Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

@Karigan195 Me 🙋‍♀️ Although I must admit I've been slack through the first trimester. I find it confusing as well. I know you can continue doing anything you were doing previously, but I'm taking it pretty easy. Instead of pushing myself to run solidly, I'll run for 10, walk for 1, etc. I figure mixing in the walking is raising and lowering my heart rate, which does make for good exercise. I know HIIT is off the table in pregnancy. It's very confusing though!

Parent19876 · 04/03/2019 11:04

Hey ladies!
Twelve week scan went very well today- little frog wouldn't wake up and was laying on their side, so was sent off to drink more and have a walk around. Ate some sweets and seemed to do the trick!
New due date is 9 September, so now 13 weeks!
Can't wait to hear how everyone else's scan went!

Yeah more positive scans. Congrats to you both! 💓

Karigan195 · 04/03/2019 11:09

@KLane I was slack for the first trimester but feeling more up to it now baby’s lifted and sickness has eased. Finding I get hot quickly though!

Also finding clothes that fit sucks. Last few weeks my stomachs expanded rapidly!

DustyDoorframes · 04/03/2019 11:27

Yay @Parent19876 and @Megan2018 ! megan fingers crossed your BP was just due to the scan nerves!!
Really thinking if you today @TwittleBee xxx

DustyDoorframes · 04/03/2019 11:30

Ps I've got my 10 week appointment with the BP clinic this afternoon. They occasionally do a scan so I've got my fingers crossed- though I'm fairly sure they only did that much later on last time- and it would be pretty unfair on poor old DP as I'll be solo! I think it's just going to be a midwife telling me to take aspirin and taking my bloods etc.

Megan2018 · 04/03/2019 11:45

I have white coat syndrome so bp always bad in medical setting, but I am borderline hypertension so will be monitored. Start aspirin today.

Megan2018 · 04/03/2019 11:50

Congratulations @Parent19876
We can relax! A bit at least. Phew.

DustyDoorframes · 04/03/2019 11:52

My trust puts everyone over 40 on aspirin anyway, I think there are very few downsides to taking it. Are you on 75mg? I think I'll be on that as of this afternoon too...

Koalaby · 04/03/2019 12:22

Yay for all the positive scans!

@Karigan195 I'm a runner! I ran until 7 months with my previous pregnancy and it didn't cause any issues. Just take it easy. I generally only do 5k at a time in pregnancy and don't push the pace. Stop when your body tells you it's had enough :)

hodgeheg92 · 04/03/2019 12:24

Congrats @megan2018 and @parent19876, lovely scan photos even if babies were a bit tricky!

Easterbuns1 · 04/03/2019 12:41

Good news for the scans so far today!

Everything fine with me too and no explanation for the blood so can only assume it will be a regular unexplained occurrence as it was with the older two.

Whisky2014 · 04/03/2019 12:44

Great news Easter! congrats to all on lovely scans.

I'm thinking of booking a sexing scan at 16 weeks because I don't want to wait so long! But then irs only 4 weeks after 16bweeks until 20th so not sure if it's a waste :/

Megan2018 · 04/03/2019 12:51

@DustyDoorframes yes 75mg. The GP wrote me a prescription for it but gave me soluble ones which are vile so I have instead bought some in Boots. They were only pennies so not bothered about paying.

It is standard here is you have 2 or more risk factors. First baby and over 40 counts as 2, plus hypertension is a 3rd - so I qualify on several counts. My BP not horrific so I am not overly worried and additional monitoring is welcome anyway. I might also qualify for the elective section too!

Megan2018 · 04/03/2019 12:52

That's good news @Easterbuns1!

I have moved my date on the google drive doc as my EDD is now 12/09

DustyDoorframes · 04/03/2019 13:05

Yay @Easterbuns1! Hopefully that's it for unexplained bleeds now, argh.

@Megan2018 yes, I must say I highly recommend mild preeclampsia/mildly dodgy BP. No symptoms you'd notice, no lasting consequences, lots of support from lovely midwives etc...

BBell2 · 04/03/2019 13:40

I feel good for the first time in weeks today, so I ate a normal (if a little bland ham sandwich!) lunch and a banana and now I want to fall asleep! like I could close my eyes and zonk in a meeting - like a food coma from a single sandwich :)

kyles101 · 04/03/2019 14:31

So great to see all the lovely scans 😍 enjoying the first day of my week off by... cleaning the house, my mum is here to help too so that's a real help. We've just got back from a lovely long walk, might have a nap before prepping dinner!

TwittleBee · 04/03/2019 14:54

Dating scan complete! All looks lovely! Been dated at 17.09.19 now rather than 19.09.19 as put at previous scans!

Brilliant! Congrats to you too. :)

DustyDoorframes · 04/03/2019 15:05

Oh @TwittleBee that's brilliant news!!!!! I'm so glad!

KLane · 04/03/2019 15:13

Such great news @TwittleBee Smile

TwittleBee · 04/03/2019 15:15

No sign of bleeding internally and actually was bleeding at time of the scan so they've put it down to an irritated cervix again!

Easterbuns1 · 04/03/2019 15:38

Great news @TwittleBee I've been looking out for your update. I think the pair of us might end up with recurrently misbehaving cervix!

Dipsy77 · 04/03/2019 16:36

That's great news twittlebee Smile
