Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

Morning everyone Smile.

I’m 11 weeks with my first and amazed at how much my bloating looks like a baby bump. I’m in a catch-22 situation with work because I live in a ‘uniform’ of a handful of shift dresses, they make my growing tummy very obvious but equally it’ll be noticed and commented on if I switch to wearing something else. Tried to win some maternity dresses on eBay but no success yet.

There’s a horrible cold going round at work at the moment and I’m terrified I’ve caught it. Last 2 days I’ve had a headache, had no energy (again - I only got it back a week ago!) and generally feeling rough. Seems to be giving people nasty fevers which is panicking me slightly as I know it’s not good to have a temperature...

TwittleBee · 02/03/2019 09:04

DustyDoorframes I thought I had a obvious bump at 9 weeks and as it was pretty constant I didn't think it was bloat. But now I'm nearing 12 weeks it's pretty much all gone.

I've got a very small and firm bump in my pelvis area now and still managing to wear all my normal jeans done up, actually last night for my parents party I even dug out a slinky outfit I haven't worn since I was 21 and it got perfect! Everyone there said they'd never know I was pregnant!

Don't think I'll be showing any time soon properly despite this not being my first pregnancy!

Babybee88 · 02/03/2019 09:08

I'm starting to freak out a bit. I'm 11+5, up until a few days ago I had nausea every day, total exhaustion, lack of appetite, terrible insomnia and a bump (this is DC2). But now I feel like all these symptoms have gone and my bump has got loads smaller Sad The only thing is, I have sore boobs now (didn't have sore boobs until a few days ago). Starting to worry something has gone wrong, my 12 week scan is Wednesday and it can't come soon enough, this first trimester worrying is the pits!

TwittleBee · 02/03/2019 09:09

I know how you Feel hun Babybee but remember as you get nearer to the end of 1st trimester that your symptoms do start to ease, especially nausea and bloat! My bump is pretty much gone now and I remember this happening before too, it's just because we are less bloated now.

Babybee88 · 02/03/2019 09:15

Thanks @TwittleBee for the reassurance. I know, it just seemed to happen overnight though and I feel almost normal now! So hard not to worry isn't it?

TwittleBee · 02/03/2019 09:18

Yeah it really is hard! I've got my scan on Monday and totally bricking it Babybee but FX that we both (and everyone else) have lovely smooth scans

Fortheloveofscience · 02/03/2019 09:22

Babybee have a google for pictures of graphs of hcg levels in first trimester - they drop off a cliff edge after the peak, and can go back to the level of when you were 4-5 weeks, so feeling suddenly ‘unpregnant’ isn’t too surprising Smile. Totally get the worry, though. My scan’s not til Friday and I’m already so nervous I’m struggling to sleep even more than usual.

DustyDoorframes · 02/03/2019 09:50

Yeah, @TwittleBee it's definitely bloat (and is twice as big by bedtime...) but it's helpfully arranged itself into a very telling shape. Ho hum. Yay to party slinkiness!
@Babybee88 I'm really hoping for the magic symptom lifting next week at 10 weeks- but I know if it happens I'll be fretting like crazy.
Good luck to the impending scan peeps!

Megan2018 · 02/03/2019 11:02

My bump is all bloat and so far everything fits but glad to get jeans and breeches off as not comfy.
There is a small firm bit low down which is baby related I tnk but not visible through clothes. I think it’ll be weeks more yet for me.

Dipsy77 · 02/03/2019 11:19

Had my scan this morning all ok I'm a week further than I thought so 11+6 they did the Dating scan there and then so I don't need to go back for it. No explanation for the bleeding but it's stopped now I'll post pictures later feeling so relieved :)

Easterbuns1 · 02/03/2019 11:25

Great news @Dipsy77 it's such a relief!

DustyDoorframes · 02/03/2019 11:31

Oh @Dipsy77 that's fantastic!!
Yeah @Megan2018 I was 20 weeks when I showed with my first. Third time now and my body's going "yup, hang it all out..."

Karigan195 · 02/03/2019 11:34

@Dipsy77 brilliant news

Easterbuns1 · 02/03/2019 12:24

My bloats fine but I've been left with a wee bump low down. Tbh I just look like I've eaten too many pies.

Easterbuns1 · 02/03/2019 12:24

Gone even, not fine!

MyBreadIsEggy · 02/03/2019 15:42

AGAin, was pulled into a sense of false hope that the sickness was easing off a bit this morning (11+3), but got home this afternoon and I feel like I’m dying again.
DH is off on a training exercise for 2 weeks as of tomorrow, DCs are completely fucking feral, and I’m praying for some miracle energy booster to rain down on me from somewhere Blush

DustyDoorframes · 02/03/2019 17:21

Oh no eggy! Here's to 11+4 being the day your placenta kicks in!!!

Hsunshine · 02/03/2019 17:37

@babybee88 that happened to me, and I didn’t have sore boobs until about week 11. I got so stressed out but everything was ok for me

Hsunshine · 02/03/2019 17:37

I need some dresses that are not maternity dresses but will keep fitting for a while..., any suggestions?

challengeyourreality · 02/03/2019 17:55

Hi everyone, I haven't written since I introduced myself but keen to get back involved. Pregnant with DC3, 12w+4 today. I'm feeling much less tired now, have a definite bump too, looks like 24 weeks.

@Hsunshine does it need to be non maternity? I have some Hope & Ivy Maternity dresses and they don't look like typical maternity wear and could pass as non pregnancy clothing. I can wear them casual or dressy and I'm very pleased with the fit and prints. Keen to hear if any others have recommendations.

Hsunshine · 02/03/2019 18:00

@challengeyourreality I don’t really have a bump yet so I don’t know if I’m too small for maternity?

IVEgottheDECAF · 02/03/2019 18:24

challenge i am 12+3 with dc5 and a clear bump

Those who will have a 2 and a half to 3 year old when baby is born what are your plans re a pram? Dc4 will be 3 in October, i dont drive and walk a lot. I dont think i need a double but whenever we have a bad school run i find myself doubting this

TwittleBee · 02/03/2019 18:26

We aren't bothering with a double IVEgottheDECAF but then again the I don't bother much now with a pram now (DS is 19 months). I find he prefers to walk anyway. Although we will take it if it is going to be a long day out over his nap time. Hoping a buggy board will be enough for him by September!

IVEgottheDECAF · 02/03/2019 18:29

Do you drive twittle? We use the pram every day without fail

TwittleBee · 02/03/2019 18:33

I do drive yeah but only really to and from work or if we were heading to the beach or farm. Everything else is local to us luckily. DS is just a nightmare in the pram unless he is tired, if he walks he is much better behaved (probably because he then has to have my attention on him I guess?)
