

@hodgeheg92 ahhhh fanny daggers - I had them all the way though last time... nightmare. Not happened this time - weird how different my two pregnancies have been so far!

TwittleBee · 07/03/2019 05:02

Has anyone else started getting BHs yet? I'm 12+2 today and yesterday was bloody awful for them. Not sure if it's because we done a lot of walking, I remember exercise set them off with DS. Don't remember getting them this early though, think it was around week 16 I started noticing them last time!

hodgeheg92 · 07/03/2019 06:30

@SJGR Definitely different! I don't like telling people that though cos then they go "Ooo it must be a boy this time!" because I have a DD and the gender guessing is annoying me already! I didn't realise that the fanny daggers could start this early, they really take my breath away. I think last night might have been my cyst bursting though, fingers crossed, the sonographer said that may happen and I hope it does cos I'll be big enough with just baby in there!

@MegCharlotte I'm showing at 12 weeks, especially in my world book day outfit Grin so I'm glad that work already know and will be making a speedy drop off at nursery (who don't know yet)
