Hi,

It looks like we filled up the last thread before anyone had a chance to start a new one, so here we go! Hope everyone finds their way over.

@twittlebee could you possibly link to the Google Doc again?

@karigan195 so glad you were seen again and got a bonus scan. Lovely to get a bit of reassurance too, hope the next 7 days go quickly for you.

oh lovely scans and results! Cannot wait for my dating scan now! eeek, 12 days to go!

No sickness again this morning. Although last night I felt a bit nauseous whilst waiting for dinner as got hungry. I think I must be just bloomin getting over it. With DS it lasted right into the 2nd trimester, this pregnancy certainly does feel so different.

Karigan195 · 20/02/2019 09:27

@Megan2018. Yay. Baby looks good though so personally I think you’ll be fine :)

Easterbuns1 · 20/02/2019 10:40

Congrats @Megan2018 and everyone else who had had scans. I hope the wait for your results goes as quick as it can!

I have my bloods tomorrow so started to worry about that and next weeks scan, I had been more chilled this past week after my early scan but definitely back to worrying again now.

April88 · 20/02/2019 11:08

Congratulations everyone on your scans, so exciting!

Karigan195 · 20/02/2019 11:22

Anyone else getting tingling boobs. It’s hard to describe as the only thing like it I’ve felt was that ‘release’ when you heard a baby crying whilst breastfeeding and suddenly you’re leaking everywhere....

KnobJockey · 20/02/2019 11:38

Yasmin, I'm really struggling with back pain. I have to sit at a desk all day, and then I'm knackered by evening, so sitting still. It's really getting me down a bit. I will also look at those support bands, anybody heard of any recommended for office workers. A quick read through is showing that most of them are bump support, not back support, so might ride up while sitting.

Look at these type not the elastic band things

Good news is flooding in! Congratulations Cheekychimp, Karigan, Jazzyjellybeans and Megan.
I've not had a date for my booking apt yet. I'm hoping it comes soon so I can book the 12 week scan!

SuperNoodley · 20/02/2019 12:08

Hello All,
Please may I join you and ask your advice?
I'm 11 weeks 6-days today and have my NIPT test and private scan on Friday. I found out today that I still have to have an NHS dating scan at the hospital if I want my medical care to remain there, they've booked me in for the following Friday.
Has anyone else had scans a week apart and is it okay? According to my earlier scan, I'll be 12w+1d and 13w+1d.

This is all new to me and I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing as the anxiety is real! Many thanks

IVEgottheDECAF · 20/02/2019 12:13

Multiple scans shouldnt be an issue, enjoy seeing baby more!

boodles101 · 20/02/2019 12:19

karigan yes I get tingly boobs every so often and fills like milk filling up. I was never a leaker or let down when babies cried but I definitely know the feeling you mean!

TwittleBee · 20/02/2019 12:23

hello SuperNoodley and welcome. Multiple scans are fine, many of us had quite a few already. Scans use sound waves and not X-Rays

TwittleBee · 20/02/2019 12:24

Oh same here with the boob let down feeling - but then I have already started leaking. Well actually I havent stopped leaking since my last pregnancy in November... So think my boobs are just odd...

hodgeheg92 · 20/02/2019 14:39

My boobs have been feeling odd and I couldn't describe it but you're right, it's the tingly let down sensation!

Glad the scan went well Megan

Megan2018 · 20/02/2019 14:41

Thanks all
Feeling better that there is a definite baby in there! Still anxious obviously but feeling more positive.

My boobs tingle sometimes. They hurt in bed-they feel like they have a large heavy metal disc behind each nipple. But in the day they sometimes go very tingly and odd.

Karigan195 · 20/02/2019 14:45

Glad it’s not just me!

I think the worry never stops. I’ve seen my baby on scans at 10 +4 then 11+ 5 and still worried I’m going to get to Monday and they’ll be a problem.

Whisky2014 · 20/02/2019 14:56

I know th8s sounds like a silly question but WHERE do you start showing? I had a little but of a tummy from nit exercisjng and overeating but not horrific. Anyhoo this is now a proper wee pot belly and my husband says that I'm showing. But I am sure I shpuld "show" lower down more like in pelvic area? My cousin is 2 months mote pregnant than me and she told me to push her tummy to feel her hard bump and it was lower than my pot belly.
Basically I just want to know if I'm getting fatter and still not showing much!

LaBelleSausage · 20/02/2019 15:27

Got my scan date through! 10.50 on 11th March, which is good as we are off to a centre parks type village that week and I’d have been frustrated if we had to rearrange, but it seems we can just go afterwards!

Also told my boss and her boss today as I know they have a variety of projects to plan and resource to map out across the team, both were lovely even though I’ll only have been back for ten months (at most) when I go off again

boodles101 · 20/02/2019 17:14

So my best friend arranged a last minute play date at a farm today. I realised on the way there about avoiding sheep etc and figured I would just tell her if I had to. Then when the kids all ran in the sheep pen, we both slowed down and avoided going in. We looked at each other and she said are you not going in there for the same reason I'm not?? Turns out we are just a week apart. I'm so happy, it's actually made me look forward to things more now.

DustyDoorframes · 20/02/2019 18:04

@boodles101 that's brilliant!! I've a dearth of bumpy friends at the mo, I've my fingers crossed for someone turning out to be. Mat leave is much more fun with a buddy!

Megan2018 · 20/02/2019 18:20

@boodles101
That’s so nice! Literally no chance of any pregnant friends here. Everyone I know had their families donkeys years ago. I don’t know anyone close with even a toddler. My BF kids are 14 and 21....
But I am hoping I might meet someone theough NCT.

Hsunshine · 20/02/2019 18:38

@whisky2014 I am wondering this too, trying to decide if starting to show or just gaining weight from too much unhealthy food. Mr thinks it’s showing but I’m not convinced

jazzyjellybeans · 20/02/2019 18:47

What a fantastic scan pic @Megan2018! I have my NIPT on Saturday. Fingers crossed all is well x

boodles101 · 20/02/2019 19:54

Yes it was just so nice to hear. She is the most fantastic aunt and does so great with everyone else's children but she always said she wouldn't want her own til she was alot older. So it was quite a surprise! And just really happy that we can both do it together.

Fortheloveofscience · 20/02/2019 23:02

Random question, but does anyone have hives? I’ve been getting a couple of itchy red patches that look like bites each day and now have 15ish all over my chest and back, I’ve even got one on my arm...
