@Lulabell1 I hope baby is well soon and that you're ok, lots of love.

@Celebelly glad you're going home, now for the fun to begin with getting settled at home, it'll be lovely x

Susannach · 10/02/2019 19:48

Yay Celebelly! Enjoy Smile

Susannach · 10/02/2019 19:48

I should know this but can’t remember from my other children, do you have to take your own towel to hospital or will they provide one?

Camsie30 · 10/02/2019 20:01

@Susannach definitely take one. Even if the hospital have one I can't imagine it will be very nice!

hayley013 · 10/02/2019 20:07

I'm taking a small towel but they did provide me with them with dd and they were ok

Yakadee · 10/02/2019 20:58

I took one too but they gave me a few and they weren't too bad. I'd probably take one just in case x

AmberRose17 · 10/02/2019 22:23

Congratulations @celebelly and @lulabell1 on your arrivals. Wishing your little one a quick recovery @lulabell1.

Things definitely starting to happen here. Sweep this morning and was 2cm with baby’s head very low and cervix soft. Had a show mid afternoon and getting lots of cramping in lower back and lower tummy. Not how I thought contractions would feel but having to use breathing to get through them.

Rang labour ward who said I should stay home until the contractions are more powerful so now trying to rest. But all a new experience as this is (hopefully) a VBAC. Wish me luck!

AvoidingMarking · 10/02/2019 22:24

Exciting @AmberRose17. Hope you get the birth you want this time x

babyp160 · 11/02/2019 01:02

@Lulabell1 I'm so sorry you must be having a hard time. Stay strong 😘

@detachablehoof they leave my midnight where I was unless you're 4cm and in the labour ward. I cried every time and OH was always nearly sick when he got the car as he felt awful. He only told me this after. But when baby is here we had the same, home by midnight which is just crazy. It'll be fine xx

babyp160 · 11/02/2019 01:04

On another note our baby William arrived Friday by c section in the end. I was discharged 24 hours later and am recovering well. Baby is amazing and my milks come in already. Complete booby boy!!!! So happy.

maxiflump1 · 11/02/2019 03:03

Aw congratulations @babyp160 on the birth of William. Was wondering how you were doing! Glad you're home and settling in with your new little boy x

clairehr · 11/02/2019 06:38

Huge congrats to all the new mummas and welcome to the world Feb babies! Can't really believe we've been on this journey together for 9 months ladies!

Due date is tomorrow for me, but no signs of baby coming. Have a sweep booked tomorrow, and if that doesn't do anything it will be induction for me a week today.

Yakadee · 11/02/2019 07:17

@babyp160 - congratulations! Love his name 😍 Glad all is going well xxx

Notquiteagandt · 11/02/2019 07:18

Still in hospital. My little girls 10 day check today. Fingers crossed this means we can get home 🤞🏻 so much riding on today. Im a nervous wreck..!!

detachablehoof · 11/02/2019 07:29

Just woken up with a slightly wet sensation and I'm leaking pink watery discharge 🤔 I'd definitely know if it was my waters wouldn't I? But it seems to watery to be mucous plug / bloody show...
Not sure what to do!

lanalawr · 11/02/2019 08:04

@detachablehoof some people say their waters trickle. If you think it could be then you could give your birthing centre/hospital a ring for advice. They're sometimes able to check if it's your waters.

detachablehoof · 11/02/2019 08:08

@lanalawr just rang maternity assessment and they've said keep a pad in and call back in an hour. Seems to have stopped now...

Evidently something is happening anyway, maybe I won't have to be induced on Thursday after all!!

Didn't get much sleep last night and was going to have a big lie in but can't get back to sleep now of course!!

Yakadee · 11/02/2019 08:12

@Notquiteagandt - everything is crossed for you 🤞🤞

@detachablehoof - I'm one of those people who's waters trickled. I would second calling just to be on the safe side xx

bubblybrit · 11/02/2019 09:19

Congratulations @babyp160! So glad William has arrived and is feeding for you x

bubblybrit · 11/02/2019 09:22

Sorry if this is TMI....for those of you that have had a sweep....mine was yesterday and since then I’ve had brown mucus discharge. Not huge amounts all in the one go but definitely each time I go to the toilet. Do you think this is my plug or just consequence of sweep?

Susannach · 11/02/2019 09:36

Congratulations babyp!

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/02/2019 09:56

bubblybrit sounds like it could be the start of your plug, my sweep worked within 24 hours (they always do I think) and I started having contractions, then the following day my plug started coming out, I think it started quite light at first but increased. Fingers crossed it's something starting to happen!

Congratulations on the birth of baby William baby160p! Lovely news.

Sorry to hear how poorly your little one has been lulabell1. Fingers crossed he's on the mend as soon as possible xx

Lookingforadvice123 · 11/02/2019 09:57

Lulabell1 *she not he!

bubblybrit · 11/02/2019 10:52

@Lookingforadvice123. Oh I do hope so! Midwife seemed pretty certain that sweep was favourable and that DH and I would be meeting our little girl sooner rather than later! Hope she hasn’t built my hopes up unnecessarily lol 😂

DeliberatelyGinger · 11/02/2019 11:49

Anyone else considering turning down a sweep?
